    Wilson Home Restorations
Excellent service, quality of materials and new products (Sunrise windows, Provia doors & Azec railings) have added much value to our home! We have used Wilson Home Restorations on three different occasions over the past five years and each project was a huge success!

    Rock Solid Builders Inc
Everyone at Rock Solid Builders was very professional, helpful, extremely flexible and truly interested in making sure our needs were met, The installation started when promised and was pretty much turnkey process. The installers did a great job and were happy to accommodate some minor adjustments in the design of the privacy panels. We are very happy with our choice of Trex (vs wood) and are glad we decided to work with Rock Solid Builders.

    Georgetown Decks & Construction Inc
I consider myself a very demanding customer and Georgetown Decks met or exceeded my expectations but why wouldn't I be happy. Both Tom and Corey quickly responded to my every question (which were numerous), suggested design changes which lowered the cost, built the deck on schedule, had excellent attention to detail, and followed up to make sure I was happy. The end result was an over 540 sf elevated composite deck with lighting, rain escapes and capping of the posts and beams. The finished deck is beautiful. Also, Georgetown Decks is a TrexPro Platinum builder which is their most experienced designation. They know everything about decks and I would highly recommend them (and have) to my friends. Note: I'm still deciding on landscape pavers for the edging beneath the deck so don't pay any attention to that in the photos.

    Georgetown Decks & Construction Inc
From start to finish Georgetown Deck did an excellent job in the deck building process. Both Tom and Corey (co-owners) were very professional and responsive throughout the entire project. The end result was an over 500 sf elevated composite deck with lighting, rain escapes and capping of the posts and beams. The finished deck is beautiful. I consider myself a very demanding customer and they met or exceeded my expectations but why wouldn't I be happy. They responded to my every question which were numerous, were always on time, had an excellent attention to detail, and followed up to make sure I was happy. They even returned to replace a top rail section that had a very, very minor imperfection I found after the deck was completed. i would highly recommend them (and have) to all my friends.

Amruss Inc & Isabela Skalna Inc
Amruss did a great job of pressure washing the deck. The installation of the new deck railing was substandard and of very low quality. They then applied a stain to the railing and to the deck floor. That work was also of low quality. I was, and still am, very disappointed. I will never use Amruss again.

    Bristol Handyman Services
Louis built a beautiful deck for us. He is not the kind of contractor/Handyman who just wants to get money from customers. Instead, he is reasonably priced and is willing to work to the customer's satisfaction. We found him from Angel's list and we are happy with our decision of choosing him. Will hire him again whenever we need help. Thanks Louis.

    Rock Solid Builders Inc
We got estimates from 3 highly rated contractors for this project. They were all competitive on the basic deck but the other two would only give ranges for the screen room option, which seemed quite high. RSB provided a detailed estimate for everything for a price I felt was very good. They stuck to their proposal throughout the project with the only change order being a small upgrade of the deck balusters that I requested. RSB worked with me to get HOA approval for the new room, and they took care of all permitting needed. They made the project relatively stress free from that perspective. The work started when scheduled and I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work Robb (lead carpenter) and his crew did. They showed up like clockwork every morning, worked through the day, and did a thorough clean up at the end of every day. Robb was very helpful whenever I had questions. I was home for most of the construction so was able to watch what they were doing and was very impressed with their attention to detail. We had the work done during the winter so the weather wasn't always the nicest but they didn't cut any corners. They had a couple of subs (electrical and roofing) which RSB managed and made sure the work was done correctly. All in all we love our new deck and screen room and would highly recommend Rock Solid for a similar project.

    Gorham Home Repair Inc
Phoned company Friday afternoon. Left message with name, address, home and cell numbers, as well as brief description of job. As of five days later have not heard from them. Found someone else to do the job for $275.

    RICH PRESBERG RJP Custom Contracting
Worst experience ever, BEWARE! Rich was pleasant and persuasive in the beginning of the project, and then became extremely confrontational, hostile and very difficult to work with. He structured the contract so that most of the money was due in the first few phases of the project, and very little was left to be paid later. He said it needed to be that way in order for us to get such a good deal, and we foolishly signed it. The project progressed, albeit slowly, until the majority of the money had been paid, but only about 1/3 of the work had been done. At that point, all work/progress dramatically slowed down. After many months of almost no progress, he and his wife came to us with a sob story (literal tears were shed) about how they spent all the money we had paid him to take care of their personal problems so they couldn't afford to buy materials to continue work on our project. We should have cut our losses then, but we continued to try to work with him and purchased materials (which we had already paid him for) so the work could continue. Even with that, the roofing and other materials still sat in our garage for months waiting to be installed (by that point Rich rarely showed up to work, and when he did he worked VERY slowly). His list of excuses for not working was never ending, including things like car trouble, injuries, illness, not having child care, problems with materials, problems with tools, weather (even on sunny days), or often none at all. Im sure when he disputes this review he will come up with even more excuses! He eventually told us that no one (including him!) could have completed the project for the price HE QUOTED. In my opinion, he underquoted the project to get our money with no intention of actually completing it for that price. This project was contracted to take 8-12 weeks, but was still not completed after 2 years. After we had all we could take, we hired another company to finish the project (they estimated that Rich had completed less than 1/2 of the project at that point). We had to cut corners and change our plans since we had given Rich all the money we had saved and budgeted towards this project. Also, the quality of much of the work performed by Rich was generally poor, and in many cases needed to be redone by the new company. Unfortunately the lesson we learned from all of this is never to try to help a small business, but to always go with the larger companies who will complete and back up their work as promised. Also to be very careful in the way contracts are structured. And to never do business with Rich Presberg / RJP again.

    Tom The Painter
Tom was very prompt in providing an estimate for the power washing, sanding and staining my deck and porch exterior. He explained each step, answered all my questions and was very helpful in selecting the stain that was used. He and his crew were on time, professional and quick. They were careful to cover plants, flowers and surfaces near the deck so that they were not damaged. They did a beautiful job. We couldn't be more pleased with the result. Will definitely use again.
