    Envy Home Services, Inc.
They were very responsive from the beginning. The quality of their work is great, the service is also great. The sales team was very knowledgable, the project manager very responsive and professional, and their crew was excellent over all. Price wise they were not the lowest, but the value is there. I recommend them 100%.

    Quality Residential Electric Inc
Best experience I can imagine. Arrived exactly on time with friendly team, built scaffolding and completed work adding several upgrades they suggested without additional charge. Chris provided helpful purchase advice before getting the assignment. Very careful and let area spotless.

The Basement Men & The Concrete Man
We had a great experience with the basement men. Steve was very communicative and the crews were wonderful. It was a big project with a lot of unexpected issues, and they still managed to finish a few weeks early and go only a smidge overbudget. A summary of work: -Repitch and pour new sidewalk to prevent water damage -Repair small crack in concrete foundation -Basement finishing (electrical, framing, insulation, drywall, 7 new windows, etc) -Partial rebuild of stairs -Creation of hybrid kitchenette/laundry room -(Unexpected) bathroom remodel -Vinyl plank flooring installation -Install two metal sliding doors -Paint ceiling We would definitely use them again. The one thing I would note is that I sourced most of the finishes (floor, tile, cabinets, countertop, etc), which I would recommend if you have the time. Some of the suggestions TBM provided ended up being pricier and, in my opinion, slightly more basic looking. But Steve was super helpful answering my questions so I could find what I wanted and had no problem installing what I purchased. I've included some pictures. Note that several were taken before the project was fully completed.

The Basement Men & The Concrete Man
Everything was timely and on budget, carpenter, electrician, and plumbers were respectful and responsive to our needs (for example parking in driveway not on street). They found inconsistencies in previous construction and corrected them without delays or drama. Great experience, planning another renovation upstairs now:)

    DESIGNfirst Builders LLC
The project went very well. It took longer than was estimated, but my wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the folks that did the work. We used DesignFirst a few years ago for a basement remodel and were happy with that project as well. They are certainly not the cheapest, but I would say that they are committed to having happy and satisfied customers.

    Clar Electric Inc
Jamie and his team did a great job from specifying the work, completing the work, and following up with the city inspector. His team was nice enough to install a motion sensor switch for free and add a new electrical socket in our exercise room for a minimal charge. I highly recommend and we'll certainly call Jamie for future electrical work!

The Basement Men & The Concrete Man
We hired the basement men after noticing water in our basement. We have older children moving back and needed the basement updated. The Basement Men first filled cracks that were causing the water and then moved onto refinishing. We gutted and updated the existing bathroom and added a bedroom and egress window. They did an excellent job, they were reliable, steve communicated with us throughout the process, assisted us in buying fixtures, flooring, tile, etc. Steves men were clean and very courteous. We now have a dry and new beautiful space for our children to stay.

    A Dependable Electrician
PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING THIS CONTRACTOR, LONG REVIEW. My husband and I are very respectful towards anyone whom we deal with, and, in fact, I am in a service profession and am especially mindful of how we treat others. That said, there was NEVER an argument or strong words exchanged with Mr. Krol at any time. As part of our project to dry out and concrete our crawl space, we needed an outlet/electrical line installed to run a sump pump. After his thorough walk through (for which we agreed to pay him $50), we were impressed with Mr. Krol's knowledge and seeming professionalism. He mentioned that he would use his teenage son as an assistant, and we had no problem with that seeing as Mr. Krol himself seemed competent . In fact, Mr. Krol indicated that this would help keep costs down (which ended up not to be the case). As far as a permit, it was mentioned, but he never required us to obtain one and did the work without one. We never refused to get one, nor discussed it at any length. On the day of the work, Mr. Krol and son arrived at 11:30am, a half hour later than the agreed 11am start time. No problem. After the job, when presented with the bill, there was a line item for a half hour charge for 'procuring parts'. My husband calmly asked about this. Mr. Krol replied that they were actually out getting parts from 11-11:30. So he's charging us an electrician's hourly rate of $84 per hour to go to Home Depot. Well, in light of the fact that the total bill was $1117, my husband did not argue with him, we LET IT GO and we paid the bill in FULL without complaint or further discussion. After the job, we could not go in and inspect the outlet that was installed because the crawl space was very wet. Fast forward to a few weeks later when the crawl space is finished. My husband tried plugging in a shop vac and noticed that the outlet cover is not flush with the outlet, causing the outlet to be recessed too far for a plug to make a connection with the electricity. The sump plug appears to be staying in ok, but we were concerned because the outlet was not exactly correct and we had paid $1117 for the job. My husband texted and called Mr. Krol and heard nothing for a few days. My husband finally emailed, appropriately and calmly questioning the outlet and asking Mr. Krol to come by and take a look (after all it's under his 10 year warranty) and we received the following, shocking, unprofessional and insulting email in return: Your number is blocked on my mobile phone. You questioned the time billed for procuring parts and you seemed to question the necessity of an insured labor assistant on your larger job. These appeared to me as doubts of my professional integrity and I pass on clients who present a lack of respect. I do quality work with excellent customer satisfaction at a competitive price. I know what other licensed electricians charge and what they charge for labor assistants. I don't take every call comes in. I provide my unique special service to those who appreciate it since other contractors don't offer what I do. Your job required permit and I risked losing my professional license to serve you but I just didn't feel the love back. In the future, I humbly request you find a different electrical contracting provider. My husband and I are completely insulted, offended and angry that not only did we get a response like this after never having argued with this man, but that he is not making good on following through with his work. My husband kept his cool in the interest of getting the issue resolved, and emailed back multiple times for Mr. Krol to come by and fix the issue, but received no further response. We ended up having to fix the problem through other means. I guess even after you pay this man $1117 for a job, he can decide he doesn't want to be your electrician anymore, even to perform warranty work. Use him at your own risk, lest he doesn't "feel the love" when dealing with you.

    Robert Electrical Services
Strongest possible recommendation. Probably the best electrician I've had contact with in the last 60 years. On time for every appointment, kept every appointment, responded quickly, concisely, accurately to our questions. Did not try to sell useless stuff or what he had "in stock", excellent matching of my needs with what was available. Did not try to sell a "package" that provided greatest profit for him. Used high quality materials and equipment for the installation. No hemming and hawing regarding whether he could do the work or not, or if he had the time to do it. Came promptly for estimates, in a relatively remote area. Pricing was excellent. Very neat, perfect cleanup afterwards. No "unavoidable" or collateral damage to property.

Ok except not all the garage lights are working. I did show where they were but he claimed I didn't show him lights up front. I know I did because I knew they could be missed. Good guy and did good work but disappointed he didn't come back to fix the other garage lights since he was in and and quick from our place in the first place.
