  • I would give them an A, they are pretty good. 

    I don't think their price is too different from anyone else. I think it is about average.

  • I have been using this provider for years. Recently there was a change of ownership. I had two cars repaired. One, my sons, did not have heat. After spending almost $500 dollars he still does not have heat. On the second car, I brought it in to have a window fixed. In four trips it was still not repaired and now it is stuck open in the winter. They are pleasant but simply do not seem to know what they are doing. I would avoid this service department at all costs.

  • Orr Autosports diagnosed and repaired a parasitic battery drain, tested the battery (which failed), and replaced it. I also had them replace a belt tensioner for about 1/2 the amount quoted by Motorwerks for the same work. Top notch service, courtesy, and professionalism.

  • As I just had another less than satisfying experience with your service department, I feel compelled to contact you. Though I live in Chicago, I have been working in Minneapolis since last May, and I have had my 2010 528i here with me. The Motorwerks service depatment has performed at least one regularly scheduled service on the car since it's been here, and that experience was fine.
    Problem #1
    A few weeks ago, I rang the service department with a question about a and quot;High Battery Drainand quot; message that was occurring, and fact that the battery was constantly dead. I did not record the person's name to whom I spoke, but he indicated that it was probably just a result of cold weather and not driving the car enough to keep the battery fully charged. After enduring another week or so of the car not starting reliably, I took it to Orr Autosports where they diagnosed and reparied a parasitic drain, tested the battery (which failed), and replaced it. I also had them replace a belt tensioner for about 1/2 the amount quoted by Motorwerks for the same work. Needless to say, I felt like I got very bad service from Motorwerks.
    Problem #2
    The car is currently due (overdue, actually) for another service interval. So, I rang the service department and spoke to someone named Stan, I think. When he said that service appointments were booked for the next two weeks, I told him that the car had to be driven to Chicago on Friday, and that I needed the service done before then. He said that he would check with a supervisor and see if they could work something out for this week. The answer came back that I was out of luck. This is the fourth BMW I have owned, and I have never even heard of service schedules being booked for two weeks. The dealers that have worked on my cars - Nalley in Atlanta, Leith in Raleigh, and Laurel in Chicago - can typically schedule something within a few days.
    All this leads to a very bad customer experience. I guess I should just count myself fortunate that I don't have to depend on Motorwerks as a dealer for the long term.
