    EW PHYSICAL THERAPY
Erin was a lifesaver and was able to relieve the pain I was having in my chest. Very thorough, explains everything and truly helps. She has helped many of my friends, I would definitely recommend her to everyone.

    Illinois Back Institute
They were very friendly to teach me what I need to do to stay healthy.  The treatment worked very well.  Within the first week after three treatments, I was starting to feel the difference.  Then I progressed and it got better and better.  They said that if you are going to do this for a while and then you done, you would continue to do with your own thing and they were right because I don’t have to go to the doctor anymore.  I did three months three times a week and I am great.  However, there was a problem with the billing.  My insurance covered it all and for some reason, they just kept sending me a thing that owed them.  I don’t know if it was a miscommunication, but it was taken care of.

    NuWave Wellness Center
Dr. Vyas took care of my Dad after an evaluation. He came up with the fact that my Dad's muscles were so tight that it was putting pressure on the center of his spine. After stretching him for an hour my Dad was able to stand up without pain. He told him that he is going to need to do the stretches 3-4 a day. I TOLD MY DAD THAT HE IS NOT A CHIROPRACTOR THAT JUST ADJUST YOUR SPINE AND YOU NEED TO COME BACK FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. HE FINDS THE PROBLEM AND FIXES IT BY STRETCHING, MUSCLE STIM, ACCUPUNCURE, MASSAGE, KINESOTAPING, AND ADJUSTMENTS IF NEEDED

    Massage Envy - Palatine
I really like the whole facility. I like the people involved; I have favorites. I like the whole atmosphere. A massage can sometimes be an uncomfortable thing for people, but they are very professional about it. The staff is really good. With regard to bedside manner, they are great.

    Vanderbilt Family Chiropractic
I had injured myself playing a sport and my lower back and neck were in a good deal of pain. I came to Vanderbilt and they did a tremendous job. They were able to put my back and neck into place very well and I am in great shape now. I would definitely use them again.

    Felde Chiropractic
I was having an incredible amount of back pain and really needed a good massage. I found it at Felde. The massage was excellent and did a wonderful job of relieving my back pain from stress and work. It was a great experience and I will be returning soon.

    Sir Spa
I received a gift certificate for Sir Spa, after about 6-months the owners decided to nullify all outstanding certificates, accepting only 50% of the face value.  I argued with the staff, but the attitude was "tough luck, take it or leave it"!  I went ahead & used the remainder of my $200 certificate and the place was a disappointment: filthy carpeting, mildew in showers, tattered robes.  Lousy customer service & disappointing experience. There are plenty of spas in Chicago - skip this one!

    Massage Envy - Lake Zurich
Katelyn is who I started with a few sessions ago, and I'm staying with her. She is very professional, thorough, and courteous. She listens to me and works very hard to give me a thorough massage and helps me to relax and I leave there very loose and feeling better. The whole massage experience is very discreet, professional and relaxing. It's amazing how fast the hour goes. I don't ever want it to end!

    Arlington Rehabilitation & Living Center
There was no-one available to greet or comfortably settle my mother in, although I'd phoned to indicate that she would be arriving from the hospital that afternoon.  We were shown to her room and a staff member arrived to very quickly do an assessment and show her where to put her belongings.  Everything was rushed.  I had asked specifically about bringing my mother's walker, but we were advised that they have walkers at the rehab so it wasn't necessary.  They sat my mom in a wheelchair, and she remained  "parked" there for hours until I called later that night to remind them that they'd said they'd get her a walker to use.  It was only then that I was told that the staff preferred to do a physical therapy assessment first, and until then they perferred that the residents use a wheelchair.  Ok, at least that made some sense, but  if that's the case, don't leave the resident unattended for long periods of time, in the wheelchair.   Although we had specifically requested that ONLY female attendants assist my mother with dressing/undressing and bathing, they sent a male aid to care for her.  When she refused, according to my mother, the aid left and seemed angry.  After I complained, they provided a female aid.  None of the staff made an attempt to bring my mom to the various activities offered  or encouraged her to participate until I made a fuss about it or until I took her myself.   Maybe they just assumed she knew about them and should get there on her own, not even knowing her way around the place (she is 88 and somewhat frail).  The food choices were not only disgusting, tasteless and of the cheapest quality and ingredients, but inappropriate for elderly individuals who need proper nutrition.  The alternative to the days' lunch or dinner menu selection was a greasy grilled cheese sandwich.  Although I spoke with one of the chefs who promised he could and would subsitute other, healthier choices for my mom, that didn't happen.   The nurses and aids were polite, hardworking, and caring.  There were not enough of them.  My mom seemed pleased by the rehabilitation therapy she received.   When one calls to speak to their relative, the call center CANNOT transfer a call to the patient.  You can only dial a patient direct.  When calling the main number at various times of the day, the phone can easily ring over 20-30 times before anyone picks up.   At one point, I spoke with the director who seemed concerned and helpful.  Within an hour of my call, my mother reported that people were bustling in and out of her room, taking care of her needs.   That worked fine for a day.  Then it was back to same old....same old.
I would NOT use this facility again.  The level of care was definitely inferior to care my mother had received in other rehab facilities within the same year.   Arlington Rehab isn't a dangerous place to leave your loved one.  But the level of care and compassion is definitely not up to competitors in the area.  The only reason to choose this place over the competition would be that it offers private rooms for essentially the same cost as a shared room elsewhere.  Next time, we'll deal with sharing a room if the trade-off is an overall more supportive rehab experience.

    Massage Envy - Lake Zurich
I have been a member of Message Envy for quite some time, and i have never had a bad experience there! I do go to the one therapist that I started with, as he knows my problem areas, and he helps my muscles to stay relaxed! It is a battle for me, but with Ron's help, I function very well.
