AHS PLUMBING, DRAIN AND SEWER SERVICE
Excellent. Called at 7:30 am and by 8am, Freddy arrived. Professional, courteous and got the job done in about an hour. After fixing the clog with his whizz bang machine he put everything back and meticulously checked for leaks. Couldn't ask for any more. Thank you.

Toptec Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical, Inc.
I purchased a toilet tune-up on April 8, 2016.  My first appointment was scheduled for May 7 @ 9:00 a.m.  Top tec called me that morning to say they were running behind.  Because I had made plans for that afternoon, I asked if I could reschedule.  I was told yes, May 14 at 9:00, and I would be their first appointment.  May 14 at 7:48, Brian from Top Tec calls to say he is running late.  He said he would be at my house between 11-1.  I said ok, please call me when you're on your way.  At 12:20 Brian calls again to say that he was leaving his job in Libertyville in 20 minutes and would be at my house at 1:30.  At 2:15, still no Brian.  I decided to call Top Tec and was told I would receive a callback.  At 2:24, Jordan calls me back.  He asked who the tech was that was scheduled and I said Brian; at this point Jordan's response was laughter.  Anyways, Jordan said he was going to stop after he got done at his job in Lincolnshire.  2:35 and Brian calls.  I couldn't hear or understand him because the background noise from wherever he was sounded like a noisy bar/restaurant.  3:00, to my surprise Brian shows up!!! I told him Jordan was coming, he seemed confused or possibly even intoxicated and called Jordan to say he was here.  I showed him the toilet to tune up. Brian seemed to think I was better off getting a new one and didn't do anything. I couldn't help but think that this guy is 6 hours behind schedule on Saturday afternoon and he's trying to figure out how to catch up.  I also thought, I am so frustrated wasting 6 hours on a Saturday for this?!?   So........if you like rescheduling appointments, like waiting 6 hours for a tech, like feeling like you have just been ripped off then I can highly recommend Top Tec to you.  However, if you don't like any of those things, stear clear of any "Deal" you might think of purchasing.

They were excellent! Sent 2 plumbers out. I called at 11am and they were out by 11:45 and the job was done in 40 minutes. They even cleaned up a mess I had made in the sink. Very good service.

We called early on a Sunday morning after having a back up on our main line the night before. They worked us into an already full schedule. We suspected the line needed to be rodded and that would be it. Unfortunately the pipe broke outside the foundation. The price for digging and fixing was similar to a previous quote from another plumber two years ago (we waited because it wasn't critical yet). It understandably went up after they were able to see the pipes needed to be reconfigured for new codes. We believe the price was fair and they were very accommodating. They were digging the following day and fully completed a day later. They gave good recommendations and advice along the way. We were especially impressed with Tom and his coworker (sorry didn't catch his name!) who worked into the early evening - in the rain! - so we could have use of the water that night. They also waited patiently over lunch for the city inspector. We have peace of mind that this is fixed and we are very pleased to have received such professional work.

    Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer
The Kitchen sink wasn't draining, after doing everything I could do on my own with no improvement, I called Dave. He talked me through the problem and scheduled to come by the next day. he arrived on time, came in, and got right to work. he snaked the drain and had the sink working properly in a matter of minutes. Dave and Curt were very professional and even talked me through how I could prevent the problem in the future. they were great. I would definitely call them again.

Honored Angie's list deal ($99 for the main sewer rodding and camera), was honest about the condition of the sewer line and gave us a good maintenance schedule. Also hand rodded bathroom drain that was clogged and kitchen drain that was clogged for $229. The price of the rodding on the bathroom and kitchen was fair but not great. Overral though, they were fast and reasonable, very professional and did a good job. I'd work with them again.

    Lake Cook Plumbing
I sent a message to Lake Cook Plumbing on 6/29 providing them with the following list of plumbing issues I needed addressed: 1) Guest Bathroom sink faucets no water comes out when turned on. 2) Guest Bathroom tub faucet not working - no water comes out - although I had a feeling it might be just a stripped knob.  Also, when the bathtub was filled with water, the water slowly leaks out while the drain stopper is in (seal not tight enough & there was evidence of corrosion and hard water/mineral deposit around drain.  3) Master Bathroom: Installation of a new rain shower head (I supplied the shower head) and a new bathroom drain stopper, mine is damaged (bottom connection is broken), it's supposed to be connected to the drain assembly and just slightly turn when needed. 4) Need 2 outside spigots assessed to see if they are leaking - not sure whether it is the actual spigots or the hoses connected that are the problem (water everywhere when I use the hose!)  I told them there was no emergency but wanted to address in a timely manner, told them where I resided and to please contact me via e-mail to schedule an appointment.
A day later I received a very pleasant e-mail from Kimberly informing me they would be happy to assist me in my needs and to phone her to set up an appointment.  Shortly thereafter I phoned and set-up an appointment for 7/7, during this call I asked her if my specific plumbing needs were a good candidate for the Angie's Deal of $99 for $200 worth of plumbing labor; she said yes; so I went ahead and purchased the Angie's Deal and I'm glad I did because the clogged faucets in the Guest Bathroom were quite troublesome and time consuming to fix (eventually had to have another plumber come to assist with a special pump to clear the lines)
On the day of my appointment, Steve arrived on time (even phoned ahead to let me know he was on his way - nice!). I explained and showed him all of the issues mentioned above; he assessed and provided me with 2 written options as to the scope & cost of the work, I chose the less expensive option ($572) after learning that the installation of 2 bathtub drains with twist & turn stoppers was quite labor intensive and expensive (the whole drain assembly has to be replaced!) After discussing with him I decided that it was just as effective and much more cost effective if I would purchase simple rubber drain stoppers and be done with it.)
All of the work went very quickly and smoothly (new shower head, cartridges, and a new bath tub knob installed, no problems with the outdoor spigots - it was just bad garden hoses!) Until it came to figuring out why no water would come out of the sink faucets - Steve spent quite a bit of time and went down the checklist of trying & replacing different things to resolve - we determined because the faucets were very rarely used (It's a Guest Bathroom) there was severe calcium buildup - they were really clogged!  He phoned a colleague, explained the situation and soon Mike D arrived with a special pump after rigging it up a couple of different ways and pumping it a couple of times - we heard a loud pop sound and the water was flowing!  I now understand the benefits and necessity of occasionally "exercising" (Plumber term, it means turn the faucets on every few weeks and let them run a couple of minutes so they don't get clogged!) those faucets (sinks & showers/tubs) that don't get used very often.
I found my experience with Lake Cook Plumbing Services very satisfying, Steve was punctual, professional, tidied up after himself and even wore booties in my house after going in and out to his truck for parts. He addressed all of my plumbing issues, educated me on some of the plumbing things I knew nothing about, suggested ways to avoid problems in the future, and assured me that my decision of going with the simple rubber drain stoppers in the bathtubs would be as effective and a lot less costly then replacing all of the drain assemblies.  Also, glad I purchased the Angie's Deal as my total bill was reduced by $200 bringing the total to $372 vs. $572.

    Beezee Electric & Plumbing
The company set up a 2 hour window for the service call. They called to say they were 20 mins away from the house and arrive on time. The technician greeted me at the door and introduced himself. He immediately put on booties over his work boots before stepping inside. I showed him where the toilet was leaking into the basement and where the bathroom was. He knew right away what the issue was and sat down to explain how he would fix it. His company does a flat rate for the job which means you do not pay by the hour. He explained that even if he removed the toilet and there was more damage the cost of the job would not increase. He started the work and was done with it within 15 minutes. I can not express enough how great his service was. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

They called when running late for the appointment which was a pleasant surprise. They arrived in a very clean uniform and took care to keep the job area clean using tarps. They completed the job as promptly and once they left the job area was spotless.
    Thank you soo much.
