  • After looking at the alternatives, I chose to go with Glass Guru for slider doors and one double hung window (because the seals had broken, and the windows were permanently foggy). Glass guru measures the windows and then manufactures the window unit offsite. And the installation is then completed onsite. The install I described took just under two hours, and cost about 15% less than on-site custom cut installation. The technicians worked neatly. The proof will be if the windows don't fog over the next several months. (There is a 10 year warranty on materials, 1 year warranty on the labor.)

  • Marcin contacted me right away and provided a rough estimate based on photo's I texted him. After agreeing to proceed, he came by to take measurements and take care of the paperwork. Marcin did a great job explaining the process - it went exactly as he had told us it would. The installation went well with no problems. The crew showed up on time, did quality work and left the work area nice and clean. I really appreciated Marcin's attention to detail. He was genuinely concerned with getting everything exactly right and to our satisfaction. I would absolutely hire him again.

  • Great experience all the way around!  Appointment for estimate and installation was made quickly, Ronnie and crew arrived on time and performed the installation perfectly. I would highly recommend LDS Renovations to anyone I know, and use their services again, if needed.

  • Ronnie is a very friendly, knowledgeable professional, and was very easy to work with, he took the time to explain the process and educate me on the problems and the product.  He was honest, reliable, competitively-priced, and delivered what he promised!  His business is family-run (which I also like!), his crew was professional, friendly, worked well together, was respectful of my home (carefully moved & replaced furniture), cleaned up tools and left my home tidy; even lubricated and fixed my patio door lock mechanism, and fixed a warped molding piece on one of the decorative fixed windows  at no additional no charge!

After coming off of a nightmare of an experience with a siding/roofing contractor just last Fall, I was to say the least a little hesitant and cautious to enter into another contractor relationship, but much to my delight the experience had with Ronnie and LDS Renovations was pleasant, easy, quick, painless - and refreshing!  Here?s how it went start to finish in just a few weeks ?  I sent e-mail for a request for quote, received very quick response (the next day!), he was very accommodating with my schedule and agreed to an evening appointment for an assessment and preliminary measuring, received quote the next day, I accepted the proposal and agreed to move forward with the job; to ensure an accurate glass order was placed he came back briefly a second time (also in the evening) removed & took apart one window did some additional measuring and note taking, the order was placed, a week later I was notified my order was in, scheduled a weekend installation date (again easy on the schedule), on install date, arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) with a large crew, installation was completed seamlessly in only 3 hours!  I love my new windows ? what a difference it is to have such nice, clear windows!  I highly recommend Ronnie and LDS Renovations for your glass replacement needs, you won?t be disappointed!  Thank you again, Ronnie and crew for a job well done!

  • The project went great, and Andy was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Andy for a number of reasons as detailed below.
    1. The estimate was reasonable and fair. I asked Andy to quote the job with the understanding that I would provide most of the materials. Andy is very polite and soft spoken, and from our original introduction, I had a very good feeling about working with him, and that is important. The estimate was delivered via email within a couple of days. The estimate is not a typical estimate by a building firm where everything is completely detailed, but rather a thoughtful description of the work to be done and the materials Andy will provide. The estimate is more like a letter with generalized bullet points, but it worked for me. I did not contact other remodelers, because this job was a long time coming and I had spoken to other contractors in the past, so I knew that Andy's estimate was more than fair. We agreed to the terms, and the work was to start in 2-3 weeks. I began ordering materials at that time, and everything was delivered and ready when Andy and Carlos arrived on Sept. 16 to begin working.
    2. Andy and Carlos are very hard workers. They are neat, to boot. Tarps were laid each day to protect the carpet and wood floors, and they probably made one thousand trips up and down the stairs during the course of the job. Also, another thing I noticed immediately was the quiet close to the front door. I can't get my kids to close the door quietly, but Andy and Carlos did each of the thousand times they went in and out of the house. I appreciated that. They were also helpful and careful. Each night everything was cleaned up. The area was vacuumed, the garage was swept, the tarps were removed, and the garbage was bundled. It was still unavoidably messy around the house, but it wasn't a nightmare!
    3. The work itself was excellent and proceeded in a timely manner. Because the majority of the work was done by Andy and Carlos, the progress on a daily basis was steady, but not overwhelming. If you want a large job done in 3 or 4 days, you will need to hire someone with a larger crew. I liked the fact that Andy performed all the difficult work himself, including rewiring electrical, moving plumbing, and measuring/installing the board and batten wall treatment. Andy will consult with you as the job proceeds. This was easy in my case because I was home during the remodel, so there were never any misunderstandings. He is very patient with modest indecision, as well, because he wants you to be happy. He believes it is your house, and what is done should be how you want it. A third man was brought in to install the tile, and this helped move things along. There are a few imperfections in the tile installation, but they are minor and would not be noticed by anyone other than me. Tiling is a very difficult decision because it is so permanent, and I had a very hard time deciding. I made a number of 11th hour changes, and Andy was very understanding, again he wants the homeowner to be happy. I am very pleased that I was able to modify my original intent. I love how the bathroom turned out.
    4. The work that was done included 1) complete demolition of the existing bathroom, 2) electrical work including new sconces, upgraded exhaust fan, new outlet boxes, rewiring, can lights, and heated floor, 3) plumbing work including moving all hot and cold pipes behind the walls for a new vanity placement,  shower valve relocation, and new valve and floor drain for a freestanding bathtub, 4) tile work including tiling the shower with a mosaic from floor to ceiling, and 12x24 tiles on the floor, 5) carpentry work including installing a board and batten trim around all the walls (this was an 11th hour change not included in the original estimate) and drywall repair, and 6) painting and finishing work including painting all the walls and the trim and installing all the lights, plumbing fixtures, fan, accessories and towel warmer.
In the end, my bathroom looks fantastic. it looks nicer than most of the other rooms in my house now! Andy and his crew were wonderful to work with. They arrived on time every day, and worked each and every day until the job was completed. Because there were some changes to the work as things progressed, the final tally for the work was about $1,000 more than the original estimate, but I expected that. I will gladly have Andy back to do work in the future. It was a very good decision to hire him.

  • Called LDS Renovations to remove a large mirror in my bathroom. Called on Saturday and Ronnie and his son can next day! They were extremely responsive and did great work! I was very pleased with their professionalism and work. Ronnie was also very fair with pricing for the job. Highly recommend and will certainly use again if necessary.

  • We have two very wide sliding doors which would not open more than 3 inches possibly due to house settling.  House was built in 1974.  Ronnie Barnes told me he could fix them.  this was a nice surprise because we thought they would need to be replaced which would have been very expensive.    Ronnie came and fixed the windows with little problem.  He rescreened the screens as well.  I don't think too many people would have been able to do what Ronnie did.  We were very happy with the work and the result!

  • Ronnie was prompt and extremely confident he could replace the mirror. But while he was there I asked him to look at the slidder windows which would not open very far. Ronnie and his co-worker examined the windows very carefully and decided that new doors were not necessary but could be repaired. I was delighted and told them I would call back in the spring.

  • Ronnie came out to quote the job as scheduled, provided a firm-price quote on the spot, had the materials in hand within days of being awarded the job, arrived to do the work as scheduled, and did fine work. He was consistently professional and courteous.

  • Fantastic!  They were prompt, professional, and super easy to work with!  They did a great job!
