    Well it's funny because they have a certain criteria that they use before they come out. So, I end up paying like $50 every time they come out and plow. It doesn't snow a lot but it snows often. It's not on call, so they get to it when they get to it. I don't call them they just show up. They are out at all hours of the night, when it snows a lot. I think they need more vehicles. They do every single person in my neighborhood. They are extremely popular. I don't think they have enough vehicles to cover all the people. Sometimes they would plow once a day when you really need it three times a day.

    There are some things they are good, but they are not necessarily consistent. It is a mix of somethings they do and I think if I didn't need to prompt them, they would get "A's" if I didn't have to prompt them for things they should of seen or done.

    Raeke Lawncare arrived for the $70 lawn aeration special in about a week.  They do aeration days every week or so in the mid season.  I arrived when they were just leaving. The job they did was excellent.  They pointed out where they aerated, and also mulched and seeded in some spots where necessary.  They did an awesome job and am looking forward to hiring them again.

    The response to my purchase was quick.  Nothing else was.  The final result was great but the process was so unpleasant that I would not recommend them to anyone.  
    On 5/31 we agreed that they would start the job on 6/16. I told him not to start the work until we met.  After numerous ?agreed-upon? start dates came and went, I told and texted John that he should not come to my house until we talked.  I came from work on 8/5 to find my front walk broken to pieces and there was no access to my front door or mailbox for nearly two weeks.  The postal carrier refused to deliver mail during that period.  In spite of explaining exactly what I wanted the crew to do and provided a drawing to John, the crew came unexpectedly and started doing the wrong thing.  I had to miss work, again, waiting for them and John to arrive.  John never arrived so I explained what they needed to do.  The crew had to tear out the pavers and remove the base and start again.  The work they did was very good.
    John tried to renegotiate the price AGAIN although he?d already increased the quote due to an unexplained difference in the price of materials and the number of pavers needed.

    We bought the cleanup deal and scheduled the afternoon of May 18.  That afternoon came and went and no word from Raeke's.  No one showed up, no one called, no one messaged us.  That evening I wrote them and said that we were not happy.  As we told them, we understand that things happen and that it sometimes may be impossible to honor an earlier commitment.  But that nothing excuses a failure to communicate.  There was--and is--no good reason that someone cannot take five minutes to call and explain and to reschedule.  To their credit, they replied promptly, apologized, and promised to arrive the next day.  I asked them to please either call or text my wife so she would know when to expect them.
    They did.  She received a text and soon thereafter three men showed.  Since the deal was two men for an hour, three was more than we bargained--or paid--for.  They appeared to do good work and so my wife agreed to let them finish the yard by agreeing to hire them for another hour, the amount of time they projected it would take.  Since there were three of them, it took less than that and so she paid an additional $60 instead of another $70.  After they left, we looked at the yard more carefully.  By and large, the work was good.  Unfortunately, it seems that certain areas were completely ignored, however, and more than a few plants were trampled in the process (mostly, we suspect, from overzealous raking).  The plants will recover but it would have been nice for the problem not to have happened.  As to the areas where no work appears to have been done, we can't understand or explain.
    Where they did do their work, the work was very good and an excellent deal for the price.  Given the quality of their work, we would consider hiring them again.

    Miguel (of Century) stands alone as someone who answers his phone and keeps his promises. He was swamped, like everyone was after the snowfall, with his regular contract clients. But, he said he'd fit me in and he did. I will use his services after the next big storm. And, I will follow his good advice and call ahead of time, when the forecast threatens.

    The first visit was OK. The crew arrived for a spring clean up as soon as the first nice day of spring appeared.  I was very happy that they did arrive without me having to initiate anything, etc. The clean up was all right but they did not rake up dead grass/clippings that had been packed down from a long fall and winter and as a result no grass came up in those spots (on a lawn that grass grows very easily.) Also, the edged one side of the backyard bordering the flower beds, but not the other. The second visit was poor. The edging along the sidewalk entry to our house looked horrible and like they hacked into it very unevenly (and I am not very picky about things like this, but it was so obviously bad.) Again, they edged one side of the backyard along flower bed and not the other. They did not trim grass between stepping stones, so it looks like wild weeds in between them. They did not move a light coffee table in the backyard so there are 2' of grass growing under it.  Also, patio rocks--previous lamdscapers would remove moss and weeds, but not these guys. Looks horrible.  When I called to complain about the situation, I was promised another crew who was much more experienced.  Instead, they skipped my house the following week. Right now my lawn looks like it was long wild grass and weeds growing everywhere like we are an abandoned house on a very nice block. It is glaringly unkempt in a neighborhood where people have meticulously cared-for lawns. (Additionally, I had wanted them to seed or sod a bare patch in front due to a sewer issue this winter. The weeks upon weeks that this uneven bare patch remains.) I called again and John did promise to come here personally on Thursday to walk through some things while his crew was here. I was disappointed that we could be first on the docket of the week, thus Monday, since they blew us off last week and I have had issues. I have called to see if they can instead come today (Tuesday) or Wednesday. He said he would try for today. We will see if they show up. I am going out of my way to write this now as I previously gave them the benefit of the doubt and thus an "A" rating. Not an "A" rating so far. I will revise rating if things turn around. PS: I would mow this myself at this point as the lawn is very embarrassing, but our lawn mower is broken....

    The company sent a truck w/3 workers and equipment within 30 minutes of my call. We had more than 6 inches of snow. The person we hired had not shown up for days.

    I was very grateful, because my husband is ill and cannot do it himself any more.

    I have hired them for the winter. Their regular price is $60 for a drive this size, but they graciously offered me a 50% discount for the first time.

    They answered our call right away, were here within 20 minutes (granted they were in my neighborhood at the time)
    and plowed our alley after about 8 inches snowfall.  They got the job done quickly and to our needs.  We will definitely use them again! Great job !!

    They are a very responsible company. They have very good customer service; for example, I am having an issue with my front yard. I e-mailed the owner and he got right back to me and said he would come out and take a look at it.
