    La Mantia Enterprises, Inc.
The crew arrived in force on a Monday morning and the work was completed by Wednesday afternoon. We were amazed at how much was in accomplished in such a short period of time. That said, we worked closely with Dominick to nail down the scope so there would be minimal points of discussion once the work began and there was zero project creep.

    Landmark Demolition Inc
Florim was extremely responsive and easy to work with. His crew was prompt, professional and answered all my questions before and after the tear down. When we found two baby raccoons under the floorboards, Florim and his crew waited while we called for help. The removal was perfect and not a trace of the old shed was left behind. I highly recommend Landmark Demolition for anyone looking for a reliable, competitively priced and trustworthy team.

Robert was absolutely great and I'm so glad we went with him. He was very reasonably priced, knowledgeable, and professional. He responded and provided an estimate the same day of my inquiry and finished the job in one day. We will definitely use his services in the future. I think we found our handyman for life.

    U.S. Waterproofing
I have had US Waterproofing at our home three times in the 18 years we have lived here. Each time they were excellent! This new problem did not stem from a previous visit, but was a new leak in the basement coming from a widow well. Todd from US Waterproofing came out to evaluate the situation. He proved that it was the window well as the liner had removed itself from the building wall.  Water was leaking in around the window and coming down the wall into the basement.  He said they could install a new well liner and put a membrane around it to seal off any water coming from the outside.  He also suggested we have covers installed as this would prevent some water from coming into the window as well (pun intended).  The company's work would only be warrantied if we had drains installed in the well which they could provide, however, never having seen any drains in the window wells I could not be certain.  The gentlemen who came to do the work dug out the wells (2) several feet deeper than had been previously and discovered drain tile.  They did an exceptional job.  They showed me the membrane material they would be using, the rocks they would replace in the well and the well liner which they attached to the building.  Great job - only took a few hours.

Responded quickly and made appt for review of jobs needed. Time for project scheduled within 3 week which was within my time frame. Only hiccup is that they were late starting on the scheduled day/time and had to come back the next day. However, the work was done and done very well. Robert offered options and solutions for fixing several problems which is what I was looking for. They cleaned up after themselves and took away the garbage. Everything looks great. Extremely happy with the results.

    Bozek Home Improvements & Landscaping
We have always been very pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism - whenever we have called with an emergency they are very prompt in getting back to us. Their prices are very fair and everyone that has done the work has been very polite and trustworthy, and they clean up after themselves which is very much appreciated. Their workmanship is solid and stands up to the test of time. We also appreciate their creative ideas in trying to solve a problem or come up with a unique solution. They have always gone the extra mile to be sure we are satisfied.

We hired our own architect to draw up the plans for the remodeling and addition. We then took it to bid and we hired Prairie Homes & Renovations Inc for the job. One week before we were to go to permit my office building had a fire and I moved my office back to my home. We changed the blue prints to include a bathroom in the plans and then went back to Prairie Homes & Renovations for a new bid. When we received that, we went to get our construction permit so that construction could start. The renovations included a 9 by 9 foot octagonal tower room at one end of the house (with a copper roof), a two story peak front addition, a bay window addition and a bathroom addition. Also included was a new roof thoughout, new stone and stucco exterior, new windows, new doors, new insulation, new electrical, etc. The complete job took about five months but was well worth it. We basically changed the style of the house from a colonial to a unique chateou look. Prairie Homes was responsinve thoughout the process. I wish I could show before and after pictures here.

    Perma-Seal Basement Systems
Art Lehmann came several weeks in advance to give us an estimate. We were very impressed by Art, in contrast to some other salesmen we talked to. We greatly appreciated two things: first, Art gave us a specific breakdown of every line item included in the job. The other major company we talked to would not give us the cost breakdown. Second, Permaseal's warranty applies to the lifetime of the house and can be transferred between an unlimited number of owners. This is different from every other company we reviewed, who would only insure their work for the next owner, but none thereafter.
On the day scheduled to do the job, we received a call from the foreman, Juan Gomez, who was very friendly and an impressive worker. He arrived with his crew, who immediately began using jackhammers to break up the foundation perimeter. Before doing that, they covered everything in our basement with plastic sheeting and then tacked up a plastic curtain that separated the perimeter of the basement from the interior. Consequently, other than mopping up at the end, we had no dust issues at all after the job was complete.
The crew proceeded to transfer chunks of the foundation by bucket through a basement window, followed by dirt and gravel excavated to the proper depth under the foundation. They then put in gravel and a  rigid perforated PC pipe around the perimeter that is all tied to a new sump pump in the corner. They installed a grating in front of our basement door to catch any groundwater that might seep over the lintel. Next they attached the Bright Wall siding with seepage control flashing at the bottom to direct any wall seepage down into the tiling system. Finally, Juan Gomez finished the job by beautifully cementing over the whole tiling system. We were especially impressed by his cementing skills.
Now that the jobs's done, it's hard to believe that it's the same basement. It wasn't cheap, but the result is pretty spectacular. Highly recommended!

    RJD Construction Services
All seemed to go well. The yard was graded and the sump was installed, though without the "pop up" required. He knew that he was working on a new asphalt drive and I assumed he would use care to make sure it wasn't damaged with equipment. When the job was done it was very muddy so the driveway was covered in mud, no big deal, until I washed it off and found that he had parked his 10 wheeler on the drive and it had sunk into the asphalt. Upon further inspecition I found gouges in the surface that were made with his back hoe. When I brought this up to his attention, via voice mail, I never received a response. So I called the person that recommended him...Got a call right back that he was going to check with the paving company and see what could be done. I finally called the paving company only to be told that nothing was going to be done. He called back and said that I could just paint the spots with sealer... I gave him one more chance by calling him and explaining that no action was not acceptable...To date, I am still waiting for a response.
