Daniel took such good care of my moms bathroom project and stayed in constant contact with me (her son) and always felt secure in an honest and trusting relationship. Never a doubt as to what was happening even though I am 40 miles away.

I just recently had a well test done by the licensed sanitarian at John A. Raber & Associates, Inc.. The water was tested at our outside spigot. I did not witness the test but I went into the house for a couple of minutes and came back and he was gone. I went onto the Illinois Department of Public Health web site to review sampling guidelines and there it stated NOT to sample from an outside spigot due to likely contaminants, and to instead sample from a frequently used indoor faucet. The guidelines also say that there should be an immediate re-sample if the test comes back positive for bacteria. The sample results came back positive for coliforms. Because I am selling my home and time was important I obtained 2 sample collection bottles and sampled at an indoor faucet and at the well. Both samples came back negative. The Raber report suggested immediate chlorination of the well and NOT a resample. I called the Raber sanitarian to discuss and was told they do not follow the public health guidelines I read because they have more experience than public health so they do it their own way. He also stated they have done more research on sampling methods than the federal agencies that oversee this process. They also find that it is easier for people to chlorinate their well rather than wait for another sample which is why they suggest not resample. He said he was happy to sample again but at a cost to me. Chlorinating a well is the last solution in national and state guidelines as it is first important to get the results from a well collected sample so that, if positive, once can try and address the contamination issue first prior to chlorination. I find it appalling that this sanitarian/company do not follow public health or EPA guidelines and actually say they know more than these agencies. EPA states: If a problem is detected, immediate retesting requirements go into effect along with strict instructions about how to inform the public. Until the system can reliably demonstrate that it is free of problems, the retesting is continued. Raber/this company disregards the EPA, the IDPH, CDC and USGS guidelines for water collection. I can only imagine what they do in the rest of their business.

    All Pro Plumbing Inc
Called All Pro because dishwasher was not draining. They sent a plumber out and he rodded the sink. The dishwasher is still holding water and they will not go out to fix the problem they were originally contracted for. Called to see if they could come out again since the problem was not resolved and the receptionist said she would call back later that day. One week later still no call, Called again and spoke to the owner, Mike and he said that because they did some work, even though it did not fix the problem, they would not go out and look at it again. We paid $225 dollars to All Pro and still have the problem. Very unprofessional and only care about getting their money, not fixing what they said they would. Waste of time and money.

We would hire Steve again for work around the house. Very trustworthy, honest and professional. Steve goes out of his way to be accommodating. We trust him to work on our house when no one is home. He even let our cats out of their room at the end of the day when he was finished working at our house when we could not be home.

With the exception of a little miscommunication on price everything went good. Was told price over the phone was $149 for rodding but that was for outside access. Due to having to come inside cost was a little higher. Gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable. Made sure job was done correctly and offered advice with future recommendations. Would use again for sure. Use of line camera enabled you to see the issues on the spot which was key.

The crew arrived early and promptly went to work. there was a lot of debris that they disposed of and kept the dust to a minimum. the job took about two days . I was very impressed with the workmanship and very pleased with the end result. Due to unforeseen problems that were initially hidden and needed to be taken care of the cost was a little more than I expected . otherwise I am pleased with the result.

    Lifeline Plumbing Heating & Cooling
Awesome. Lenny called before he came. He was running ahead of schedule and was going to be early. When I told him we were out running errands based on the previously-reported time window and might be a few minutes late, he was very pleasant and told us not to worry about it. He performed the work quickly and cleanly, and even gave us a few maintenance pointers.

Theresa is FANTASTIC on the personable and helpful.  Billy got here this morning right when they said they would.  I explained the issues and he found the culprit which had to do with my water softener!
He also had to take out the shower valve in the guest bathroom and get it working so it would accommodate cold and hot water.
I felt completely comfortable with him and Luis.  They kept me apprised of everything and I have now found a new plumber for every single need that arises.
They are FANTASTIC.   Call them, you will not be sorry!

    GR General Contracting

Owner is very personable up front and says exactly what you need to hear to get his contract signed.  Beware . . . anything not specified in the contract and I mean to the last detail, even if promised, described, agreed or otherwise stated orally (or even what you would consider expected) . . . may not come to pass.

The contract was vague and when it came to details discussed (some ad nauseum - seriously) the contractor miraculously forgot or insisted I had changed my mind or stated the items were never discussed.  Classic bait and switch tactics and of course, it's all me making things up or being generally difficult (for the record I own a very old home and have used the same plumber, electrician and recently a hardscapes contractor multiple times with no issues).

On top of the contractual issues, guys don't show up for the job, regularly leave the job site on errands or one guy shows up for the entire day - huge safety issue in my world not to mention a one week job turned into four.  Not surprising when one guy is trying to build a 140 square foot covered porch.

I had a detailed quote from another GC that this one agreed to 'match' - not only did he not match the specs or price but even the work he did is incomplete - no caulking of seams where you would expect, somewhat questionable trim work. This GC wants to sell but not do the project or people management required to complete the job timely and in line with expectations.

His staff is great - talented, customer-service oriented, polite.  But they can't fight the boss and are stuck in the middle.

Scott is a great guy. Came out personally and early to give me the rest of my day. High quality workmanship and professionalism. Had to replace the pipe in a very tight and confined space. They did an excellent job.
