I had a UTI and waited 3 days to see if it went away by itself. It didn't. It was painful so I called DuPage Medical on a Sunday morning about 8:00 AM. Not DuPage Medical's usual hours at all. So I went thru the usual rigmarole of menus and all that beforehand. He then called me 10 minutes later (it's been YEARS since a doctor actually called for me or my kids; possibly not since the early 1990s - they've usually delegated this in a "have your girl call my girl" sort of way and so it goes back and forth, with Telephone Game-style miscommunications for hours or days). He was friendly and responsive, sent a prescription, and I feel much better.

"I can't do anything else to help you." This is what Dr. Hulesch said to my mother while under his care for her chronic, severe COPD. She had tried multiple treatments and when she came back for a follow up, she mentioned she was still suffering. My mother is absolutely NOT a high-maintenance patient, having worked for 20 some years as a nurse. I couldn't believe when she told me. So if you want a doctor who 1. Doesn't do the job is overpaid to do and 2. Lacks compassion for human suffering, then Dr. Hulesch is the doctor for you! What happened to "First, do no harm"?

The results of my tests were inaccurate. For example, I came in with a bladder infection and in the follow-up appointment, they thought I had strep throat. Additionally, I had my thyroid removed, and the endocrinologist insisted it was only a partial thyroidectomy. His parting words were "... I will call your Northwestern surgeon." I responded, "Please do." There are so many errors in my chart, which I have consistently tried to rectify, but no one seems to care about these issues.

Dr. Wray was very professional in his demeanor, pleasant, and informative.  He assessed the problem, made a diagnosis, and then recommended a treatment which is effectively treating the problem.  He offered several treatment options and then explained why the course he recommended was the best in my situation.

Most of the nurses were great, a few were definitely not.  Most of the drs were very good also, except for Dr. Yu, pulmonologist.  My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and after a few weeks Dr Yu told him to give up and die.  My mother was there when he said this.  I called Dr Yu after this, several times, to find out why the h*** he would tell anyone that, but he never returned my calls.  And his staff was even rude to the hospital nurses when they called to try to get dr Yu.  My dads oncologist said there is no way he should give up and couldn't understand why Dr Yu would say that.  I called the medical director and filed a report but I don't know if it went anywhere.  I would NEVER recommend Dr Yu.  And if I ever ran into him id probably be arrested.

I received the results of the biopsy on Good Samaritan's stationary stating my biopsy was benign. Because of the way I was treated by the radiologist, I decided to get a second opinion at Women's Prentice Hospital at the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Inst. Upon having another ultrasound and biopsy, I have cancer and will have surgery on 8-28-14. Not only did Good Samaritan's staff state my biopsy was benign, they missed the target completely. Whatever they biopsied, was nowhere near where my cancer is. If I would have listened to Good Samaritan's radiologist and waited another 6 months to go for another mammogram, my cancer could have spread. Thank God I went for another opinion at a much more advanced hospital with caring doctors who actually communicate with their patients.

He's wonderful. I would recommend him to anybody at any time. What sets him apart from other doctors is his manner, his knowledge, his honesty and he just takes his time, he's very friendly, very warm, very nice and you feel like you've come to the right place with him. The surgery was wonderful and everything about him was great.

They're great. I've had both of my children so I've been a long time patient. Their staff is always courteous and calm. I never had to wait long. I've seen some of the doctors in the process but my primary doctor is Dr. Gregory Chen and they're always professional, polite and answers all of my questions.

The laser treatment involved treating all 10 toes.  It is a very simple procedure.  The laser is applied to each toe and it is painless.  The appointment is about 30 minutes.  It is a 4 appointment procedure.  The only way you can tell if it is working is looking at the nail growth.  I can see an improvement.  I do not want to take oral medication that is why I went with the laser.  There is also a liquid that can be used in conjuction with the laser.  You paint it on your nails daily.  The only problem is you can not wear nail polish if you are using the liquid.

We use Downers Grove Family Practice. They are good. They are nice. Their punctuality is the same, sometimes they are on schedule and sometimes you have to wait upwards to an hour. The staff is friendly also. The office environment is nice.
