  • As my eyesight deteriorated, Dr. Iyengar encouraged me to have cataract surgery. The clinical staff helped me decide which lenses to choose and arranged my surgical appointments. Dr. Bruce Larsen performed the surgeries for cataract removal and replacement with deluxe lenses. I now see well and don't always need glasses. I continue to see Dr. Iyengar for follow-up appointments. She is friendly, always remembers me, and after she examines my eyes she explains her findings perfectly so that I understand.

  • It was great! They would have made time for us to come the day I called if that worked in our schedule.  The staff was very friendly and worked well with a 4 year old. The tech was good about asking questions differently when my son didn't understand the first time.  The Doctor was even better about getting involved and interested and extremely patient as he was getting antsy.
They had to dilate his eyes which can sting a little and she knew how to do it so it was quickly over and forgotten.
My son did end up needing glasses and they had a fairly good selection.  I do wish we would have had a bit more help and understood which ones could be ordered in different sizes or colors.  My son LOVES blue and Captain America.  He found a pair of glasses that he really liked (blue of course) only the ones on display were too big.  I asked if we could order them smaller and didn't really get a definitive answer just kind of pushed to other in the display that were of the correct size.  Not sure if they didn't come smaller or that the order wasn't something they wanted to do.  My son is happy with the glasses he eventually picked out but a clearer answer would have been nice for me.
Once he has had them for a while I will update to verify if they are working well and providing the necessary assistance.

  • Dr. Walser has take care of your family's eyes for many years.  We find her to be personable as well as competent.  Her friendly, quiet nature and her comfortable office environment combine for a stress-free encounter.  Having worn contact lenses for 37 years I've seen a lot of changes in the available technology and Dr. Walser keeps up-to-date, discussing the pros and cons of available materials and how they can help to provide better eyesight and a more comfortable fit.

  • I went there to get MONO VISION lenses. The Dr had me try several different different contact lenses over several months. My sight was worse with each trial lens she gave me. the doctor ordered a 6 month supply of contact lenses on the same date she gave me a trial pair. That trial contact lens also made my sight worse. I asked for a refund on the 6 month supply and they told me NO. I did not order them. The doctor did. I said I wanted to speak to their office manager. No one called me. A few months went by. I called again and they asked if I wanted to see a different doctor. I did and got another eye exam. the results this new doctor came up with was completely different than the 1st. my 'reading' contact was originally in the left eye. this doctor's results said my reading eye should be my right eye. I did order contact lens for my right eye, which leaves me with a balance of about $150.00. Boris, the manager would not refund the difference. He said I got two eye exams for the price of one. I told him that the first one was way off base. he said my eyes must have changed in the past 3 months. I have an 'IN STORE CREDITand quot;. BE WARNED- DO NOT LET THEM ORDER ANYTHING unless you ok it. You will not get your money back.

  • Waited about 10-15 minutes before I was seen. Dr. Sparks gave me a thorough examination and was willing to spend as much time with me as needed. You never feel rushed and she is as friendly as they come. Since it's your eyes she's dealing with Dr. Sparks tends to error on the side of caution. I couldn't be happier with her. If you need contacts you can save money purchasing over the internet compared to purchasing them at Family Vision.

  • I was a little disappointed to hear from the ophthalmologist that my son, who was just about 16 at the time, did not need glasses. His distance vision seemed sub-par to me. I don't remember the evaluation numbers. He did pass the State of Illinois driver's vision test a few months later. He went there in 2010 or so, has since gotten glasses for distance vision. He didn't have any accidents - it's just that I wish he'd taken the time to explain the numbers and that the State has pretty low standards.
In all other respects, I have no complaints.

  • My son goes to Dr. Lousi A. Jison four years ago. He was wonderful, very thorough, very nice, my son was about twelve or thirteen. He worked with him really well. Went through a bunch of tests, very patient. I want to say the office was fine, parking was good, parking is always an issue. When I go to a doctor's office I like to park and walk in not walk three blocks. We got in when we needed to get in.

  • I liked her really well. Their office tried to mess me up because they said they would take our insurance and they didn’t take it and then it was like a lot of money. They did a great job in every other way.

  • We have been going there for about 25 years. Since my husband has insurance we don't pay much. We pay a $20 deductible and it is just for the exam. I don't know what it costs without the insurance. The glasses and so forth are extra. I don't have any problem with their office. We wouldn't be going there if we don't trust them. I have referred people there.

  • Promptly, as soon as I finished all the paperwqork (I was a nnew patient) all the eye testing procedures started. As soon as they were finished Docot Halkias came in and we did some more testing of lenses explanations immediately especially about any eye diseases I might have. The irritating nightly eyes was explained and samples were given. Then dialated eyes - went out to the eye glass frames picked out a pair, finished up the paperwork and then immediately called back and Dr, H checked my ey6es again. No time was wasted a d all was handeled with cou8rtesay and professionalism.
