Perfectly. He called back to make an appointment promptly, showed up right on time, changed and adjusted the locks, commented on their quality and made security suggestions. Also took the time to change the programming on a garage keypad. Exemplary service!

we moved to our New home and Danny was highly recommended by our new neighbors. Danny came on time and was very knowledgeable he explained everything through and was very patient with us. Very nice guy and professional He worked very clean quick and organized. With all the expenses of buying a new home he was very understanding of our budget and charged us a fair price I would definitely use him again and will recommend him to anyone who is looking for a Lucksmith in the area. Thank you Danny!!!

    Windy City Lock & Key
I found Windy City Lock and Key on Porch. They put up with all of our questions. Dan was on time to set up our Schlage Keypad Lock and rekeyed it. He made sure it was leveled and did a good job. Their price was the cheapest we found.

It could not have gone better. After reading reviews for Tom, I called and made an appointment. he was available the next day, texted me that he was on the way, and arrived early for our appointment. It took only a few moments for me to realize why he is A rated. His respect for my home was instantly noticeable, from removing his shoes to putting down paper towels while he worked. He insisted on taking the dirty paper towels instead of throwing them away. He repaired the balky lock, shared some tips with me to help keep it working well, then checked and lubed 2 other locks while he was here. If there was a way to rate someone A+++, that is how I would rate Tom and his service.

Tom performed the job I called for, and he found several other lock/door issues and fixed those as well on the spot. He is EXTREMELY knowledgable and the price was very fair for the work he performed. .

Tom scheduled an appointed with me within less than 48 hours given the urgency associated with not being able to lock my front door.  Tom arrived promptly and was very courtesy. Tom is a great communicator. Her explained to me exactly what he was going to explore and the various possibilities.  He also provided me with broader insight regarding our problem beyond the door. Specifically, he advised me that my door alignment was off and the weather strip needed to be replaced. He replaced my knobs and spindle and got my door lock operating like brand new. We are finally able to lock and unlock our door with ease and less stress. We should have called Tom a long time ago. There are many locksmiths out there.  Don't waste your time and money.  I highly recommend Tom as he is genuine and truly knows how to fix locks with one shot!

We called Tom because we were having trouble locking our front door.  He came out the same day and fixed the striker plate so that the lock would work, and did similar work on another door that was also difficult to lock.  At our request, he gave us an estimate for replacing our locks.  He saved us money on the second job by not charging a second service charge, and by telling us to buy knobs and locks on our own rather than have him supply them.    He installed the new knobs and locks and they are currently working well.

.We called a local locksmith who told us it would take an hour to come out. I found this company on Angie's List and called him up. He came within 30 minutes and charged us half the price the other company wanted to charge us. He took care of the issue promptly and professionally.

    amazing locksmith chicago IL
On Dec 15 I  called several locksmiths near my home to get 5 locks changed ASAP.  I settled on Locksmen from Wilmette.

Locksmen of Wilmette sent out a technician within a few hours. He was very polite, very young, and stayed for several hours to do the work. But some of the locks didn't work well,  and one on the garage didn't work at all. But it was very late by then (around midnight), and I told him I had to get up at 5 am.  He left, and I figured I would call the company back during the day to work out the issues.

Several days later I went to Ace Hardware to have copies made of the keys he gave me, for the locks that worked.   Ace tried 6 different attempts, but the copies wouldn't work properly in some locks, and  not at all in other matching doors.  I then brought the original keys Locks Men had given me to Keyth locksmith (a real local bricks and mortar locksmith) and asked them to try to make me copies. I figured their machinery would be more precise. They immediately told me the keys I was given were cheap keys, not Schlaege keys, and that was probably why Ace couldn't make good copies.

Keyth Locksmith tried 6 times to make copies of the keys and some worked after much fiddling with them in the lock, but most didn't work at all. They suggested I go back to company who did the original lock work and ask for better keys. They also offered to refund my money for the keys they tried to copy.

I looked back at my original receipt to find out the name and telephone number I called originally. The receipt had no company info on it, except for a handwritten word  Lock men. But my credit card showed the job was billed by Locks Men in  Minneapolis, MN. I Googled and called them. The man on the phone had a very heavy accent and told me it was not his problem that I had gotten the keys copied by poor quality workers. I explained I had 12 different trial keys, none of which worked properly.   He said it wasn't his problem - I said it was because I put a block on my credit card and he wouldn't get  paid until my locks worked properly.  I asked for the name and phone number of the technician who did the original work so he could come out and fix the work.

He wouldn't give it to me. He was very rude, told me he knew who I was, and the technician would call later that day. I asked him what phone number they had for me, and he said I'm way ahead of you, I have all your  info,  and then proceded to read me my cell phone back, which was wrong!

No one called for about an hour, so I immediately called my credit card and put a dispute on it,  since my credit card payment was going through that day.

Awhile later someone called and said he had done my work and he would come out to fix it.  He had a very heavy accent, told me he was Polish and then Russian. I said he definitely did not do the work since the original technician had no accent. He kept insisting he HAD done the work. By now I was worried about my security because this was all too fishy. I told him he couldn't come to my house, since he was NOT the original technician. He said he would try to find out who it was.

I then found the original number I had called back on Dec 15 to schedule the original work. I called Lockmen in Wilmette at (847) 515-5040 to try to straighten out this mess. But the guy who answered the phone sounded like the original guy I spoke with in Minneapolis. I asked him where he was located, and was he in Wilmette or Minneapolis. He told me it was"none of my business, he could be on vacation, it didn't matter where he was, he was answering the company line"  !!!!

By this point I figured I had been totally scammed and was scared that they might have extra keys to my house.  I wasgetting ready to call a local locksmith and have the house locks redone on an emergency (and expensive) status.

Then I got a call from someone else who kept asking me who the technician was. I said I didn't remember, that he didn't put his name or phone number on the receipt, and what the h*** was going on, since this new guy's number showed up as an Indiana tel number.  He explained it was his cell phone number,he had moved into the area, and he was local.

Finally, he came out this morning, agreed he hadn't done the work, but he fixed all my locks in about an hour. He was great, professional, knew what he was doing.

I told him what had been happening over the last 2 days and he seemed surprised, and said he would try to find out what happened.

The only thing remaining is that now I still have to try to get copies of the new keys he gave me today. He said they would work better. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!!

I would never again go to a locksmith, unless they have a building and a presence in my town.  It seems a lot of these companies give themselves a local town name but are really based out of who-knows-where.

Not a fun experience when you are already worried about your security during a contentious divorce.

I arranged to have my home's 50 year old locks replaced. I also asked them to replace a bedroom door lock and knob that were broken. The young woman in the office was polite and efficient in taking my order. She gave me a complete accurate price in advance, and was able to schedule the work to be done at my convenience. The locksmith showed up on time as scheduled. He was friendly and competent. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time and explained what he was doing. I was very pleased with the work and would definitely call them again if I need locksmith services.
