    New Era Woodworks
I needed to redo a kitchen with custom cabinets due to all the details that I wanted to incorporate into the kitchen. This kitchen could not have been done with semi-custom cabinets due to the very detailed and specific way we wanted the kitchen to function. Luis helped come up with the perfect solution for the job - including so many ingenuitive ideas such as a paper towel holder integrated into the cabinet with storage for other rolls in the back and usb/electrical ports inside drawers. He put together a set of shop drawings that were extremely detailed. The finished project was exceptional. I highly recommend New Era woodworks to anyone wanting custom cabinets or furniture.

    J & J Custom Woodworking
The quality was good and the price was reasonable. What I am upset by is that at the end of the job, there were some things that needed to be fixed. Jack came out to look at what needed to be done and said he would come the following weekend. He then stopped answering my phone calls. It has been 4 months since I have spoken to him and have tried to call him a bunch of times. I never get a call back or anything. I have already paid for the job, so I can't do much now. I'm very disappointed because I would have wanted to give them a favorable review.

    4Ever Remodeling
Better than we imagined. 4Ever was on time or even early. They performed the work to the highest standard. They cleaned up EVERY DAY AFTER WORK. They finished the job time. I especially recommend hiring Madja who worked as a project manager, was always available and insured that the job went smoothly

Tom Horn Remodeling, Woodworking, & Carpentry
My wife and I could not be more pleased with the results of the project and Tom's professionalism.  Throughout the project he was responsive and punctual and he had creative ideas and the ability to fulfill them to make the project turn out as best as it could. His work was excellent and the cabinets and wine rack look and fit terrific.

Tom Horn Remodeling, Woodworking, & Carpentry
As with any project, so much rests on proper planning, and having the right tools for the job.  And being prepared for surprises, especially with older homes like ours.  This project came out beautifully, because all those factors wer properly anticipated.
Have others been surprised lately by workers who don't have the right tools, or worse, ask to borrow yours?  I've had this happen on a couple of other jobs.  It was infuriating.
To install this trellis properly took a wide array of tools, all supplied and used by Tom Horn, who is a master carpenter in addition to his contracting, and other skills.  I found it interesting that he even uses some of his grandfather's old specialty tools, all kept in working order.  To cut the old trellis down into manageable pieces, he used a tool calls a SawsAll.  Then, he had to dig out the old post holes.  For this he used his grandfather's hydraulic bottle jack.  We found the new trellis would require holes wider apart than the old one.  These needed both regular handle and twist style post hold diggers, to auger holes for the new posts.  And then came the surprise.  Under the new holes were a bunch of old rocks, concrete, and roots.  That took an air chisel to break up the concrete hunks.  Finally he could cut the new posts to the right length.  He had a skil saw for that, and was able to do it right on the job.  This trellis required extra careful leveling, since it is a real showpiece for the house.  He had a specialty laser level that ensured each post was at the exact height.  Some of the work was just backbreaking soil removal, and filling the postholes with tightly packed soil.  Wheel barrel, shovels....he had them all.  As he began to install the pieces, he predrilled all the holes.  Finally, trim was appied with a compressor and trim nailer.
I noted this list of tools to show how important it is to have the right equipment.  When the old rotten trellis was installed years ago, it took three men a couple of days.  Because Tom had all the right equiprment, he was able to the do the job singlehandedly in a day and a half.  My husband enjoyed watching this whole process from inside our house, and marveled at the efficiency of the job.  We've worked with Tom Horn before, and always been happy with the results....and this shows one of the reasons why projects go so well with him.  BE PREPARED!!..

Scott Treynor was very professional.  He met with us to go over our needs for the project.  He paid attention to the details and put together a proposal.  He is a good communicator and generally prompt in both meetings and delivery.  We wanted a written contract and permits, and he was reasonable in negotiating all of that.  He kept us informed about progress throughout the project.  He was responsive when we asked questions.  His work is very good, and the place was completely transformed into an appealing home through his effort.  He was especially considerate about following the rules of the condominium association and making sure that no mess from the unit found its way into the hallway.  This project went pretty smoothly.  There were just a couple of problems to solve along the way, and Scott was reasonable in working through them with us.  It was a pleasure to work with this business, and we intend to hire them again in the future.

    Neighborhood Remodelers
From the get go, I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism of Neighborood Remodelers. From the first meeting with Luke, to every contact with the office staff, to working directly with Bill (my project manager) and his team (Wesley and Derek); I came to expect consistent communication, punctuality, quality work, and honesty. The initial estimate was very close to the final price and Bill clearly communicated when the project or the fixures I chose deviated from that. The guys were incredibly careful when mvoing through the house, doing the most thorough floor and stair papering job I'd ever seen. A friend of mine who is a painter was amazed at their cleanliness and the way in which they took care of the space!
Additionally, the bathroom itself is gorgeous, and better than I could have hoped. The work is incredibly high quality, and the labor warranty Neighborhood Remodelers offers reassures me that if anything were to pop up, they'd guarantee their work.
This was my first major renovation project, and while there were typical delays in ordering parts and small frustrations, I experienced none of the hair-greying issues friends and family described, and I attribute the smooth process largely to Neghborhood Remodelers--especially Bill.

Craig was great to work with.  From when he came out to quote to instal I dealt directly with Craig, which is great.  At the quote visit he measured, offered some suggestions, and I knew then he was who I would use for the project (I had gotten another quote.)  After product came in he was back out for the week of installation where he worked diligently and politely. After the last day a few things were off which he proactively said he would be back to fix and he did, with the same professionalism.  I came back midway through project with a few things I wanted fix, including adjusting all the crown trim out as the spacing didnt look right and Craig willingly accommodated without complaint.  Great to work with a definitely recommend.   My only two note - Scheduling was hard, much only the fault of the holidays (including my own holiday travel) but get on calendar early if you have deadline you are targeting.  2 - With trims where there will be a seam, talk before the project starts about the location on that seam.  I didnt and they ended up not where I would have preferred, but this was my fault for not talking about early. I can happily live with them, but just leave that note if you are new to the cabinet refacing area.

    Harmonious Decorating & Remodeling Inc
Mr. Cornel ( project manager) came out and went over the detail of the bathroom remodel  project; he made me feel very comfortable. Being the first time I ever went through Angie List, I was a bit weary because the deal was too cute. Two days later the work began. Raul  and Qaun was prompt, polite and very respectful.  They came and demolished everything...  tub, sink, toilet, floor and tile. They then completely replaced.  I wanted a bigger tub then one the stores had available to me, so Mr. Cornel took extra step to find me the tub I wanted. I'm so grateful for him. Raul and Quan also painted and put boarder around the base of the bathroom. There was a medicine cabinet,  vanity light and ceiling fan installed.  I'm so very happy they did an awesome job.  I would recommend them to everyone and most definitely use them again.

Outstanding finished product, with the ingenuity to swap locations of our sink and shower to gain space and a nicer look even though we live in a condominium and the previous contractor couldn't figure out a way to get around the building supply locations we couldn't touch. Photo of job is on contractor's own website.
