AGA CHOTT & ASSOCIATES INCOur family has worked with GA Chott for nearly seven years. Our first project was a full basement completion; most recently we used GA Chott to replace all of our exterior lights and bathroom fans. Darryll is a wealth of knowledge, and very professional. I was most impressed with the mini- project as the original start date had to be pushed back. Darryll did an amazing job of communicating this via email. APURE Home DesignDavid Schneider of Pure Home Design was the best. He designed our kitchen and was involved in all decisions regarding appliances, flooring, lighting etc. David was on site everyday to oversee the work. His attention to detail is amazing. ABirkenmeier & Sons IncI have a 3 seasons porch that was getting mold on the inside. In addition, the base boards were bulging out. I called Al Birkenmeier and Sons to determine what needed to be done and for a quote. Al recommended we demo the porch and rebuild it due to moisture getting in and causing rot. Once the demo began, I realized how correct he was and was surprised to see how rotted the wood was. The project included the demo and rebuild. In addition, we replaced the outside door, outside light, and on my request replaced the ceiling fan and the inside window that looked out onto the porch. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The rebuild looks so much better than the original porch. I am so pleased with it. I had no idea who to call for this job and am so happy with my decision to contract with Al. I highly recommend him.- Jan T.

AMr. Handyman Metro EastBob came out and provided an estimate which included options for completing the work. Once the work was scheduled he arrived on time and courteous, as usual. New security light of our choosing was installed in our backyard and a GFI outlet were installed in the garage in under an hour. We have used Mr. Handyman Metro East for several projects at our home and continue to use them because of their professionalism, value and customer focus.- William M.

AExceptional ElectricI found Exceptional Electric through Angie's list, and found the process of scheduling a bid super easy. Rich, the owner, came by the house and was prompt. He listened to understand the scope of the project, documented the requirements, and took pictures of the areas where work was to be performed. There were a couple of items on my list that Rich said I could easily correct myself, which I felt comfortable doing, and told me he'd be happy to do it but I'd save myself a little bit of extra money by fixing the issue myself, and he was right. He was honest in his assessment of the work I was asking to do, and I felt my best interests were top of mind. I was sent a bid in a timely manner, and any questions or amendments I had were quickly addressed. On the day the work was scheduled, Rich came with his electrician, Greg. You can tell that Rich and Greg reviewed the game plan ahead of arriving at the house as it was clear Greg had reviewed the pictures ahead of time. You can see that Greg had already been thinking through a game plan, and before any work was done, Rich and Greg wanted to ensure that they understood my asks and that we all were on the same page. Greg got to work and was exceptional. We really enjoyed having Greg here at the house, and he treated our home as if it were his own. Greg cleaned up after everything, and the quality of work was top notch. While this was during Covid, Greg wore his mask the entire time. I'd highly recommend Exceptional Electric. Their prices are fair, and the quality of work was very good. Greg had to make multiple cuts into our drywall and everything was reinstalled flush such that re-taping and mudding won't be a problem at all. A+ I submitted some pictures of the work, notably the install of the additional recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. I also wanted to show the drywall work and how much care was taken to ensure we can have it repaired with ease. Not pictured is the work we had done in the garage but those were just outlet installs though that was no small task as a lot of work was done there.- Kris R.

AI was amazed how quickly they responded on one of the coldest, nastiest days Granite City had had in a long time. I was concerned that the appointment had been scheduled for 3:30, but they came out about 2:15 that afternoon. There was a moment of confusion when the service man went to my home address instead of my daughter's house, which was where the repairs took place, but I was able to lead him to her house. Once he diagnosed the problems, it was repaired in less than an hour, enabling me to pick up my grandchildren from school and day care with no disruption to the rest of my day. I would strongly recommend Jarvis Electric to anyone in the future!

AWhen our new dishwasher was delivered, the plumber informed us that our electric wasn't up to code so he couldn't install. Desperate for an electrician, we called Streib and they had someone to us within the hour. Carson was professional and wore a mask the whole time. We will definitely use again.
