Basement Waterproofing reviews in Elk Grove Village

    The Real Seal LLC
The work was completed in one day. The crew kept at it. My only slight issue was the finish on the concrete was not very professional. It was lumpy, the stones in the mix were at the surface and it doesn't look smooth, but it is an unfinished basement.

The service was 2 years ago and it has held up since then! I was pleased with the pricing. The owner, Austin, was with the crew, which helped the project go smoothly. He was involved and watched the work throughout the service.

    Crack Attack Waterproofing Team
During the torrential rains this spring, we got a little seepage from 3 long basement cracks in utility room adjacent to our family room.  Although we felt lucky to survive despite our ancient sump pump.  We called crack attack for a quote on a new sump pump with battery backup as well as the crack repairs.  Not surprisingly, they were busy with all the flooded basements and could not even set up a quote appointment until more than 6 week out.
We wisely decided to have a plumber install the new sump pump and had Crack Attack quote the crack repairs 6 weeks later.  We just couldn't take the chance with the aged sump pump.  They gave us a decent price to seal the cracks and completed the straightforward job a few days later in just a few hours with 2 workers.
We were disappointed to still see some seepage at the most troublesome crack, but definitely at a reduced leak rate.  While replacing an old gutter extension, which happened to be immediately adjacent to the still seeking crack, we noticed that the extension had a huge hole that dumped copious amounts of water onto a window well next to the crack.  After fixing the gutter extension, the basement is now bone dry, even at the worst crack.
So the Crack Attack sealing probably helped and was a reasonable thing to do, but the root of the problem was the poor gutter diversion.  Lesson:  basement water issues should be carefully inspected from both inside and outside (gutters, grading, etc).

George Colucci and his partner were fantastic to work with. The job completed was a high level of professionalism and competency. Would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone needing this type of work.

Called this morning to have a crack in my finished basement repaired that leaks during heavy rain. I was told the first available appointment is June 25th, which is over a month away. She offered to put me on "standby".  No thanks, I can't just sit around for a month and hope that it doesn't rain. They need to hire more people! Ridiculous.

    Crack Attack Waterproofing Team
Overall, I don't normally give out 5-star ratings however I do feel that Tim and the team at Crack Attack Waterproofing went above beyond what was expected for a crawl space encapsulation project for which they also gave me a lifetime warranty.

Midwest Spray Coatings A Perfect Crawlspace
The benefits of this project will outweigh the costs of this project over my life span in this home. The air quality in my home is already better and it has only been a week!!! I do plan on having the crawlspace spray foam insulated in the very near future for all of its cost benefits! I am the 3rd person on my block to have this work done and I only wish I would have done it much earlier! The work was done by a crew of 6 or 7 and was all completed in one day!! Although this is not one of the more "prettier" projects you will spend money on in your home, it is one that will benefit you throughout your stay in the home and will make the sale of your home much more attractive compared to other homes of the same price range. Very highly recommended!!!

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
Asked for call back from their website. Got a voice mail the next evening saying they were about to close for the day and I should call them. Called back the next afternoon and was on hold for about 15 minutes before I hung up. Business must be good but not good to make a customers wait that long.

Midwest Spray Coatings A Perfect Crawlspace
I met with Brian who discussed the problems we were having with our crawl: cracks, seepage, mold, bad air, bugs, etc. He inspected the crawl and offered the option of plastic only or plastic and concrete encapsulation. He also suggested the closed-cell foam insulation. We are on a tight remodeling budget, but we chose the concrete and plan to have the foam done in the future. The crew arrived one week later and did a fantastic job. How they completed my crawlspace in one day, including the inspection, is a wonder. They did an incredible amount of work, spending the morning cleaning and digging and the afternoon pouring the concrete. One week later, my crawl is clean, dry and offers more storage than I could ever use. We'll be having the spray foam done as soon as we can.
