AGARAGE FOR YOU INCBob was super responsive in meeting with us and helping design the garage. They will make custom garages. We wanted a room built into our garage to shelter some feral cats we take care of, and they were willing to do that. They also installed a cat door that we purchased. They build good garages. Our old garage was falling apart, as are many others in the neighborhood. We wanted a garage that would last. All of the crew were highly-skilled and tremendously courteous. The quality of work at every stage was excellent: preparation of site, concrete pour, framing, roof, finishing/gutters. They took extra care to do things right. The job did take longer than expected. Part of that was due to issues with the site (excessive mud under the old garage that had to dry out and additional site preparation) but it seems the COVID pandemic generated a lot of home projects - we were in a work queue. Demolition started mid-September and garage was completed early January. (Our furnace guy had a similar situation with a different garage builder, so it wasn't just this company. We learned to be Zen about the timeline - it was less stressful that way.) In the end, we have a beautiful garage that should last for years. Very pleased.- Michael M.

AThe bathroom remodel was in April 2018. The job was finished one day later than described and that was unavoidable because I live in a very old house. Larry and Augie were absolute gentlemen, talented and skillful, and the job was cleaned up every day before they left. They arrived on time, took their lunches and breaks nearly to the minute and kept me informed every day of what was happening. The family room remodel will be completed next week when the bar top is installed and this job went exactly the same as the bathroom. Tommy and Eddie were also complete gentlemen and also very skillful and creative because in this old home creativity was a necessity to overcome some obstacles. Andy, the project manager, continually made his presence known and I felt very comfortable contacting him for any thoughts or questions I had. I would most definitely use Apex again.

AWe had a small leak in a really high part of our roof. Couldn't see anything from the ground. Called a few places and they said they were scheduling for weeks out for inspections and even farther out for repairs. Ed of C&S said he could come the next day, a Saturday. He took pictures, showed us we were missing a couple shingles, and went to pick up some replacements and fixed it the same day.

AI'm looking for an A+ choice because we are so lucky we found Doug for our project, and so happy with the effort he put forth for our project. Our experience with him has been wonderful and he is even a nicer guy than he is a great architect. We got to Doug through a reference after being run-around for months by a previous recommendation who decided he was too busy, after stringing us along for too long. Doug (and everyone) was backed up with Covid renovation, but when he heard my frustration in the delay he found a creative way to work us in. He made several visits to our apartment and dug through some walls to be certain what was possible and what the limits were. He looked at our idea which started as a shower expansion and showed us how we could do so much more if we removed the bathtub which we never use, resulting in a much larger footprint for the shower and a new vanity/makeup/cabinet area where the enlarged shower was originally going to go. He came up with a wonderful venting solution that we weren't focused on, and then noticing that with the new plan that we'd have to re-tile the floor, made a great suggestion to heat the new tile floor. Something we hadn't thought about. We are so excited for the new design and features of the new space he's defined. He mocked up a cardboard replica of the steam generator for the shower so that we could work in 3-space to position it in the adjacent closet, and he's made trips here throughout the project and has been available to answer our questions. We were having problems visualizing some details in discussions with our contractor and he emailed an isometric 3-D drawing shortly after our clarification phone discussion. After Doug finished the drawings, we weren't happy with the 2 contractor quotes we received and Doug connected us with a wonderful contractor who came in with a much better price and has been an absolute joy to work with. All of this was done for the reasonable price of his original quote, even though the calls, visits, emails drawings and interacting with our contractor was extra work.

AWe had an aerobic septic system installed. Jordan was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive and informative and continues to be even after job completion. He made working with the county departments painless. The project was completed sooner than expected (we could use toilets!). He told us the truth about what our yard would look like during and after the job. Despite this, he managed to do a wonderful job working around a tree and flowers which was no easy task! He also connected us to a great concrete guy to create a patio over where the old tank was. We have already recommended Countryside Plumbing to our neighbors.
