Siding Group & Windows Group Ltd
Siding and Windows Group did an expert job at transforming our home from a cottage-like Craftsman to the Modern Farmhouse we envisioned. We asked alot of them and are very particular in our requests. From overhauling the exterior siding; to rebuilding the roof above our entry; to changing the traditional shingle roofing to metal roofing; or to removing unnecessary pillars and generally cleaning up the previous owner's style, they executed our plans flawlessly. The quality of their work is exceptional and they worked with us every step of the way to address any concerns we had or to gain our input on the best way to handle situations as they arose. Any complications were quickly addressed and their team was always very friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and will definitely be using them again!

We recently completed a home addition and remodeling project with Airoom and are so happy with the result. From start to finish, Airoom was professional and accommodating, with talented staff and contractors. The architects were easy to work with, and our construction superintendent, Craig Rohwedder, was fantastic about keeping on schedule and ensuring that all work was of a high quality. When unexpected construction issues did arise, he was an advocate for us and made sure we had full information when making decisions. We fully trusted that he had our best interests in mind. The worksite was always tidy and the project was designed so we could live through it with minimal intrusion and inconvenience. This seems to be Airoom's specialty, and it made the process much more pleasant than we expected.

The only frustrating part of the process for us was the upfront design side. We were clear about our project budget and goals from the start, but the designs initially presented were significantly over that amount and more elaborate than we requested. Designers were talented and friendly but not budget-minded, which made for a difficult start to the project. However, once we agreed on the plans and were comfortable with the budget, it was smooth sailing. Airoom built us a two-story addition (including a new kitchen and master suite) and entirely renovated the exterior of our home... the quality of construction and attention to detail are fantastic. The result is everything we wanted, and we are grateful that the process was so seamless and pleasant.

We would definitely recommend Airoom to friends, and we would use them again for future projects.

    Wilson Installations
Very well. From the time the dumpster showed up till it was picked up everything was coordinated, managed tightly and completed according to schedule. During the job a failure of the original builder to provide a quality building detail was uncovered (with no way it could have been identified without removing the old siding) and Bob immediately jumped on it, explained the options with quotes and after agreeing implemented the remediation without lengthening the schedule. Similarly one of the Windows was delivered and the supplier missed what was spec'd out and that was quickly resolved. Bob personally oversees each job. I would recommend.

We really enjoyed working with Cody.  He was good and helpful in explaining things & showed us samples.  We feel like he gave us a fair price after shopping around.  We would for sure recommend him to others.  His crew was great & a pleasure to have around.  They did a great job and when they finished everything was cleaned up so we had no work to do with that afterwards.  Highly recommend.

    Swistun Inc
This was a very large, labor intensive, and expensive project. I had the opportunity to get the job done at a considerable lesser cost from other reputable roofers.
I chose Casey Swistun of Swiston, Inc, for his expertise, knowledge, and honesty all the way through this project.

    GMART Inc
Terrific. Not only was the work done quickly, but the cost was fair and the result was terrific! While other companies were recommending replacing the siding for the entire house, Greg focused on what really needed to be done and the result was a very satisfied customer. Would definitely hire again!

    Titan Builders, Inc
We started meeting with Titan to create our "wish list". They helped us to decide which projects should be first on the list and also help guide us where to it was necessary to spend money and where it was not necessary to spend.  We really appreciated  the guidance.
The Titan Team was thoughtful and respectful while working on our home.

    Cedar Roofing Co LLC
This past winter we had ice damming and water started coming in.  We incurred $40,000 in damages to the interior of our home.  I was told by the roofer we called to correct the problem that our roof had not been installed properly because they failed to tuck the ice and water shield under the fascia.  I called Cedar Roofing to ask if they would correct the problem.  I spoke to the owner.  He told me that my 2 year warranty expired in 2013 and that ice dams were not his problem.  I tried to explain to him that the ice damming was not his fault but the water infiltration was a direct result of their faulty installation of the ice and water shield.  He hung up on me in mid-sentence saying he was very busy and had to get going.  If you hire this company, once they complete the job, you are on your own.  They do not stand by their work.  In addition, they use subcontractors and do not have uniform standards for installation.  The owner does not monitor quality of work.  Other reputable roofers have advised me to replace my roof even though it is only 3 years old.

John and team are a delight to work with - professional, efficient, talented. I will trust them with my home in the future. Our home was transformed at the hands of his team and I can honestly say we are pleased beyond measure.

    Nu-Concepts Window & Siding Co
Unfortunately, what started out as a reasonable experience tuned out very poorly...for us.
We ordered a new door, including the surrounding molding, for a small office in the northern suburbs from Nu-Concepts Windows. They were local and the owner came out personally to provide counsel and quote the job. At that point it was noted that new carpeting would be installed and that the return hinge would need to be replaced.
The ordering process went as expected, however, the installation has proven to be a comedy of (incompetent) errors. In spite of precise measurements taken for new the height of new carpeting the door was cut too low ("not to worry, we will come out and cut the door down when the carpet is installed"). In spite of acknowledging the existing door hinge return would be inadequate, the old (and too weak) return hinge was BOLTED into the door ...and the door would not close automatically as it was designed to ("not to worry, we can find a new door return hinge and replace the old one"). The hinge was replaced, but of course necessitated that we have the painter return and stain the door where the old bolts (i.e, extraneous holes in the new door) were.
Unfortunately, even with the new return the door would not close. At this point it was recommended that we put soap on the door clasp so the door would slide closed every time someone entered or exited the office. So $2,500 and 2 months later we are told that for our door to work properly we need to place liquid soap on the clasping mechanism. The final straw was our request to fix the door given the height of the carpet. The owner no longer wants anything to do with our project (can't really blame him...neither do we) and his installer stopped by and said ("I know nothing about cutting the door down to fit the new carpet ... maybe you should call the owner"). The owner refuses to come by to remedy the unfinished job.
Bottom line ...we ordered a new (solid wood) office door which was installed improperly ...and two moths later is still somewhat dysfunctional ...I recommend avoiding Nu-Concepts.
