    Ferravit Remodeling
I am very satisfied with the service from Ferravit Remodeling. They installed siding on my garage for a fraction of the cost for a new construction and it looks fantastic. The skilled technicians are punctual, hard working with attention to detail.

    Anaya and Sons Fence Company
Sergio was very personable and professional. He provided an estimate within a day or 2 of coming out to our house for the initial consult. Ours was a big job and challenging due to the rolling gate we wanted. He didn't bat an eye. Our fence looks beautiful and if we need these type of services in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

    Economy Fence Inc
Economy Fence was responsive when we called for the quote, and seemed clear in explaining what work would be performed. Rich suggested a novel arrangement for the chain link gate, which works for us and saved some money.  We chose Economy Fence over another slightly less expensive provider because Economy Fence had less of a backlog.
We put in our deposit and applied for the village permit.  Once we had the permit, we called to schedule the installation and the person answering the phone was rude and unaware they had our deposit.
They arrived later than scheduled to start the work, when I had taken time off work to be home.
We knew the installation would be two days, and thought they would be consecutive, but it wasn't until the first day of work that they explained that the chain link gate would be fabricated after posts were set, so the rest of the install was dependent on the fabricator's schedule. We had to keep calling to check when the work would be done.
The quality and appearance of the wood fence is generally excellent, and when they encountered some unexpected underground concrete near a utility pole, they adjusted their pole layout on the spot to work around it, and the end result still looks like it was planned. The installers who came the second day apparently didn't get the instructions I had given to the first day's crew, and so didn't finish the end of the wood span quite the way I had asked..
Unfortunately they did a sloppy job placing the concrete around the posts, and left a lot of cement on the posts above grade.
We're a bit disappointed with the chain link.  We purchased black vinyl covered fabric, and prefinished black posts with the gate painted to match.  The posts were scuffed during installation and show large vertical scratches still visible after cleaning.  The paint on the gate started chipping almost immediately near the latch, and primer is showing.
The weather had been wet, so the installers understandably got muddy shoes, but they cleaned them off on the stone edging of our garden beds.  They sprayed our trash can and one of our shrubs (nowhere near the work) with the spray paint used to mark layout (?!?).  Some metal scraps from the chain link were left in the yard.

Went very well. They showed up when they said they would and started right away. Kept the area clean of debris and finished on the second day taking all debris with them and cleaning up before they left.

    Affordable Tuckpointing Pros LLC
After purchasing the deal from Angie's List, I made contact with the company to schedule the service for $150 worth of tuckpointing.  The person who handles the scheduling was always polite, but scheduling the service proved a little bit of a challenge.  After a bit of phone tag, a delay in responses to e-mails / voicemails, and the need for me to sign a document which provided a description of service at $0 (a formality, it seemed), I finally secured a Saturday appointment.
When the window of arrival came and went beyond the outside estimated time, I called the company to inquire where the tuckpointers were. I was surprised there was no proactive effort to indicate a late arrival time.  Some delay held them up but they were on their way.  They were about 45 minutes late, but the two workers arrived, apologized and began to assess the locations of the tuckpointing.  Because $150 won't get you a whole wall, I had some specific places of focus selected, and they were responsive to my requests.  They filled cracks in the facade with a color-matching caulk or sealer, and tuckpointed several locations around the house, addressing the worst areas.  Gaps around bricks that were broken along edges or between separated window ledges, brickwork separated near expanding lintels, and other requested places were filled.
Overall they did a good job in-line with a discounted price.  They were there for about 3 hours, plus a little extra time to explan that this was a patch but not a solution and to offer several different options for longer to solutions.  The suggestions with ballpark estimates were much appreciated.

    GMART Inc
Gregory gave me very good, competitive price. The work started right on time. Gregory had a few suggestions for the job, that were very good. There were three workers, including Gregory. They complete my job in a minimum amount of time. GMart's  workmanship was excellent. I would definitely hire Gmart again. In fact, I am thinking on replacing my windows in the near future; and will definitely give Gmart a call.

From the very Start, I had a good feeling about this company

Greg and his crew were very professional during the work preformed at my home. I called to get a quote and Greg showed up on time and was very informative. We walk thru the scope and he'd pointed out some things that needed to be done.

This was a very pleasant process and I will definitely call him for future projects.

    Cahill Building
Cahill was very professional when drawing up proposals. They addressed all our questions right away. Their employees were very respectful and professional. They were punctual and finished the project on time. Martin Cahill (owner) came to inspect the job site to see that everything was going well. We were so amazed that the owner would take time to inspect a project. We appreciate doing work with Festus as well. He was very patient in answering all our concerns. We look forward to working in the future with Cahill and Festus!

    European Ornamental Iron Works
They have a very large building and location. They have many piece of ornamental works standing up against their building. You can see their workmanship from the road. I am very happy with their work. The owner of the company recommended the design of my overhead garage, and they did the work right there. I recommend them highly.

    Signature Painting Inc
Company owner came out to the house to evaluate the time it would take to complete the job from beginning to end.  He quoted 52 hours.  Since we did not want to pay beyond the $999 (40 hours) contracted for, and we asked them to complete all the prep work and priming, then paint as far as they could go within the 40 hours allotted.  Contractor agreed.

The company owner and Henry showed up on Day 1 to powerwash the house.  Henry was then our painter for the remainder of the week, and we were lucky to have him.  His painting skills were excellent, and he did a beautiful job for us.  He also arrived early every day, kept us informed about the progress and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day.  He understood that we would be finishing the job ourselves, so he made sure we understood what needed to be done, and gave us advice on good painting techniques to finish the job satisfactorily.

In addition, the company owner said that we could use a particular paint company to purchase our paint and get his contractor's discount of 20%.  The paint company could not give us the exact paint the contractor told us to purchase and substituted with an equivalent, more expensive paint.  When Henry saw it, he said this was not an equivalent and the house would end up looking like a shiny, tin can.  We explained this to the company owner, and he contacted the paint company immediately.  He was able to come up with a true equivalent, and less expensive, product for us.  We were able to return the paint for a full refund and exchange.  We were very pleased.
