This is the second successful visit by Farhan. A year and a half ago I had three repair people tell me I needed a new sub-zero refrigerator or a major repair. Instead Farhan refilled the freon and the fridge has been running well until a few days ago when the evaporator motor broke. Farhan paid another visit and the repair was successful. Farhan is my go to guy for appliance repair in the future. Reliable and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Chicago Appliance Service Co - Chicago Suburban
Dryer was not heating up properly. I called in the morning and got the answering service. My call was returned within the hour, and a technician was sent to my residence by 1:00pm, well within the two hour window given. Problem was diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour. Professional, courteous, clean, and capable. Would definitely hire again.

All repaired by simple adjustments or replacement parts except over-the-range microwave diagnosed as magnetron and not worth cost of repair. Trip charges were not charged for each machine, keeping price down. Repairman very knowledgeable and pleasant. These are good people to do business with.

I called Ramon and he made the appointment for the next day. He came at the correct time, was very polite and was easy to work with. I had already pulled the stacked washer/dryer out of the laundry area so he could service it easier. He saw the problem and went out to his van to see what the issue was and came back in a few minutes and said the problem was the gas coil valve that sits on top of the gas valve. He told me that the parts cost $90 and the labor would be $175. I asked him if he charges the service call fee if he does the repairs and he told me no that the service call would be included in the price. Since I had no idea how much the parts were or how much time it would take to remove and replace the parts, I agreed to the charge. It took him about 30 mins to take the dryer apart, replace the gas valve/gas coils and put the dryer together. I asked him to stay until we verified the dryer worked properly and he agreed. Altogether it took 1 hr from arrival time to the time he left. After he left, I looked up the parts and saw they cost less than $30 and that replacing the parts only took about 30 mins. That includes pulling the dryer apart, replacing the parts and putting the dryer back together. I don't believe the 1 hr labor rate he quoted was the normal labor rate so I contacted Ramon and we agreed to pay a different amt.

Advantage was very responsive. Called early the morning after I left message and was my home by noon. Explained the error code, checked things out and offered a discount for service even though I did not have coupon. Have recommended them and would certainly not hesitate to call them again.

My Dryer would not heat up. Mike came out and replaced the worn parts. I think they were some kind of coils. He was prompt and the work didn't take much time. He went above and beyond when I asked him about repairing my gas cooktop. He told me what to try, in order to fix it myself. It took me a few tries, but I was able to get it working. I will definitely use this company again. They were very honest and straight up with me.

Tom came over to check it out and applied a temporary fix with what he thought would solve the problem, but did not. He came back to complete the job after having ordered and received a new tub. By taking the machine apart he discovered it was not the outer tub, but the gasket. He replaced the gasket and did not charge me for the outer tub. Machine is no longer leaking! Yeah!

The older gentleman that showed up was crabby and annoyed to be there. All he did was clean out the rubber section on the dryer door, which I did not know existed took a total of 10 minutes. He told me a repair to this would be around 300.00 next time. I politely asked him while writing the check for $89.00 which was the quote, he instead charged me 109.00 and told me there is a min. Parts charge of $20.00 whether he used a part or not. Nowhere on his invoice does it state this or his wife over the phone who quoted the 89.00. That is completely wrong and deceitful way to do business. I am reporting him to the better business bureau.

We've always been very pleased with them. There was one worker to complete the service. I think they had to come out several times because they were trying to fix an old stove. They kept trying different things to fix it. In doing it, they tried to discourage us from doing the most expensive thing, and we decided to do it anyway because we didn't want to buy a new stove. They were right. We shouldn't have done it. It didn't work. They were very upfront with us.

Tom was great! He arrived 20 minutes into the 4-hour time window, quickly discovered it had somehow come partly unplugged, and had it plugged back in and returned to its tight space in under 45 minutes. He was courteous and quick, and we have our oven back in time for holiday baking! I will definitely use Advantage Appliance Service again.
