I appreciated Rafal's professionalism from the start. I had called him to quote on a two bathroom remodel job which had complications from the age of the home. I ended up hiring him to remove all the galvanized supply lines in the house since we had some walls open. From the beginning, he was on time for all appointments. He responded to texts and calls very quickly and answered any questions I had. The quote had a good level of detail and it was reassuring that he was already licensed in the town where the job was. Rafal understood that we were looking to close walls asap so he slipped our job into his schedule of larger jobs. So from my initial phone call to completion it wasn't very long. Work looks very neat and I was happy that he was able to explain some changes in plumbing codes. He also wanted to be around for the inspection which shows ownership and pride of work. The job was more than I had budgeted but I was only looking for rough-in work at the start and didn't anticipate having to remove all the original piping in the 1960's house. Now that its gone, we will have better flow and I don't have to worry about new valves. His quote was about comparable to others and I had one which was even higher. Definitely would hire Rafal again as his professionalism made it easier for me to manage our project.

The wall build went well as a previous review that I made reflects. The wall (a little less than a year later) looks and functions well. The reason for this follow-up poor review is that the lawn repair was far from adequate for the price paid. An erosion blanket with seed that was placed on the back of the lot, never had seed under it, and I had to seed it and redo that this spring. (done myself and came out great). The repair (supposedly to pre-work condition) of the lawn where machinery had been driven during construction was subpar at best leaving high and low spots. They came out to fix just this week, and damaged a downspout drain that I had fixed after they left it damaged after their first repair. There were two other downspout drains that they did in the initial job that are an eyesore that I will have to redo myself as well. So that leaves three downspout repairs and significant landscaping repairs after a job that ran 10% over the estimate. They did offer discounts on "future" services and to come repair the downspout drain, but why would I want something else to go wrong when they come back. Cut my losses and choose not to use again. Top dollar does not always mean top quality. They are respectful and polite, but that does not make a job look nice.

I've had many plumbers try to fix my sink and every time it went right back to the same issue. Called USA and they sent a plumber immediately. Haven't had a plumber so kind and respectful and knew exactly what the problem was. After the work was done he cleaned everything up. I didn't have to worry about one spot missed. Definitely highly recommend this company if you are looking for professional work.

Old State Mechanical took care of a plumbing problem I had and I was very satisfied. Rafal came out, provided an estimate. Then soon after came back and did the job. He was very professional, reliable, and cost effective. Will definitely call them back for future needs and refer them to neighbors

My sewer backup up in my house on a Sunday afternoon (laundry overwhelmed the system) I had used Trojan Plumbing for another repair about a month earlier.   They had suggested then to always check angie's list for their coupons.  SO when this water backed up, I checked Angies and yes they had a coupon for sewer clean out for $250  I purchased right away and put in the comments how my sewer had just backed up and that we were in a no-water drainage situation at the house.  I was hoping to hear from them on Monday.  But not a few hours later, Jason called me directly (from a family event no less) and scheduled my service for the following 7am!    I had thought he might have been going out of his way for a returning customer, but no, it took him a minute to remember us - after offering to come so early the next morning.  I guess they treat all their new and existing customers the same way - with excellence!  I was so relieved they came on time, quickly fixed the problem, offered some suggestions to make sure it wouldn't happen again too.  Great Job guys!  Thanks

Jason came back as agreed and performed the test on the pipes.  He shut off the gas and did an air test.  All in all he found 2 teaks not 10 fixed them within the two hour time line and there was no charge for any supplies because he didn't need any to fix the problem.  Jason assured me the house leaks are taken care of and he attests to 2 leaks which will help to validate the repair of the gas leaks which I will need for the closing.  Jason was prompt professional and knowledgable.  The cost was reasonable and the service was excellent.

The came when they said they would and removed my old humidifier and installed the new one. They changed the water supply from the old one to the new one and did a real professional job . I have had a furnace, AC and a water heater installed by this company and have always been happy with their work. Richard and Cristian did the humidifier and they did an outstanding job. I am still very happy with the service employees of this company. I would recommend this company to anyone.

This was a HUGE project, and Bill and his team did an amazing job. From the incredibly innovative design, to the installation of every last outlet cover - - their team worked swiftly and cleanly to get everything done to MY perfection!
We began with comparing several kitchen contractors to get very rough estimates, struck out the highest and lowest priced ones, and then worked with 3 remaining groups. Express not only offered a very competitive price, but they offered so much more detail than anyone else was willing to provide. We talked thru a few solutions to making our kitchen better, and then they came back with THE MOST AMAZING ideas to solve our space issues. There were so many details I hadn't thought of that Bill helped us with. The price was well under several other contractors, and we were assured the materials would be much better than "contractor grade". Bill and his team were really personable, down-to-earth professionals, so, based on the designs, costs, and our "gut" - we decided to go with them.  Also, I really appreciated that Bill was familiar with our area, and knew about the general market value of our house. He wasn't going to sell us a designer kitchen that we wouldn't be able to recoup our costs on - should we ever decide to sell.
Anyhow, demolition began, and the crew let my 7 & 9 yr old sons "help" - - they were very patient with the boys, and saw what JOY this brought to their eyes, so let them help tear down a wall. Everything was taken out and most of our 3 rooms (kitchen, dining room & front room) was down to bare studs. During renovation, the crew discovered we had some big electrical problems hidden up in the attic, and they spent several days (and even pulled roof down) to repair them - at no extra cost to us. It was such a relief to know that the contract price was THE PRICE. There were no extras, no hidden fees, no surcharges - - nothing. They came and worked and worked and worked, and fixed "non-contracted" problems along the way.
I was really thankful that Bill's crew were all Express employees -- there weren't "strangers" in our house - - everyone he sent there worked under his company, so there was always reliable experts available for all of my questions.
There's so much more I could talk about, like how they fixed other plumbing problems while they were there, and how I made them sit at the island with my kids and have lunch... but the most amazing thing I want to pass on is the END RESULT. I cannot believe how amazing our kitchen is. I have people tell me EVERY TIME THEY COME OVER that my kitchen looks like a model kitchen, and that it should be featured in magazines. It is exactly what I wanted and more. It is so insanely functional, I can have a kid doing dishes while I cook and my husband helps with homework at the island. I couldn't have come up with this amazing design on my own and the details are PERFECT for our family. From the double ovens, prep sink, homework organizer, hidden microwave, beautifully matched hardwood floors - - everything here is amazing. I can't wait to show you the pictures! Ha!
As far as details like cleanliness and completion time - all was great. I mean, there was constant drywall dust everywhere, but we remodeled all the main rooms at once - so that was unavoidable. They vacuumed, dusted, and were always careful about cleaning up their tools and debris all along the way, as I had 3 small boys constantly trying to see what was going on.  We were given a 6 week estimate and they stuck tightly to that timeframe - - in fact, our kitchen was "useable" much sooner than that... thank goodness!
So... to make a short story long - I would highly recommend Express. In fact, it's been 2 years, and we just signed another contract to put a master bath in our bedroom - and we didn't even get other quotes this time. We were THAT happy with the outcome of our kitchen. We feel like Bill and his crew will do a great job, won't cheat us or cut corners, and provide a quality room that will be enjoyed for years to come!

Serviceman was punctual and professional.  Took about 1.5 to complete all the work.  They provided replacement garbage disposal.  However,  disposal was replaced with one of lesser quality without prior approval.  I thought the total bill was a bit high for the amount of work  done and disposal replacement. Followed up with a call to inquire about the price and receive an itemized invoice for the service.  Was told they get right back to me.  Never did.  Work was fine, but pricey.   Should of got a written estimate prior to the work being completed. Wouldn't use them again.

Our main water shutoff is in our attached garage (not good when outdoor temps reach arctic levels). The garage is not heated and the pipes are not insulated. The mistake I made was not leaving a faucet on at a slight trickle; if I had, this wouldn't have happened. This morning I heard what sounded like a hissing sound in the garage. There was water squirting out through one area of pipe that I could see and covered a large part of the garage floor and some of it had turned to ice. So, it probably burst during the night. I called RJ Graham this morning and was told someone would be out within a hour. The plumber arrived within that time and began working immediately. He located two areas of broken copper pipe - both were 90 degree elbows - and replaced them with new copper pipe. He completed the job quickly and was very professional. He gave me the old piping to show where the damage occurred. I hope we do not have to experience such a deep freeze as we did this week but if it does happen, I'll make sure to leave a faucet running slightly to avoid this problem.
I want to note that two days ago, we woke up to no running water which means the pipes froze. I shut off the water at the main and used a hair dryer to heat up the pipes in garage near the main shutoff. After a few minutes, I turned on a faucet and we had running water again. I thought we were in the clear but the damage was probably done already when I neglected to leave a faucet trickling. RJ Graham responded immediately and I would definitely used them again.
