    PETSITTING BY DIANA
It could not have gone better.  Each lady left a diary so we knew how each day went.  We were worried because our dog is a rescue animal with severe separation issues, but the service handled him with love, and he thrived.

    PETSITTING BY DIANA
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and were hoping for a reliable, professional company to take care of our pets. I really, really wanted this service to work. We tried using Petsitting By Diana three times, each with very disappointing results. The business is very disorganized, and it is difficult to get ahold of anyone you can only leave a message or email and wait until they decide to get back to you, if ever. Here is a summary of each situation:
    1. My husband and I were out of town for several hours and needed someone to let the dogs out and feed them. Jill was assigned. She showed up on time, but allowed her teenage son to wander around the house unsupervised. We have security cameras in our house. I didnt make a big deal of this, but when I asked about their policy of allowing anyone other than the authorized employees, Jill initially denied this and said that her son sat out in the car. Diana stated that no one other than the petsitter was allowed, and Jill was replaced by another petsitter for future needs.
    2. We went out of state for the first week of July. Patricia was initially assigned, but backed out over some family issues. We were then assigned to Maria. We were fairly happy with Maria at firstshe had more of a lock them outside and relax approach, but she fed and walked them as scheduled. Then came 4th of July. She went to see fireworks and celebrate,
which was fine, but didnt mention that she also had to work during the day. The dogs were by themselves for 16 out of 24 hours, in the dark and panicking with fireworks going off outside. We were very concerned that she was still gone at 11pm, so I had texted her to see when she was going to be back. Her replies were borderline incoherent. When Maria returned to the house, she was absolutely belligerent, on the phone with Diana in a carefully staged Cover Your A** situation, and spent the next hour in a complete rage, insulting and launched a vicious, expletive-laced verbal attack about us, our animals, our house, and anything else she could think of regarding the job. She was lying about a number of issues to Diana, which we didnt address because it would come down to our word vs hers, and we were getting tired of this company. We were sick to our stomachs watching her in such a rage, because we were truly helpless watching and listening to this, hoping that she didnt take it out on our animals. Im not sure if Maria was intoxicated or not, but her explosion of anger was completely unfounded (it was based on 2 neutral text messages from me asking when she would be back to the house)we were scared to contact her or Diana for fear of further retaliation. I was at the point where I was about to have police remove her from my house and fly back early. I informed Diana that Maria was absolutely not welcome back.
    3. We decided to try Petsitting by Diana one last time, which was a mistake. We needed someone to stay with the animals from Thursday night 9/4 through Sunday 9/7. Their communication guidelines instruct the client to contact the petsitter directly, so I texted Patricia on 8/25 to see if she was available and she replied Yes, will be in touch. After several reschedules to come pick up the key and go over the basic care info, she never shows and cancels 3 days before we leave, saying that Diana was informed. Of course, Diana never contacted us and we were left scrambling to find a kennel at last minute.
This is a very unprofessional, unreliable service and I will not use them nor recommend them in the future.

    Bark Busters Home Dog Training
I contacted him via email, and filled out a questionnaire on line. He called me that afternoon and I made an appointment for the next week. He pulled up in the driveway, and called me. He had me put the dogs out back, then he came in and gave me instructions. He worked with us on every problem or question we had, 1 thing at a time. Great results. I can call him at any time for a review.

    TENDER CARE ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Our large dog had been going to Tender Care for daycare and really seemed to like it, so when we travel and needed her boarded it seemed like a good choice for her. I like the fact that if its a week day when the dogs are being boarded they spend the day in daycare playing with the other dogs instead of all day in their kennel. The facilities are very nice, the staff is supper nice and our dog loves it here. She likes the vets and staff so well that I changed her Vet check ups to here as well. We have been very happy and going here since they opened. We go to Tender Care on Route 91. Very convenient to we're we live.

    DEMANES ANIMAL HOSPITAL
They were very good and caring with the dog. I got not only calls to follow up on how the dog was doing, but was told over the weekend that I could call at any time if I had problems. So they were very available and helpful. Even two weeks after she was home I got a call from the doctor, and she kept me really informed about what the lab results were and how things were going. The communication was really good.

    Big Hollow Companion Animal Hospital
This is my dog's veterinarian and Big Hollow was recommended to me by several neighbors. I've visited this office a couple of times since we adopted our dog (check-ups, routine shots, medical needs) and I'm always satisfied and relieved when I leave their office. With my dog's ear infection, they diagnosed and treated her in the same visit. They are also true dogs lovers. My dog is older and adopted from a shelter and therefore, can be a little hesitant of strangers and things poking her. But Big Hollow knows how to take care of her and eventually my dog is giving them kisses. Most importantly, Big Hollow provides the correct solution to the issues and answers all of my questions. Plus she improved greatly within 24 hours after visiting (like they said she would).

    Big Hollow Companion Animal Hospital
I was impressed by the staff's ability to offer answers to my million questions. Our dog also started to relax after being in the waiting room. We went with the suggested heart worm and flea medication (although our dog doesn't have any problems now we figured to start off with the prevention). The staff are super helpful and really spend time with you and the dog....wouldn't that be nice with human-related doctor visits....

    Dunlap Veterinary Clinic
Shelly, who handles the boarding, was very friendly and professional. Our dogs have separation anxiety and do not enjoy being boarded anywhere; however, the staff at Dunlap Veterninary Clinic were very warm and comforting making both us and the dogs feel welcome and at ease. They told us to bring our dogs favorite toys with them so that they would have something from home to comfort them. As we left the kennel, we felt confident that the dogs would be well cared for. One caveat is that you must receive veterinary services from the clinic in order to board there, but from my experience that is typical of most vets who also board. In fact, we switched to Dunlap Veterinary Clinic from our old vet specifically so we could board there, and one of our dogs had her shots updated during her stay. Of course, the dogs were ridicuously happy to see us when we returned, but we could tell by their behavior that their stay had been pleasant.
