    Georgetown Decks & Construction Inc
After dealing with another company for a year, I sought out a new company to get the work done. I explained to Corey of Georgetown decks where/why the project got stuck (need for a special permit) and Corey said, no problem . When the city had all of my paperwork messed up, Corey said, no problem . When the city called and said I needed x, y, and z, Corey said, no problem. Ive already taken care of all of those things and will speak with the city. What I am trying to say is that Corey took care of everything and did so swiftly. I didnt have to worry about a thing. The workmanship was high quality and the product was exactly what I was looking for. I couldnt be happier with my deck and cant recommend Corey and his team at Georgetown decks enough. My new deck is one of my favorite things about my house now.

Siding Group & Windows Group Ltd
Siding and Windows Group did an expert job at transforming our home from a cottage-like Craftsman to the Modern Farmhouse we envisioned. We asked alot of them and are very particular in our requests. From overhauling the exterior siding; to rebuilding the roof above our entry; to changing the traditional shingle roofing to metal roofing; or to removing unnecessary pillars and generally cleaning up the previous owner's style, they executed our plans flawlessly. The quality of their work is exceptional and they worked with us every step of the way to address any concerns we had or to gain our input on the best way to handle situations as they arose. Any complications were quickly addressed and their team was always very friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and will definitely be using them again!

    Woodridge Deck & Gazebo Co.
We needed to replace an iron porch railing. We asked for wood. They told us since the porch is concrete, they would need to use aluminum. They never even visited the site. They had me send measurements and they provided a bid for a product I was not familiar with. The price was double what others have bid.

The Basement Men & The Concrete Man
I found working with Steve went professionally and smoothly. He was always in contact and responsive. My goal was to completely refresh my kitchen and bathrooms by updating rather than completely remodeling....with Steve's insight and advice, I was able to accomplish that. I'd say he went beyond the call of duty in his support and counsel in making sure the project went according to plan. I only have the highest accolades for the person Steve assigned to my projects. He is an excellent craftsman and takes great pride in his workmanship.

    R & R Window Repair and Renovations
I called R&R in August to provide a quote on the window replacement. We agreed on a day and time and Rory came about 20 minutes late. However, he called and said he would be at my house within next 20 minutes. He looked over the problem window, took his measurements, answered my question. He took some time to calculate his quote which he said would be followed up in a few days with the quote in writing. The verbal quote was quite reasonable compared to a few others I had received, and I agreed to accept it. Rory advised that it would take 2-3 weeks before it could a new window could be installed primarily because it would have to be ordered. I said that I was in no hurry as long as the new window was in before the cold weather in November arrived. A few days later the written quote came as an email attachment with a requirement for a 50% deposit. Within a week I spoke with Rory's associate to agree a date for the actual work which would be about two weeks from then. Early on the appointed morning I received a call from the office saying that the window had not arrived, and the work could not be completed that day. I appreciated the call and we agreed on a new date and time one week later when the window would be in hand. That date was met and about 40 minutes prior to the agreed time Rory called to say a workman would arrive about 20 minutes later to begin the window remove and that he would follow about 30 minutes after that with the new window. The removal, installation, and clean up took roughly 90 minutes. The new window fits snugly, opens easily, shuts completely, and the finishing work around the window looks very nicely done. I am quite happy with the results. Rory and his associates were professional, friendly, and kept me informed when things were off schedule. Should the need arise I would not hesitate to use R&R again. A final note: During the time from my first contact with the company to the completion of the work, the company changed its name to Igzakt from R&R. Obviously this has not been noted yet on the Angie's List web site.

    #1 Paint Doctor Inc.
Roc is THE RocStar (sic). He definitely knows his way around the painting business. His pricing is fair, his quality is beyond reproach and trust me my wife is extremely hard to work with. His attention to detail is spot on, example being the way he removed all the screens and cleaned each one before he reinstalled them. Adds little things to the job at no price increase and is meticulous and detailed while maintaining a clean and organized work space.

    He's the real deal

    Swistun Inc
I was highly satisfied with Swistun's work.  The only negative was the price, which was considerable.  However, the much less
expensive roofing work my husband and I had contracted for about 9 years earlier obviously contributed to the water damage problems that ensued (note:  the costs of that earlier re-roof cannot really be compared to Swistun's much more comprehensive job, as that earlier work did not entail tear-off of old insulation, any repairs to the roof deck or any gutter work). . . .  .Thus the realization that "budget roofers" do not necessarily save money in the long run, since the consequences of poor workmanship must eventually "cost" the homeowner.
Casey Swistun is most amiable, as well as knowledgeable.   He definitely takes his job seriously and brings all his considerable skills/energy to bear on each project he accepts.  While other contractors disdain homeowners' questions, Casey seems to enjoy explaining his recommendations and welcomes inquiries which allow him to enthusiastically go into all the nitty gritty.  He also is unusual in the amount of detail he was willing to include in his contract - a good thing.  Casey, unlike many contractors, actually created and processed the change orders called for in the contract. Upon completion/payment, he provided lien waivers.  As promised, he furnished paperwork for all the included manufacturer warrantees (roof, gutters, skylight).
Though only time will tell if the roof installed by Swistun will hold up -  so far, so good.  The workmanship certainly appears superior; I am assuming it will prove long-lasting.
In short, I would definitely recommend Swistun, Inc. for roofing work, especially if the job in question requires any complicated engineering or problem-solving.

    Georgetown Decks & Construction Inc

Georgetown was great!  They were all that you could ask for.  They said what they would do, and they did it.  It's that simple.

They came out and provided a detailed quote for the job.  The workers did a fabulous job.  Their attention to detail and concern for quality was impressive.

    GR General Contracting
He is not doing the work that I purchased. It is inflicting emotional trauma on us and he’s taken away the use of our deck. This has been going on for weeks. He won’t show up for scheduled appointments and then some guy inevitably shows up with no warning. I just spoke with him this morning and he accused me of misrepresenting the amount of work that needed to be done, which is untrue. This work needs to be completed.

    Countryside Plumbing Sewer & Septic
Very well. He gave us the best estimate of 3 companies. Appeared for work when he said he was going to and finished the job with no interruptions, even working in the rain. Result: a beautiful new deck. Jordan Johnson, owner, is highly responsible and an excellent carpenter. I would certainly hire him again.
