    The Lamp Shader
Wow! Today I visited The Lamp Shader for the first time because I needed a shade/harp/finial to go on a vintage floor lamp I purchased at an estate sale. Don helped me find the perfect shade and spent a lot of time showing me all of the options for shades and finials. He also took great care in figuring out what the height of the harp should be so that the right amount of the "candle" is exposed. I appreciate the attention to detail and can't say enough about their friendly service and expertise. I will definitely be back and recommend their shop to anyone who needs anything lamp related.

    Noon Sharpening
The Noons greeted me and were very cordial. I received a text message when the knives and scissors were ready to be picked up and well ahead of schedule. I am very happy with the service and pricing and will definitely use their services again in the future.

    First Class Moving & Storage
Weve used many moving/storage companies in the past. First Class Moving & Storage was the best. From the initial customer service set up/scheduling, to the actual move, everything went smoothly and very efficiently. They arrived on time. The movers were professional, friendly and very helpful and flexible. They worked with my husband and I the entire time to ensure everything went where it was supposed to go. Nothing was damaged and there werent any hitches involved. I highly recommend them. A+

    Trifecto Audio Video
Was referred to Trifecto by the contractor that was building an entire new patio for our new home. The moment I met the professional that I'd spend the next few weeks working with (Chris B), I knew it was going to be one of the best decisions of the product. Chris was extremely professional, punctual, followed through on his promises (even if mentioned ever so briefly), courteous and most importantly, focused on providing me the best product/service at a price that made sense. While I have a brand new outdoor space to enjoy all year round, the system that Trifecto installed takes the experience to a whole new level. Any questions I had along the way I'd send Chris B a text and he would respond in a matter of minutes. Felt bad that he was even doing so while on vacation with his family for a couple days in Wisconsin. If Chris is representative of what it's like to work with Trifecto you really can't go wrong!

    MJ Watch Service
Fantastic. These guys are pro's. Both watches are complex chronographs and required a full overhaul. Both are running great. They have another UG Tri Compax in service now. I've been using them for years but only recently began bringing complex repairs to them, having realized that I'd been paying way too much to a downtown watchmaker. Prior to this they did a hand reset on another Tri Compax and an overhaul on a 1950 Longines Chrono. They have done Quartz and Three Hand watches for my family for years. Wish I had back all the cash I'd laid out downtown!

    First Class Moving & Storage
They were very careful with our things. They were able to take care of anything that needed special packaging for the move, beyond the moving boxes we packed ourselves. Everything made it in one piece and on time! The crew also reassembled some of our items that needed to be taken apart to fit on the truck and through the door.

    Comcast Evanston
Trying to deal with their customer service at my old place when I had service issues you would end up with a person and he wouldn't answer anything except what their script on the screen tells them. So I had some issues with that. The guy who actually came to do my move-in package just hooked me up. He said he wouldn't run extra wire because that would be an extra service. I just didn't want to deal with them. I got hooked up okay and then I had some issues getting my box working correctly. I had to replace one and then going to their service center, there was like one service center in my whole area. It's like going to the DMV, it was so crowded. I'm like, "Oh, in the future I will mail back equipment. I will never go into this place again." So, they're just okay. You go there and take a number, I waited like 45 minutes or more to exchange a box. I am locked into a 2-year contract to get a cheaper price on my bundle. For my internet and my cable and my phone bundle together it's $132 a month. They are in line with other provider's packages around here. Sometimes they are slow, sometimes they have brief outages. You've got to deal with their phone support. Years ago, they didn't show up for two service calls where I took the day off and I called. Finally somehow I got from someone in India to like a supervisor in my local area. I'm on the phone and they're like, "What's your contact phone number? That's not what they have listed." I'm like, "But it's the number listed on my main account." Because they typed in my contact phone number wrong, I never was getting their phone call to confirm, so they kept canceling my appointment. I'm like, "Really? The other support people couldn't have asked me that?" But, the more recent experience hasn't been as bad. I think he was on time. They were not being helpful with explaining to me about if I needed new wiring. He seemed to think like I would have to get another company or something, which I don't think is true. I got the impression that the Comcast guy didn't want to deal with it. In my old place, I got one guy who was older and he was excellent.

    Wow Cable
The rep promised services and connection that the technician could not do. We were told that we could "try" WOW for 30 days and if we were not happy, we could cancel the service. The rep said that we would not have to cancel Comcast until we decided. What the rep did not tell us was that WOW would unhook the Comcast connection and that if we decided not to stay with WOW, we would have to pay a connection fee to Comcast to hook us back up. In addition, the rep said that we would be able to use their remote to change channels on our TV. However, he did not tell us that the only way for us to change channels would be to go into the closet and change the channels while facing the cable box. There is no physical was to do this and see the TV screen on the wall. While we were on the phone with the supervisor, the technician left without saying a word. We have to pay $150 to get reconnected.

    Carolyn's Creative Resumes
Do yourself a favor and reach out to Carolyn. To have access to someone like her (smart/professional/nice, the list goes on) is really beneficial. She cared about my success (with a great, professional, loose/humorous attitude all along the way). Also, it seems like she can meet all needs, from entry level to the highest executive level  and everything in between.

    Bluebird Locksmith LLC
We were panicked since we locked some important items in the car along with the car keys. Called three places that popped up on top of the Google search page and felt that all of them were dispatched, very suspicious. Whenever the technician called back, they gave a vague quote and seemed very sketchy. It was alarming enough that we refused to give out our address and told them we found someone else. Thank goodness we did find a reliable, honest locksmith on Angie's LIst!

David Wilson is the owner at Bluebird Locksmith. He is very informative and professional. Even just speaking with him over the phone gave us so much reassurance. He is very honest and willing to help. He asked all the right questions and gave us all the options available for our situation.

Dave unlocked our vehicle for us in a timely fashion, and was extremely patient and personable. It felt like talking to a friend we've known for years, who just happened to know how to work on locks! We were so impressed with his service and demeanor, we asked if he could come back and replace a jammed door in our house (Yes, we installed a cheap keyed door knob from HomeDepot ourselves because we are renting...please don't make the same mistake!) Boy, were we impressed when Dave suggested a different door knob that he could install right on the spot! Within 20 minutes, we have a professionally installed locked door in our home. All this incredible customer service and trustworthy professional installation, at an extremely fair price. We are not big on writing reviews, especially such a lengthy one, but Dave from Bluebird Locksmith deserves a medal for his excellent service and credible reputation!
