    Envy Home Services, Inc.
Exceptionally well. From first contact to meeting with very informative consultant/agent to the very professional and particular construction of the entire project. Per the Building Inspector: one of best constructions inspected. Price a little higher than other companies - but you receive excellence for it. We love our sunroom and it is now our favorite room!

We just completed our project with EncoreGarage. We had the floors done, custom shelving put in and electronic hoists and bike rack installed. We love everything and our garage looks amazing. One of the hoists didn't work properly due to a manufacture issue and EncoreGarage took care of it within a week. Tony and Jason were extremely responsive to all our questions. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to organize their garage!

I hired Jeff to clear my driveway and sidewalks of snow after my back surgery in Sept. He was paid $350.00 in advance for the season. I stressed to him how important it was that he clear the snow and ice as early in the day as possible to give me stable footing to be able to make it to my car so I can leave for work by 5:00 a.m. He was supposed to come out with each 2" snowfall until the end of the season. After I hired him, we had three snow events but he didn't show up until he had taken care of his commercial accounts on the mornings of Dec. 14 & 17 after I had called and begged him to do the work I had already paid him to do. He never showed up at all on Sunday, Dec. 18, so my equally disabled spouse and I had to clear the driveway and walks ourselves with great difficulty so I could get to work safely the next day. On the first day he came to shovel, he complained that the job had a lot more pavement than he thought and he should have charged more. I would like to note that he told me that he came out to look at the property before he quoted me the high price initially so he should have known exactly what I wanted cleared. If there was any question about it, he also had access to my phone number as well as Google earth to view conditions. He also said he lived in West Dundee not too far from my house so he should have been familiar with the lot sizes in the older section of town especially when we're not on a corner lot. He really should have taken care of the advance paid customers first and then the customers that were paying him per snow event later. Obviously, I am very disappointed with Jeff Richardson as well as Angie's List for this referral. I was counting on him to do my lawn and garden from spring to fall but I think I'll hire someone with a better work ethic and more honesty for that job because I don't like having to micromanage people to do the job that they are hired to do. Adults should know how to work without supervision especially when it's their own business! I also changed 'Professionalism' to an 'F', due to the provider leaving a voicemail on my phone following the review being left. In the response left, he mentioned that we had agreed to his terms and the original contract, however he said that he would be able to work with us due to our situation with our surgeries/disabilities. He also said that we had more visits than any other client he had, however I find that hard to believe because he was only out here twice.

Every aspect of this experience was better than what we anticipated! Researched on Angies List and read all the reviews. Selected them because of the good experiences shared by others. Glen came out and provided us an estimate in April. We procrastinated until October. Glen was very upfront with us explaining the ability to complete the job this year was weather dependent. Even offered to honor the quote next year if we didn't get it done before winter. Fortunately, the weather was perfect. Three great things I appreciate: (1) we had a basketball pole that they disassembled, reassembled and installed perfectly; (2) they reinstalled about 60 sq. ft. of pavers for a very reasonable price (I thought I'd have to do the work myself or pay alot more than what Glen quoted; this was an add-on by the way); and, (3) they re-did all of the affected landscape and grass around the driveway in a perfect manner, and re-seeded. Great attention to detail. On top of that, everyone was very professional and nice. Thank you Glen, your dad and the rest of your crew!

Glen took the time to develop improvements in the layout and design of our existing driveway and sidewalks to provide for improved drainage and aesthetics. He had some great ideas and he and his crew really made the finished job look wonderful. They were in and out in two days, cleaned everything up, and even back-filled the surrounding areas with dirt and grass seed so that the whole front of the house has a new look. I would endorse Glen and his crew without hesitation.

    Next Door, Inc
We called Next Door on Sunday and left a message. They returned our call early Monday morning and by 11 am Next Door had a repairman at our house and within 30 minutes the spring was fixed. Ray, the repairman, also fixed the light on the door opener, oiled and lubricated all parts, checked door balance, checked photo/safety eye alignment and replaced 2 weather strips.

    Consolidated Garage Door Ltd
I couldn't have made it easier for this company. I had already done my research  and knew exactly what I wanted.
    They stopped by 06/25/15 , measured & took a 50% deposit , which took all of 10 minutes .
Everything seemed fine when the door was installed 07/16/15 . It was louder going up & down , but I figured it was due to a heavier door .
On 08/02/15 the door started malfunctioning ; bouncing back  , then not even coming down at all.
I tried to call Consolidated door , but they have NO EMERGENCY or after hours number.
Customers just have to wait until their usual business hours.
So I called the emergency number for the company that installed the opener in 2012  .
I was called back in a matter of moments  ; they had me look at the sensors to see if there was debris (none) & make sure they were lit ( they were. )
It was explained to me that the vibrations from the door were causing it to back up , so they had me press & HOLD the button to get the door to close on that 90 + degree day.
I got a call back from Consolidated on Monday at which time they were very uncooperative about coming to look at the door around my schedule. I can be home at 430p , which is plenty early for a week day.  Since they were unwilling to come after work or Saturday , I asked if I could hire someone else & have them reimburse me - I was told this would "Void my warranty". They tried to get me to have a neighbor be responsible for their visit if I couldn't be home at their convenience- I think any homeowner could see the problem with that.
The manager was literally expecting me to take time off work for this. ( how do they think I get the money to pay for the door ?)
At one point the manager even asked me, well how were you home for the install ? ( vacation day ) .
We left the conversation with the statement that they couldn't be sure when someone would be in the area , but would call me IN ADVANCE to let me know when they could be expected.
Not exactly what anyone could consider good customer service.
There seems to be some confusion with their concept of WHO is the CUSTOMER , & WHO should be ACCOMMODATING WHO.
Monday 08/03/15  & Tues 08/04/15 I hear nothing from them so I run errands on the way home from work.
As I'm returning home 08/04/15 I get a phone call from their tech telling me " it's 440pm & where are you ?"
If I had been #$%^&*  informed in advance they would be there, I would have come straight home !
Really? If you had confirmed with me the first time , there would have been no need to call a second time.
Monday 08/03/15 & Tues 08/04/15 the door seems to be working on its own now. For how long I don't know. It still makes rattling noises going up and down.

As far as Consolidated Garage Door Ltd is concerned THEY GET A ZERO  for service after the sale.

***Update....Spoke w Phil at Consolidated 08/15/15 today @9:30 ....explained to him after examination that the garage door opener was not connected correctly by the technician...The tech probably figured "hey, it's not our opener , so who cares if it breaks ? "
The bolt is connected crooked , so no wonder it shakes each time the door opens & closes.
Phil actually told me "they only come to fix their mistakes during 'normal business hours' , like I'm a 1950's housewife with nothing to do . They had the opportunity to do the job for hours the first time. It is not my obligation to take time off of work due to THEIR MISTAKES.
The mistakes being; The door opener is not vertical causing the trolley to lean to one side which will eventually wear it out. The two bolts connecting the arm are even crooked. I sent photos to the wonderful company that installed the opener 2012 & they called it a "hack job".

All American Sealcoats & Snow Plowing
They were very neat, professional, did a good job, and came right on time when they said they would be there. We had to work out the timing with lawn mowing and other deliveries using the driveway but they were comfortable with scheduling it at our convenience.

    Concrete Hero
Pete Catalano is a stand up guy who backs up what he sells.  We had a very unique situation out at my property with our paver installation and Pete was not afraid to come back out to the job and make sure it got re-done correctly and up to his standards.
If you want someone who will return your calls and back up what they sell, you should use these guys.

All American Sealcoats & Snow Plowing

I have quite a good sized driveway and it was in need of sealcoating. I had received an unsolicited quote for sealcoating my driveway that was cheaper than my previous sealcoating but I was very pleased with the company that had rebuilt my driveway and had also seal coated it previously.  When I called this previous company they advised that they no longer did residential driveway sealcoating but did provide me with All American Sealcoating phone number.

I figured that this was a perfect time to get some additional quotes for sealcoating my driveway and so of course I had to try Angie?s List as I had used them before with good results.

The first thing that popped up on Angie?s list when I typed in driveway seal coating was All American Sealcoat and their rating was excellent and that was good enough for me.

I called All American Sealcoat and Tammy answered with a very professional voice and I requested a quote, and the quote response was excellent. Mike did the quote and pricing was fine.

Tammy called and scheduled work date and then called a day before work was to start to confirm planned schedule.

Mike and Tony arrived as scheduled, did all of the operations that were stated during quote plus a couple of extras and left everything spotless and they even managed to put up with my sidewalk supervision, without getting upset.

I am very pleased with the finished product on my driveway and will not hesitate to use this company again.
