    Boone Creek Cabinetry & Design
Denis was fantastic to work with. He was very reasonably priced based on the work we wanted done - his design ideas and his methodology made it easy to follow along with and ultimately trust him. We started with our master bath reno, which was a big project. His design was flawless and they completed the work in the time he expected. When issues came up, he was upfront about the cost and the options. We finished bath and decided to completely gut and re-do our basement. Same story, great design, kept in mind our family, our use cases and needs. He even built a custom wine cellar underneath our staircase. 100% would recommend Denis and his team to anyone.

    GR General Contracting
After much consideration we hired GR General Contracting to finish our basement. I can honestly say we are very glad we made that decision. Gordon and his crew were nothing but polite & courteous and able to work with us on a couple of changes we had throughout the process making the changes seamless. We were able to add a bedroom and bathroom in a space that we were told by others would be not possible. They were able complete our project within our original budget and in a reasonable time frame. Communication was always great and they let us know of any delays before they happened. Most were due to the inspection process. That again was an area we did not have any experience in. Gordon removed that worry for us by taking care of it from the start. I cannot recommend GR General Contracting enough and have already referred them to our friends for a remodel they have planned.

United Structural Systems of Illinois Inc
United was very prompt in returning my initial emails and came out to give me an estimate to inject one crack in my basement wall - $385. I thought this was fair when compared to another similar quote by another contractor.  United also noticed another crack in the same wall, but said because it was not leaking, that I might be able to hold off. They gave me a written quote and did not pressure me nor push me to commit to their estimate. I went with United because they were more professional than the other contractor. I was surpised how they were able to schedule my repair within two weeks. Although they had to reschedule my repair date, they contacted me well before hand and let me pick the reschedule date. They showed up on this date on time and got to work immediately. They were very competent from the start. It was at this time that I decided to have them inject the second crack (that originally I was going to let go).  Because we are going to finish this basement, I wanted to be sure there were no future leaks and to cover all bases. United agreed this was the best way to go and quoted me an additional $185. I felt this was better than having potential problems down the road.  They were done with both cracks within two hours and showed me what they had done.  They left the basement clean and gave me instructions to let the expoxy set for 2 days.  We have had two rain storms and I have not seen any water.  I will wait until we get a really heavy downpour to see if the repair holds. If it does, we will start finishing the basement. Yes, I would use them again and can highly recommend them.

    Dave Anderson Concrete Inc
I contacted Dave by email to get a quote on concrete work including footings for a deck and then a concrete patio as well. I attached the architect's foundation plan so he could see the scope of the work and requested for him to call me back at his convenience to discuss the details. He responded by email within 30 minutes and was polite in his email which was "Thanks for the offer but pretty much booked for the fall". He didn't even put forth the effort to discuss the project otherwise he would have learned that I am getting quotes for Spring 2016 and not a last minute fall project. I'm glad that business is so good that he can blindly turn down large projects, however I will never use him for any work.

Amazing. First I would highly recommend AHS to work on their main sewer replacement. Dan and team were so HONEST throughout the 3 days of service. They were clean and organized and did the job RIGHT. First because my piping went through my garage, they dug up in the garage and replaced the cast iron piping because our piping had crazy 90 degree turns multiple times. They replaced it all with the right pitches and flow. Then my piping flowed to the left which turned into clay piping and was under the front sidewalk near the house. Only one square had to be taken out to get to the clay pipe. At that point a four foot section was replaced which was clogged with roots. A bundle of roots clogged. It was replaced with PVC and a clean out was installed as well. About a 20 foot section didn't even to be replaced saved me over 2 grand. Note honesty - AHS did the job what had to be done. The final day they filled in the holes and put new concrete in the hole in the garage and replaced the 1 square. The concrete job they did was GREAT! Like I said before I had 3 other Angie's list recommendations come out before AHS. And I didn't like the other 3. I am so happy that I choose AHS and Dan Cox. I will use them from now on, knowing that there is a trustworthy and honest plumber out there meant the world to me. Especially when performing and doing a major job.

    A-1 Concrete
Terrific job! After initial call, they came out within a couple of days and gave us an estimate for the work. We signed right at that time for them to do the work and Steve said they would call within a couple of weeks with a service date. Within 2 weeks they called, set up a date, came at the exact time they said they would. Initially they drilled small holes in various spots along the sidewalk and then pumped in their 'limestone slurry' in small increments which raised the sidewalk. After the sidewalk was raised, the gap at the front step was gone and the uneven surface where the sidewalk met the driveway was now perfectly even. Amazing to watch as it happens, what a cool process!!! After completion, they caulked the small crack at the base of the front steps from the repair, filled the drill holes and cleaned everything up and made it look like they were never there. Steve and Susan are a great team, they did exactly as they said they would, when they would, and are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone!

    A1 Basement Waterproofing
Chris the owner was awesome!!  Called him last week to get an estimate and he came out the same day I called.  Just finished the job last week and so far so good.   Love that he gave a lifetime warranty on his work.

    CRC Concrete Raising & Repair
I scheduled a time for them to come out for an estimate, explaining it needed to be early morning as we would not be home past 10am that day.  I was told 'no problem, I will make you his first stop and he will be there between 8:30-9:30'.  So that morning it was getting to be 9:15 and no sign, no word so I called.  The woman who answered the phone didn't recognize my name from the service calls scheduled that day, so I explained the situation and that he was supposed to be there between 8:30-9:30.  She proceeded to tell me that the service man was right there with her in the office, he hadn't even left yet and when they schedule appointments they always give a 2-hour window.  I told her I did NOT get a 2-hour window when I called and she said 'that's policy'.  So I told her I was unaware of their policy and just relaying what was conveyed to me during scheduling.  She told me to hold on and when she came back on the line she said she checked the service list for the day and I was on there but 'not until sometime later in the day'.  I asked how that could be when I specifically requested early morning, and was told BY THEM I would be the first stop during the one hour window I was given FROM THEM.  When I made the initial call I even reconfirmed all of this before I hung up and she said 'no problem, he'll be there'.  Also, the phone etiquette was less than courteous during the second call, she was very abrupt and told me even if I had an appointment 'other delays do come up during the day such as problems with jobs of previously scheduled customers, weather, traffic, etc.'.  It just seemed like one excuse after another.  She asked if I wanted to reschedule, but I said 'no thanks' and looked elsewhere.

Midwest Spray Coatings A Perfect Crawlspace
They did an excellent job on the waterproofing and sump pump installation at the outset. Now I had some landscapers install plants and noticed that the sump pump was not attached! So I called them up and he stated "surely you knew that attaching it to electrical when you saw the price". Well why would I know that when I never had that done! The contract says clearly sump pump installation. I just would never thought it is not include the hook up! I think they really need to be up front about this major detail!!

    The Handy Veteran
After discussing the job it was determined that this job was not a good fit for this company. He doesn't do large area floor refinishing. Very responsive and professional.
