    Disappointing, but this is wholly my mistake. According to their website, the largest dental insurance provider in the USA is Delta Dental. Dr. Rice does not accept Delta Dental Insurance directly. The Dr's website and Angie's list seemed to indicate that most major insurance providers were accepted. I should have checked with my insurance provider, Delta Dental, before using the coupon from Angie's List for the free first visit. It ends up that I am responsible for all fees from the second visit and not just the amount allowed by the insurance provider. I should have confirmed before the first free visit that Dr Rice was in network. Dr Rice seems to be a very good dentist, but unfortunately not in my employer's insurance network.

    My first visit to Dr. Rice's dental hygienist (Denise) went well. The cleaning procedure was more thorough than I've experienced with other dentists. Denise spent a lot of time educating me on how to use the electric toothbrush and special mouthwash.  She was very knowledgeable - knew about the latest studies on gum disease and how to treat it. I was impressed.

    Dr. Bender and his staff are very good at what they do, very courteous and knowledgeable. Great place to go for your teeth to be worked on or cleaned. I've been going there for years and plan to never stop going.

    They're very professional and very helpful. They're conscientious. He's seasoned. He's been doing this for a long time. He does all kinds of different cosmetic treatments and the whole sphere. His staff is professional. They really treat people like they're people.

    We love him. We are going on Saturday. He has a very laidback personality and is very easy to get along with. He allows enough time for each patient, so he gives appointments for one hour. He does his own cleaning. He doesn’t have a dental technician. He does all the work himself. He is just wonderful. We've been going there for thirty years. He is still a little low tech. He keeps track on paper. With regard to office environment, it's a little bit on the small side. It's very clean and functional. It's not glamorous or anything.

    I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. These people are all great.  Made the whole visit such a pleasant experience.  My fears were put to rest right away, and they had been with me for years believe me.  Dr. Rice is very nice and kind.  He thoroughly explains what needs to happen.  Every single person in the office is very nice and goes out of their way to make your visit as comfortable as possible. I've gone back a couple of times since my initial visit and have another appt. next month. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rice and his staff to anyone and have told all my family and friends about this office.  If they can make me not mind going to the dentist, they can help anyone.  I have a ways to go with what I need to have done, but I know I can get it done with the help of this supportive, experienced group.

    It was a very good experience in that for the first time I used a dentist that preferred not to use gas. He was 
    very gentle and I hardly felt the shots to numb the area at all. When all was done he match the color of my front teeth (at the age of 68 years) almost perfectly and there was almost no discomfort later that day or the next. The procedure was expensive at  $800.00 and I don't have dental insurance but there was no problem in setting up a monthly payment plan that benefited me!  When I've paid off the balance I have one more procedure to do and it will be with Dr. Rice and his well trained team, that treated me as a very special patient and person!

    Was blooking to get my teeth cleaned and set the appointment up accordingly. The appointment person took all of the information down and we were set. Now to understand the issue you need to understand that my wife and daughter both currently use Dr Bernardo, I was there is 2012 and decided he was close so I booked the appointment. When I registered the morning of the appointment I was immediately taken back where I was informed that I needed to have a set of Xrays done prior to the appointment! I told the dental assistant I did not have time nor did I want xrays I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned. Upon hearing
    that she immediately went out and Dr Bernardo came in. He asked why I did not want xrays and I stated I was in a hurry and all I wanted done was to get my teeth cleaned. He then informed me that by law he had to take xrays. He then asked strangely enoughly why I did not like him!!! Awkword as that was I stated again I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned and NO one prior to me sitting in the chair ever informed me I needed to have xrays taken. All that being said I got up and said nothing more than good bye. 3 Days later I was in the chair with another dentist, he looked at teeth had hygenist come in and teeth were cleaned in 35 minutes. Not one issue, When I left I asked him why he did not ask me for the state required xray procedure and he said there was no state or legal requirement to do a set of xrays and asked who told me that. When I gave him Dr. Bernardo's name he said nothing other than 'I am glad you came to our office we only require what is needed!' No bad words were stated but his answered implied a message. Wish we in America were all treated fairly and given correct information as I wasted 1.5 hours with drive and taking off work at the Bernardo office.

    He is an extremely competent dentist. He was able to help me with a problem that others had not. The dentist worked with me extensively to make sure he could identify what the difficulty was and then carried through. He is extremely good and is very caring about what he does. He explains everything in detail so I know exactly what is going on. He is extremely responsive. If I call with a problem he is right there and he is an excellent dentist. He is very skillful. My husband goes to him and a number of our other friends go as well; we have recommended him and are delighted with him.

    He and his staff are very good. He answers all  questions and you can feel very comfortable with him. We had to stop seeing him as our insurance changed providers and he was out of our network. We're very happy that our new insurance now accepts him!
