    I needed to redo a kitchen with custom cabinets due to all the details that I wanted to incorporate into the kitchen. This kitchen could not have been done with semi-custom cabinets due to the very detailed and specific way we wanted the kitchen to function. Luis helped come up with the perfect solution for the job - including so many ingenuitive ideas such as a paper towel holder integrated into the cabinet with storage for other rolls in the back and usb/electrical ports inside drawers. He put together a set of shop drawings that were extremely detailed. The finished project was exceptional. I highly recommend New Era woodworks to anyone wanting custom cabinets or furniture.

    We ordered a sectional sofa on December 3, 2017. Despite being assured that the items would ship on 2/8/18, I emailed to confirm in early January. Mona promptly replied that yes, everything would arrive on time. A few days later, I received a form email from Adam- the salesperson who helped us & encouraged us to order early - saying that the sofa would be delayed until at least 2/22. After many emails and a lengthy phone call, Adam and his manager Pam said they could give us 10% off THE DELAYED PIECES ONLY...WHAT????!!!! So...we paid for an entire couch over 2 months ago, the entire couch will be arriving late, but we are being offered 10% off of 2 of the 5 pieces. We requested 10% off of the whole order and were informed that Adam & his managers consider their offer to be quite fair. No one at Room and Board has taken any responsibility for this mess. They keep repeating the new delivery date - yet they admit when questioned that it could, in fact, be delayed further. They give excuses about the warehouse from which the couch comes from and repeatedly explain that "this is just how it is with custom upholstery". That is garbage. Nowhere in the email receipt or online does it say anything about how it can be delayed without consequence to them. It clearly states the "expected" (not estimated) date of delivery. Adam likes to say a lot of different things (like it would be different if we had ordered in the store), then backtrack when we bring up the e-mail he sent in December saying ordering online is exactly the same. When pressed for details on why they were originally offering nothing for missing their delivery date, and why he was making things up about the ordering process, he simply told me to calm down. So helpful. Moral of the story: Room & Board does not care at all about their customer service or delivery service. They make the delivery date sound ironclad, then shirk responsibility when they miss it. Room & Board clearly does not care about its customers and thinks that "oh well" is an acceptable response to an indefinite delay on expensive items. Let's not forget that they take payment up front - so they're good to go even when you don't have your furniture 3+ months later. Purchase at your own risk and ignore the expected delivery date. It is a deceptive marketing ploy, rather than reliable information about your item.

    He did an excellent job! This sofa has been cleaned countless times, but this cleaning may have been the best yet. One thing to be aware of is how wet the cushions will be after cleaning. It took about 24 hours for everything to dry. The cushions need to be separated to dry properly especially during hot humid weather. Air conditioning and couple of fans help as well.

    Ms. Westling was fantastic. She arrived right on time, was intelligent, personable, and calm--and best of all she tuned the piano to perfection. I recommend her highly, and will absolutely ask her to come back when the piano needs tuning again. But it still sounds great!

    They're very nice and very like low pressure. Their prices are pretty good. We just, I don't know, for whatever reason, we just haven't ever ended up using them. We didn't end up having that runner installed on the stairs, so it's not like we went with another company instead of them. I thought their quote was reasonable. They're nice, they're a family run company, prompt responsiveness. Their price was pretty good.

    Excellent! We were afraid the seam would be visible after the repair but it seemed so much less expensive than replacing the sectional. Not on did Sue repair the tear but the seam is invisible. Once we vacuumed the area, it looked perfect!

    Asked for an estimate on refinishing my table top, and they quoted additional outrageouscost to the Angie's list deal. Didn't return calls, and were generally very slow with turning their quotes around. Very unprofessional.

    I was very impressed by Kevin's Piano Moving Inc. He sent a team of three to move my full upright piano. They called 20 minutes before they arrived. They were great at communicating. They outlined the disassembly and move prior to starting. Phil, Alan, and Justin (one of Kevin's team of movers) were great at handling the move. They did an absolutely amazing job. It was a very tight and difficult move up two flights of stairs, but they kept me informed throughout the whole process and didn't damage anything. They were very professional and showed a great deal of skill in navigating the move. The price was very fair and I was amazed by how quickly and smoothly the move went. I would definitely recommend Kevin's Piano Moving and will use them if I ever need to move a piano again.

    to Nathan was absolutely amazing.  So knowledgeable, patient, reassuring, caring, and a wonderful communicator. He gave me all the time I needed on the phone, and fully and compassionately answered all of my questions.  He never rushed me at all.  He treated me like I was the most important person in the world! I never expected that kind of service on the phone, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon when the store was having a big sale. I am a senior, I don't drive, and would not have been able to go to the store in person, so this meant so much to me.  Nathan also told me his schedule for the weekend, so that I could call him back later as needed.  I told him I would call him back after the repairmen left, to tell him whether or not I needed to buy the refrigerator, and to buy it from him if I did need one.  As it turned out the repairmen (from Chicago Appliance Service Co.) were able to fix my refrigerator!  So I did not have to buy a new one.  I called Nathan back and left him a message telling him I did not need a new refrigerator after all, but thanking him profusely for his help, and telling him that when I did need a new refrigerator, I would absolutely buy it from him.  I also told him, on my message, that I was going to put a review on Angies list about ABT and him.  What a wonderful experience!  If I hear of anybody who needs to buy an appliance, I will tell them about ABT and Nathan.  In your question on the survey about where the service was performed, I answered that I went to provider's location, but I did not go.  This was all done on the phone, not in person, but there was no way to answer the question correctly.

    Frank did a fantastic job of redoing my Vintage furniture.  The best thing about him is that he really listens to you so you get what you want.  Since he listens to you, he also makes suggestions that you can go with or keep it your own way.  He has a good eye for color combos which most people would think is common for his business but it's not.  He also knows his designers so when you're looking for a specifc color, he pulls out the right book.  he also asks your budget so he's won't push more expensive options than you're willing to pay for.   
    1940s chair - Frank used my barkcloth curtain for the floral.  he suggested the corresponding beige and blue trim and it worked!!
    1950s club chiar - still very comfy but now the color and fabric choices pop!  He also made a small storage ottoman to match 
    1960s chaise - Frank made it look exactly like the original - every detail.  The thicker rope on the pillows is the same width as another Vintage 60s pillow i brought as an example.
    1940s slipper chair to match the 1960s chaise.  it was reupholstered like the original:  floral on the seat and front, the bottom front and the back was a solid color.  
    every room that has this furniture in my house is now just beautiful.  THANKS!  Frank and his team are an extremely talented group.  You can see how busy they are when you see how many peices of furniture they have in the front of the shop.
