    ROSEBROOK POOLS
I am beyond disappointed with my experience with Rosebrook. We are serious buyers, and have in fact signed a contract with another company. We talked to three different pool companies and were going to go with the best choice, not just bottom line, but also design, ability to service, etc. Rosebrook came out for the initial consultation, and we were told he would have a quote for us within two weeks. The guy who came out was very nice. But at two weeks, I sent an email to follow up and was told it would be another week because the designer had been busy "out in the field." I waited another week, sent a follow up email, and then received no response at all. Another week went by with nothing, so we made our decision and moved on. I called Rosebrook out of courtesy to let the owner, Jamie, know what happened just so he would understand they're losing business and why. I was very polite, as I felt it was his employee's fault and not his. However, his response was plainly, "okay." So I said I would have expected an apology that they dropped the ball and essentially wasted my time. He didn't care at all. I am so glad we didn't get any further with them, as they are clearly not a good company to deal with, and they have zero concern for customer service. I would never recommend them.

    K & M Pool Services
K & M is wonderful. We have used K & M for a few years now. Matt has always been a hard worker and very professional. He understands pools and give the owner great advice on equipment, service, etc. We highly recommend!

    Russo's Pool & Spa Inc
I called Russo several times.  The first few times the person that answered the phone did not have a good grasp of English and was very curt and rude.  I left a message with their voicemail asking to call me back, they never did.  Since I didn't have many options in spa service, I tried calling again and eventually got a receptionist who told me that she would have their spa specialist give me a call to schedule an appointment.  No one ever called.

    SPA DOCTORS INC.
These guys were the only hot tub repair folks in the area that actually returned my call.  All the highest rated companies on Angies list never called back.  After giving up on those guys I called spa doctors and was able to get an appointment within two days.
I had a leaky hot tub.  The water drained down a few inches then stopped.  I wasn't sure where it was or how to go about finding the leak.  Tony came out and wasn't especially familiar with my model of hot tub.  Neither of us were sure how to remove the side panels (the hot tub was here when I bought the house).  After calling his office to see if he could contact the manufacturer he was able to find the hidden screws to remove the panels.  He got one of them off for us to discover that there was a solid foam block of insulation surrounding the tub.  He poked around for a few minutes before declaring that it would take a "long time" (read expensive) to find the leak.  I told him that I would attempt to find it myself (at least now I knew how to remove the side panels).
The next day I go out and start searching for the leak... I found it in about fifteen minutes (plus another fifteen minutes to remove the other side panel).  So I found the leaky pipe, took a picture and emailed it to the Spa Doctors.  Tony was on vacation the next week, so I had to wait a few extra days.  They came by and replaced the pipe, but were unable to replace the insulation that needed to removed to fix the pipe because the sealant needed to set... so another job for me.
In all I paid $125 for each of the two visits plus $10 for the replacement pipe.

    Quality Pool Maintenance
They quality of their work is excellent.  I have very good luck with them; they are very reliable.  I do the regular maintenance as far as the cleaning it, chlorine, and so forth.  The demeanor of the staff is fantastic; they are very good and I think their price is on par with everybody else.

    Russo's Pool & Spa Inc
Joe Russo is great! He came out personally when we opened and closed the pool. When they came to open the pool the previous owners had left the cover with holes in it so the water was green and awful. They had to drain the enitre thing and acid wash it. When they finished the pool looked brand new. They then did the weekly maintenance and closed the pool in the fall.  Joe gives very fair rates (lower than most other's I called) and does a good job.  I would say it is sometimes hard to get the staff at the store to call you back. But if I ever call Joe directly he answers or calls back right away. We will be using them again this summer.

    MR POOLMAN
They're great & very reasonable. Because we don't live there, they call & explain what they need to do before hand & make sure we want the work done. They've done the work as needed well & efficiently.

    AAA Pool Service Inc.
Harry and his son Pat have provided our pool care for over 7 years. When we discovered AAA Full Line Pool Service we were in need of a new pool service company due to a horrible experience with a previous pool care company. Harry calmed our nerves and took charge. He evaluated our short term and long term needs and provided a plan to make it all work. I cannot say enough about Harry, Pat, and the crew that take care of us. Service calls are immediately responded to. Last minute requests to help out with service when we go on vacation are never a problem. They are always watching out for our best interests and making suggestions for improved quality and cost savings regarding chemicals, self mainatance ideas, etc. I only wish we had given up on our previous provider and discovered AAA Full Line Pool Service sooner. They are so good with customer relationships. They always take the time to explain in great detail the service they have provided. They have taught us much about the way the pool operates - questions the previous provider didn't have time for. I highly recommend AAA Full Line Pool Service.

    Crystal Pool Services
They are great. I came to know about them from word of mouth from my friend. I stopped using my previous pool company, as they had 35 lawsuits against them and did a lot of damage at my house. I would never recommend them to anybody else, as they were nothing but trouble. Ms. McMenamy is the main person working for Crystal Pool Services who pretty much handles the customers through letters. They come out twice a year or if there is a problem. They open and close my pool every year. They take care of any problems that might have occurred over the seasons whether it?s related to winter or whether it?s related to use during the summer. They are comparatively priced. They are extremely easy to communicate with. They will come back to fix anything that goes wrong. They don?t mind coming back many times to fix it without making any fuss like how my other pool guy used to do. They have never done any damage to my property. You feel like talking to your big brother when you talk to them. They can trouble shoot things over the phone. I live in Glenview, which is about 40 miles from where their company is located. They will come out and fix the problem for you. I can say many good things about them. I needed a diving board because there was a storm that damaged our diving board. They will come out and inform us honestly that they would be able to get whatever we need, but it would cost twice as much. They give us suggestions to go online and try out different companies. They have also told me that they would install it for me once the item is delivered to my house with minimal fee to install it. They will also adjust it with another job so that you don?t have to pay extra service charge. It?s a family run business and they are wonderful. They are 3 brothers who run the company. The price that they charge depends upon the type of work. They charge 485 $ for a standard in-ground pool. They will acid wash your filters. They will also tell you how to do it and you don?t have to have it done which is about 135 $. The charges for opening a pool are comparable. They have separate charges for spa. They also charge for filling lines which is very minimal and is about 35 $. I have no complains about them. They are on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to my previous pool company. I have recommended them to others as well. I am going to use their services until we move away from this house.

    Carefree Pools Inc
They are usually out the same day or when we schedule them a few days out. Not much of a time frame for their arrival, but they'll work with the times we give them. The guys are friendly, quiet and clean up well after their work is done.
