    DTG Services, LLC
They did an amazing job with everything. It's really hard to find people that take pride in their work and go that extra mile to do a great job. I would highly recommend DTG and will be using them again. My doors look amazing the light fixture was installed exactly how we asked and they even came up with a better solution for our bathroom. This saved us a lot of time and also looks great.

Daniel took such good care of my moms bathroom project and stayed in constant contact with me (her son) and always felt secure in an honest and trusting relationship. Never a doubt as to what was happening even though I am 40 miles away.

Moved into a new place and Im doing one room at a time. Bathroom needed to be done first and I hired Kevin to install a new toilet, vanity, etc and he did an amazing job. Everything looks super clean, work was done quickly, and the edges around my vanity are nice, neat, and tight. I will 100% hire again to do my kitchen and living room when Im able to get it all done.

Greg Morris @ GNL Flooring Etc
Greg was FANTASTIC from start to finish and we will be using him again for our other two bathrooms next month.  Greg was professional, timely and he is a perfectionist.  We just moved to the Fallbrook area from Illinois and bought a home that needs remodeling.  My husband is pretty handy and we thought of doing the work ourselves but we needed help on the shower flooring to ensure no leakage would occur.  I originally called Greg to give me an estimate on just the shower floor.  He came to our house and while he was at the house I asked him for a full quote on the whole project.  I was extremely happy with the Greg's professionalism and price so we contracted Greg to the whole project instead of just the shower floor.  After watching Greg work on the shower and trying to get our crooked house straight I am so thankful we did not take this project on ourselves. He also did extra things that he did not include in his quote such as picking up my stone tile from Oceanside due to the fact I needed a truck which I don't have. I was so comfortable with Greg that I let him work in my house by himself and he would always lock up when he was done.  Greg is an exceptional honest hardworking man and my husband and I are looking forward to seeing how beautiful he makes our next two bathrooms!

    Hi-Line Design, Inc
Our kitchen design/build firm quoted the countertops as part of the project, but it was pricey so we had Hi-Line do the work. Darek was easy to work with, and involved us in all the key decisions. It was challenging to work with our general contractor, since their timing was never certain. But Hi-Line was flexible, and was there when we needed them to do their part. The end result was beautiful - the countertops and backsplash really dress up the kitchen. We plan to use with Hi-Line for future projects.

    DESIGNfirst Builders LLC
We were very satisfied with the end result; we were very unsatisfied with the process. Let us review the positives first. The design was quite good - responsive, good ideas. The design did not change the kitchen's footprint much, but the company made suggestions that created space, improved storage, & dressed things up. The person who helped us choose cabinets, tile, and other design elements was excellent. The end result was very good, and the company's 5-year guarantee on everything is hard to beat.
The process, however, was painful for us. We've been through a complete kitchen remodel before, so we know things go wrong and a construction project is never without problems. In our prior remodel, the job manager was there every day working with us through various issues that came and involving us in the decisions. So we felt like we knew at all times how the project was going, and that someone had ownership (the project manager). D1st used subcontractors extensively, and often they were not adequately supervised. This resulted in some significant mistakes being made, and--after we pointed out these mistakes--at least a couple of weeks of additional time coming back to fix them. We never felt that anyone had ownership of our project. We needed to contact the project manager several times, both to point out issues, and in some cases simply to find out how far along things were (we were not living in the house). Communication was poor, until just before the project was completed and our final payment was due.
We generally give high ratings on this site, and we would like to give D1st a higher rating. As we say, the end result was good, and the design was good. We feel that they would be well-served by having an onsite job manager, versus a roaming project manager who is probably over-worked. Communication during a project is critical - we generally did get responses from the project manager, but it was very re-active, not pro-active. The company does have an online 'Project Status' scheduling tool and timeline -- which was very attractive when we signed on. However, the scheduling portion of this tool was rarely updated, and was sometimes a couple of weeks out-of-date.

    KEVEN METZ
HE INSTALLED THE SHOWER FLOOR IMPROPERLY BECAUSE HE DIDN'T USE ANY WATERPROOFING. NO WATER SHIELD WAS USED AND HE ADMITTED THAT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME HE TRIED TO LAY A SHOWER FLOOR, AFTER FINISHING THE JOB. HE SAID THE INSTALLATION WOULD TAKE 2 WEEKS AND HE WAS HERE ALMOST 3 MONTHS ON AND OFF. HE ALSO HIRED OTHER CONTRACTORS TO COME IN AND DO THE WORK. HE PERSONALLY HAD TO COME BACK AND FIX THE PLUMBING, RESET THE VANITY TOP, AND FIND ANOTHER PERSON TO RE-GROUT THE ENTIRE SHOWER. I STARTED CALLING UNION PROFESSIONALS TO TAKE A LOOK AT MY SHOWER, THEY ALL TOLD ME HOW BAD THE JOB WAS. AT FIRST KEVIN SAID HE WOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIRS, BUT AFTER THAT, WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. KEVIN WOULD NOT ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS, EVEN WHEN I LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES WITH HIS WIFE. REPAIRS INVOLVED REMOVING THE TILE, SHOWER SEAT, CONCRETE FLOOR, AND DUROCK. EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN BACK DOWN TO THE STUDS AND SUB-FLOOR. IT TOOK THE OTHER GUY 5 DAYS TO DEMOLISH, CORRECT KEVIN'S MISTAKES, AND RE-SET EVERYTHING.

They came out for to go over a bathroom design. They provided us with a drawing. It didn’t work out the way I was hoping. However, they said they would come back and redo the design for me.
