    Viello Landscapes, LLC
I hired Viello landscape this year and am very happy with the results. They put all new sod down and did a fantastic job. What's remarkable is that I did not see a spot of dirt on my driveway or side walk after they left. Joe was patient, worked with me and gave good advice. My previous lawn company let me lawn die. I inherited them from the home's previous owner. I had to choose between two lawn care services and I picked Viello in the end b/c they had good reviews on Angie's list also. Viello also mulched, maintained the yard and groomed some of our trees. Next year, we're doing flower beds.

2 teenagers arrived about an hour before the time selected. They had 2 rakes and a leaf blower. They did stay about t 2 hours. They would rake a small pile and than pick them up and put them in a paper lawn bag. My neighbor had a lawn crew start at about the same time with 4 workmen and they stayed about an hour. When they where done all leaves where gone, the grass was mowed, the beds were cleaned and plants were cut back. This was the service I thought I was getting. The boys would rake and than stop and I have leaves everywhere on the lawn and in my planting beds. The promotion said leaf pick up, mowing and trimming bushes. They didn't even bring equipment to do mowing or trimming. They didn't seem to know what they were doing or accomplish the task of even getting the leaves. I spent Sunday blowing leaves and mowing the lawn. I called and emailed the company a picture of the leaves still in the flower beds after the boys left on Wednesday and they didn't answer or get back to me.

    Ross & Jack's Landscaping Inc

My husband and I were looking to have some landscaping done when we looked on Angie's list and found Ross and Jack's. We liked what we read on Angie's List so we hit the "Contact Us' button on the website and filled out the form with our contact information. Five minutes later Mark Seraphin called us.  From our first contact with Mark when he came to our house until the time when the job was completed we were so pleased with their professionalism. After looking over our property, Mark suggested that we set up an appointment with the General Manager,  Mike Spatola. We called Mike and set up the appointment which was immediately confirmed via email along with an email appointment reminder.  He drew up landscaping plans and had them to us very quickly.  Any time a change was made to the plans the contract was amended and email back to us promptly.  We only had a few items we wanted tweaked and he did just as we asked.  If there was a reason why a particular plant should not be in a specific location he let us know.  From the beginning Mike told us his goal was for us to be happy.  They re-purposed many of the plants we already had.  He was very helpful--it was quite obvious that he has a lot of experience and knowledge.  Mike's crew (Francisco, Rogelio, Aurelio and Emilio) were very hard working.  Other than their brief lunch break, they were constantly working--we never saw them just standing around or talking.  They were respectful and did a great job with the planting and cleaning up.  When they were done, any bald patches of grass were filled in, the lawn was cut, trimmed and edged.  We cannot say enough about how pleased we are with our new landscaping and with the entire experience with Ross and Jack's!

I spoke with Tony.  He was very nice and explained what was it would take to get my Dad's lawn back to normal.  He was kind and let me call my Dad and call him back to give him the "ok".  Tony called me when the job was done.
Not only did they do a GREAT JOB but Tony was very kind in understanding that my senior Dad was caring for my Mom outside of his home and expressed well wishes for them.
I am very impressed.  They charge a VERY fair price, very communicative, and do a beautiful job.  Will recommend them and post a shout out to them on my facebook page.

    Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management

We notices a lot of bee activity around some bushes near the sunroom. I had tried to spay them myself, but they were set on staying around. I saw the Angie's List Deal and gave Chem-Wise a call and a few days later Brandon from Chem-Wise called and said he would be arriving on the day we had set up.  After listening to me and seeing the problem for himself, Brandon said that they were yellow jackets and should be no problem to remove. He proceeded to inspect the rest of the outside of the house for more nests and sprayed around the house to prevent future nest. Then he "suited-up" with his beekeeper outfit to take care of the yellow jackets. He dusted around the bushes and brick wall where they were coming from. In just a few seconds, they were swarming around him. After a thorough dusting, Brandon retreated and observed from a distance to be sure the dusting was effective. He explained how it was going to take some time for the dust to work. He suggested that we stay away from the nest for 48 hours and there was no need for him to return to remove the nest. But if they return, we should call and have him come out again for additional no charge.

The yellow jackets were gone as he said and have not returned. We are very happy with the results, and again are enjoying our patio area without the "little friends".

The workers removed the bushes and installed everything in one day.  We've received many complements on the landscaping and it has improved the curb appeal of our house.  All the plantings were healthy and bloomed as promised.  We just hope the harsh winter didn't damage them.  However, everything still looks good.

They got back to me promptly! Very friendly! I would consider using them
in the future. I had a change of plans and I was unable to use them.
But I will try them again for sure!

    Fitzgerald Lawn Care Inc
I ended up needing weekly landscape maintenance because of a recent injury, surgery and lengthy rehab. Unfortunately I still can't push a mower over my uneven yard. When I started calling around everyone was booked and had no room except the big names (tru-green etc..) who wanted exorbitant prices.
Fitzgerald responded promptly, answered all my questione, explained the first visit (kinda hairy because the grass had gotten soo long) and I was on the schedule.
The first visit, they did find the grass to be too high and had to come back the next day (Saturday) to spend more time taking it down a bit before going over it with the mowers. Overall, that cost ended up fairly reasonable ($86). I had one issue with the trim - they ripped holes in some snow fencing I use for my dog pens (mini potty pens) and I have not called about it yet. I ended up just killing off the grass around the pen (which has mulch) so they don't have to trim it and reinforcing the fence. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
The price is very reasonable, I usually get home from work on Mondays to a freshly cut lawn and the charge goes through that night.
    Very happy overall.

    Ross & Jack's Landscaping Inc
Our house?s landscaping had been modest to start with and then suffered 20 years of benign neglect. As a result we had overgrown bushes and trees, non-growing patches of lawn, and an overall mess!  Half of our front walkway and part of our windows were blocked with out-of-control bushes.  In addition, our retaining wall had degenerated into piles of rocks, and our sump pump outlet piping was unsightly and left the backyard wet and muddy much of the time.
We asked Ross & Jack?s for a quote on the following:
    ·
Remove all the old bushes and a couple of minor
    trees
    ·
Start over with new low maintenance landscaping
    ·
    Replace the retaining wall
    ·
Run the sump pump water underground to the
farthest (and lowest) corner of our lot
    ·
Address the sad state of the lawn
Michael Spatola, General Manager of Ross & Jack?s Landscaping, made an appointment to visit us and arrived right on time.  He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and we felt very comfortable working with him.  He had some great ideas which actually saved us a lot of money.  He suggested deconstructing the retaining wall, power washing the stones, and then
rebuilding it, so there was a lot of labor but no materials.  This worked out beautifully.  He also suggested reseeding the lawn
instead of using sod, as he advised that this would provide a better long term solution.  Naturally, it was also far less expensive.
I asked Michael who would supervise the crew and be our contact during the work.  He said he would be personally onsite every day, and he certainly was!  When some minor issues arose, he was extremely responsive and accommodating.
Overall we had about 60 plants installed.  Most impressive are the 10 Arborvitae, which are about 6 feet tall and provide instant privacy and a green backdrop at the back end of our yard.  I wasn?t expecting such substantial plants, but they were just what we needed there.

Our front has new bushes and plants, as well as mulch and decorative stone.  Now we can walk on our sidewalk and look out our windows without difficulty!  Many neighbors have stopped by to say what a nice change it is!
The retaining wall looks beautiful.  This was a huge job for the crew, as it is a long wall, and the stones had to be transported to the other end of the driveway for power washing and then transported back to the wall for careful leveling and re-assembly.
Our sump pump now discharges into a 4 inch solid PVC pipe that runs free-draining underground for about 85 feet to the far end of the yard.  No more unsightly piping in the yard, and no more muddy mess!  Michael also suggested a short underground run from our front gutter downspout to take water there away from the house.  This was a very welcome suggestion, and should ease the work of our sump pump during heavy rains.
Overall we are delighted with the results and have the utmost respect for Michael?s professional advice, integrity, and ability to
deliver as promised.  Ross & Jack?s did a great job for us and delivered good value with no problems or regrets!  I heartily recommend them to others.
