    West Suburban Limousine
This was one of the worse limo rental experience I've had. There were 3 adults and 3 children who rented one of their limos to take us from Soldier Field to the suburbs after a concert. The lady taking the reservations was super sweet, helpful and informative and about the only redeeming quality about this concert. We were told the driver would text us before the concert/afternoon with his license plate info and confirm time/place for pickup. It was mid way through the concert and I realized we never heard from the driver. I called dispatch and they told me the driver should have texted us but because he was unavailable to text at the moment, the dispatcher would text us the info. I confirmed my cell number with dispatcher. We never received an text from dispatch. When the concert was over, I called dispatch again because I had no idea how to find the limo driver. There was a different dispatcher who answered. He was very rude, told me he can't control the dispatcher 's action before him and there wasn't much he could do except try to call the driver. Finally, after 15 more minutes, the dispatcher texts me the driver's cell number. Of course the company doesn't rush getting any pick up info to us, but if we were late at pick up, they would have charged us $10/15 min increment!! I called the driver. He wasn't at the location yet and because he was driving he obviously couldn't text me his license plate info. Finally he arrived to the pick up location and texted us his license plate info then proceeded to call us 4 times to make sure we were on our way! We didn't leave the concert venue until we got his license plate/location as it was cold outside and we didn't want to walk in the wrong direction. Once in the limo, we noticed it was very dirty. There were no complimentary bottles of water or drinks, like I've experienced in limos in the past. In fact, all but 2 glasses were missing or dirty, and the cooler area where drinks are usually displayed contained dirty water and garbage floating around...obviously from the reservation before us (see picture). We were excited to listen to music from the concert in the limo on the way home. It was part of the experience the little girls were looking forward to doing. We could not figure out how to hook up the iphone to the limo's speakers. I consider myself to be very technical, but I couldn't figure it out. No input selection would work and all we received was feedback. When I asked the driver for help, he just said "turn the little volume knob, eventually everyone figures it out. He also started shouting for me to push buttons that weren't even found on the menu. After 30 minutes of trying to figure it out, I told him I was frustrated and asked if he could pull over to help out. He never did. This was supposed to be a fun experience for moms & daughters but instead it was a frustrating event and I spent more than half the time dealing with the sound system instead of spending time with my daughter. Overall I found the company rude and entitled. I will never recommend them to any friends . Awful service.

    American Coach Limousine
Pick up time was fine.  Driver was uncommunicative.  May not have spoken or understood english.  Driver constantly drove above the speed limit on all roads.  This means we were going over 90 mph on expressway.  Lots of lane changing on all roads.  I felt very unsafe.  I wrote to company after trip and complained about the driver.  I never heard anything back.  I will not use them again.  I do not want to put my life in some crazy drivers hands.

Captain Rods Boat Lifts and Piers
While Rod did the welding himself, he let his team install
the Veranda in his absence. It turned out to be a mess. There were several
problems, including a bizarre staircase configuration that connects the lower
dock to the upper dock. But the biggest problem was that each board, both on
the upper dock and lower dock, was a different length. On the upper dock, the
longest board was actually 1 and ½ inch longer than the shortest. And the lower
dock had a sag in the middle. Everything looked quite unprofessional. Rod was out
of town so I sent him a text with pictures. Upon his return, he stopped by and
to his credit he promptly apologized and agreed that everything was not what it
should be. So he sent his team back to rebuilt the staircase and both docks so
that the boards are comparable in length (not perfect but close enough) and so that
neither dock sags. When everything was finished, I thanked Rod for fixing the
mess and asked him if it was possible to install lights to the posts on the
lower dock. He told me about a solar light manufactured by a company called Lake
Lite. After searching the Web, I told Rod to install one light to each post. As
before, he was not present when the work was preformed. That was in the fall
and it now is spring. Unfortunately, the batteries and solar units did not
survive the cold and are failing one by one. I called Rod and he was
disinterested in returning to our home, incredibly telling me that I am
impossible to please. Not knowing where to turn, I contacted Lake Lite directly.
They told me that the lights are not intended to remain outdoors during harsh
Illinois winters. I told them that I could not bring the lights inside because
Rod?s team had glued them to the posts. This surprised Lake Lite so they
contacted Rod explaining that the lights should have been fastened to the posts
with screws not glue. I then called Rod and he became angry that I contacted
his supplier. He actually threatened to come after me for slander. So I
contacted Lake Lite again, speaking with a vice president, requesting the name
of another dealer in my area that could replace the lights Rod installed and
repair any damage the glue did to the posts. Not wanting to get in the middle, Lake
Lite offered to send me two new lights (I have four) but politely washed their
hands of the matter beyond that. If I had the chance to do this all over again,
I would not use Captain Rod. In terms of the lights, my wife and I very much
like them but I am disappointed that Lake Lite did not make their dealer, Captain
    Rod, stand behind his work.

    O'HARE LIMOUSINE SVC
I was quoted $89 for a ride from my home to O'Hare Airport.  I was charge $114.  When I called to inquire, they told me that the airport tax and 20% gratuity was automatically added.  I tipped the driver in cash.  They credited my account for the gratuity.  In my conversation, I cancelled the return trip.  I was charged $79 for the return trip anyway.  I have phone records and a witness to corroborate this, however they refuse to refund the $79.  I have tried to resolve directly with them to no avail.

    OHare Midway Limousine Service Inc
Excellent.  I have always used these guys for Airport Transportation.  Always on time, always professional.  Never had a issue with them.  For a family of 5 people, SUV is the main option now since they are phasing out the Stretch Limos for Airport transport.  I would recommend them overall.

    AMERICAN EXPRESS TAXI
I was really happy with the services that this cab company provided.  I had made a last minute trip arrangement and needed a ride to the airport during rush hour.  The gentleman on the phone was extremely kind and sent over a car to my home. I especially liked using this small company because the cars are very clean and they are very punctual, they will even call my cell phone to let me know that the car in the front.  A great way to travel.

    Access Taxi
I chose Access Taxi because of the reviews from others.  I had bad experiences also with taxi companies.  I contacted Daren for a price to O'Hare and was very impressed with his quick response and professionalism.
I asked him what time he would recommend a pick up should be and he suggested 2 hours before the flight.  I agreed and then set up a pick up date and time.  I emailed him the day before to confirm the pick up time and day.  He quickly confirmed.
Pick up was set for 9am.  At 9:10 I called.  He had the wrong pick up time even though it was in the email he confirmed.
I ended up driving myself with 5 minutes to spare before boarding and costing me more.
I do feel it was an honest mistake because he seemed so professional and other reviews had a good experience.
Unfortunately I would not use him again due to dependabililty.

    ROSAS TREE CARE SVC
A large oak tree fell in our open area in our front yard and luckily did not hit anything the week before thanksgiving. The same day I called Rosas they came out and gave me a quote to remove the tree, stump, and clean up the debris. I also called 2 other companies for quotes to do the work. The price quoted by Rosas was less than the other quotes (some were significantly more). I called on the Tuesday before thanksgiving, they stopped by and gave me a quote the same day and said that due to the holiday they would be out the following week. They called that Sunday and were out the following morning. The work was completed efficiently and they did a great job...would use them again in the future.

    Swift Passport Services
Rob, one of the owners, met me on SUNDAY night and I filled out all of the forms. By Monday afternoon I had my passport. Rob handled the Brazil Visa which we had been told from the Brazil folks it would be at least two weeks. ( I really don?t think Brazil likes us Americans) Rob had it done by Friday and I was able to leave for Brazil on Saturday. They really did the impossible and were always there to answer questions and couldn?t do enough to help me. We have decided that ALL Passport and Visa through our company will go through Swift Passport. The next day service isn't cheap, but they have other packages for two week and one week service that are very reasonable and also 3 day and 5 day. The number of expeditors are limited and the number of slots they have for next day service are limited. Anyway, I found there service to be outstanding, they are very pleasant people, highly efficient and just nice to work with. But I think most of all you can TRUST them.
