Mudjacking reviews in Highland Park

    CRC Concrete Raising & Repair
When the issue of the concrete not being raised was brought
up to the co-owner, Paul,(while he was still onsite) he stated that nothing
else could be done because the concrete slab was too heavy. He seemed
frustrated that we expressed any concern with the project. The discussion
turned argumentative and contentious with Paul indicating that this was our
fault for not identifying these issues before. He stated that he did not have
"x-ray" vision in terms of knowing the thickness of the concrete, but
that we, as homeowners, should know how thick our concrete is. He also
indicated that if we didn't pay that we could have a lien put against our house
and that attorneys would get involved.  Paul then indicated that they observed how
thick the concrete was upon using their first drill piece. We asked if CRC
normally alerts customers during the middle of a project if there is an issue
so a decision can be made on how to proceed. Paul said that he has done that
before, but he didn't do that with us. Had this step taken place, a more
reasonable resolution could have been determined.
Before leaving Paul told us to "keep the check"
that we had written out and handed to him, indicated that he would speak with
"Patty" and that "it will get worked out." On 11/30/15 my
husband contacted CRC and spoke with Patty. At no point during the
conversation, which was even more contentious and combative than the discussion
with Paul, was there any attempt at resolution. He was repeatedly told that it
was our fault and that CRC doesn't have "x-ray" vision for these
types of jobs. Patty stated that CRC was brought out to support the concrete
underneath. My husband stated that our contract called for the concrete to be
raised, that we were home the entire time and this could have been resolved or
a more informed decision could have been made. Patty indicated that CRC has no
liability or responsibility to repair any of the damage they had caused to our
basement wall (or anything else) or to fulfill the expectations of the concrete
being raised. My husband and CRC ended a very unproductive 15-20 minute conversation
with no offers of resolution and he was told again that their attorney would
    get involved.
Over the years we've had a great deal of remodeling and improvements done to our home. We've worked with every type of professional; painters, plumbers, electricians, general contractors, you name it.  I've never had an experience with such an unprofessional and flat out rude company. After our experience and reading so many similarly horrible reviews (and rebuttals from the company that place the blame on the customer) on numerous websites, it's a wonder this place is still in business. Please do not use this company.

Mark came out to submit a quote within a day, and he promptly called to clarify the quote and offer to return to assess another area that was also sinking.  He wanted to give an appropriate quote, so he drilled a couple of holes, that were not obvious, to determine the integrity of the support structure under the walk.  He gave me the "good news" that there was enough support below the cement and that the repair would be successful.  He also reiterated the possibility of the one, small, cracked area, further cracking and necessitating replacement.  He was prompt, friendly, and honest in his assessment.  I never felt pressured.
That evening, the office called and said they had a cancellation and could do the job the next day.  I agreed.  The man in charge of the actual work was Jack--really!  The mud-jacker was Jack.  He was very nice, on time and performed an amazing job.  The questionable cracked area did not crack, and the walk looks wonderful.  You can hardly notice the few holes they drilled, and Jack filled each hole with pebbles to replicate the existing aggregate. Great job, reliable and good price.

Everything went very well. Mike and Martin came out several times to make sure they had everything perfectly prepared before the work began. They were prompt with the proposal, scheduling and the work, and the job. They are structural experts that put an emphasis on the details and keeping the homeowner well informed. I feel like if I had used anyone else to do the work I would have been shortcutting. Probably the most satisfied I?ve felt about any home repair I?ve contracted for so far.

I had a very positive experience. Paul came out and gave us a good estimate and also he explained to me the process and what they are able to do . They were able to accommodate my schedule requirements, the crew came out when they said, did the job and cleaned after themselves. The crew supervisor was very professional and informed every step of the way what they were doing.

Mark quickly came out and gave us a thorough explanation of the work required and an estimate. After talking to Mark again the next day with more questions, we felt very confident with Mark and decided to hire his company for the project. The work began on time as scheduled and ended sooner than we expected. We are very satisfied with the result. Mark, raised the floor to the original level, everything was handled very professionally, start to finish.

Mark came out the day after I called, very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was scheduled 10 days out, but they came out 2 days after Mark's quote and finished the job. Looks great.
