Jon was patient and kind because I was fearful. He always explained everything he was doing, and patiently answered all of my questions. Has a great sense of humor, yet always professional. My dentist out of state extensively researched a PT practice to go to - I would never go anywhere else.

    Bruntjen, Dr. Barton L
IIF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TECHNICALLY BRILLIANT DENTIST WITH A HEART OF GOLD, WHO WORKS WITH PEOPLE WHO SHARE HIS VALUES, LOOK NO FURTHER -  DR. BRUNTJEN IS THAT DENTIST.
I started seeing Dr. Bruntjen as my dentist in the late 1980s when I was living in Chicago.  Dave, one of my roommates was going on a business trip and had an infected tooth.  His regular dentist was on vacation.  He wandered in to Dr. Bruntjen's practice on the way home from work and they squeezed him in.  Dr. Bruntjen told him that he needed a root canal, but seeing as Dr. Bruntjen wasn't part of my roommate's dental insurance plan, Dr. B recommended that he get on a course of antibiotics and wait to schedule the root canal when his regular dentist returned, so that Dave's procedure would be covered by his insurance.  Dr. B gave Dave a prescription and sent him on his way.  Dave was able to go on his trip with no problems from the tooth.  After his business trip he came back and told me and my other roommate about the experience.  He said "This guy was amazing.  I liked him way better than my regular dentist.  I'm switching to him, even if I have to pay out of pocket. "
Several months later, a wisdom tooth was giving me problems and I made my first appointment with Dr. Bruntjen.  While I was waiting in his lobby, Dr. B walked the patient before me out of the exam room.  I overheard their conversation.  This guy was in a tough spot and Dr.  B demonstrated an exceptional level of kindness and compassion.  When it was my turn to be seen, I remarked on how great Dr. B had been with the prior patient.  He said "I just feel bad that I couldn't do more for him.  There aren't really any fixes for him."   Dr. B went on to remove my wisdom tooth.  I was his last patient of the day.  I didn't feel very well afterward.  Though I was well anesthetized and didn't feel any pain, the whole idea of a tooth being pulled made me queasy, for some reason.  Dr. Bruntjen could tell I was a little green around the gills.  He told me to just stay in the chair for a little bit.  I'm sure he'd had a full day and wanted to close up, but he didn't rush me in the slightest.  He wound up calling me a cab and then calling my house later that evening to be sure I was doing okay.
Ultimately, all of the roommates and many of our friends and coworkers became Dr. Bruntjen's patients.
I've seen Dr. Bruntjen ever since.  When I got married and had kids, I drove them into Chicago to go to Dr. B.  Luckily for me, he eventually moved his practice to the Western Suburbs.  My six kids see Dr. B and we've now moved on to the third generation - my grandchildren in Kenosha, Wisconsin visit him for regular check ups as well.
I cannot say enough about this practice.  Everyone in the practice - Trudy at the front desk, the hygienists, Dr. B - are all amazing.  They are like a family and they treat you like family.  Makes you actually look forward to going to the dentist.

I used this practice for years because of the pediatric dentists, who are very good with the kids as are the hygienists.  The hygienists really are awesome with children, and so are the dentists.  They put my kids at ease, and took away the fear of the dentist that many kids have.  That made it a great place for us for years.
I no longer use this practice for two reasons: 1) They were not understanding of my wish not to do x-rays every single year on my kids, who have baby teeth that will fall out.  I don't think the radiation worth is risk it with teeth that are going to fall out anyway, 2) they were always telling me work was needed, on teeth we had just sealed, teeth that had just come in, etc.   When I got second opinions, I would hear that there was no cavity.  I felt like services and work were being proposed when not warranted.

    Cassiani, Dr. John F
My husband and I both saw Dr. Cassiani. The dentist and staff were all great. My husband hasn't been to the dentist in a long time (work/moving/etc). Dr. Cassiani gave him a gentle admonishment to make sure he didn't wait so long until the next appointment. Appointments are scheduled--the woman making the appointment even remembered I was a teacher and got me in on a non school Monday in January.

    Fu, Dr. Russell
He's the most gentle dentist I've ever met. He takes great measures to make sure you're not feeling any pain, and always performs follow-up calls during the evening. He's wonderful, and his bedside manner is excellent.

    Always Great Smiles
I have used them for 5 years.  The hygienist is wonderful and I also like the dentist.  He is very knowledgeable.  Great personality.  I go every six months.  Scheduling is no kind of problem.  The office staff and atmosphere are wonderful.

    Celebrity Smiles
State-of-the-art equipment and Dr. Schefdore is rightfully proud of it as he is clearly keeping up with the latest trends in dentistry. The office is very comfortable and the chairs have personal TVs, and they give you the remote. Very educational and clear communication. However, it is expensive and they bill you upfront then send the bill to the insurance, after which you wait for insurance to send you a check for what they'll cover.  I would have preferred sending the bill to insurance and charging me the remainder as I have experienced in the past.

    David R. Newkirk, DDS
I've been using his services for about ten years. He always does excellent work and is particularly good with caps and other cosmetic procedures. Furthermore, he's personable and easy to talk to, and he takes his time when addressing questions or concerns.

They are wonderful people. I have been taking my daughter  there for years. Prices are reasonable even if you don't have insurance. My first time going there as a patient was a good experience. They don't try to bait and switch services which I have become accustomed to. Would definitely recommend.

    Moats, Dr. Michael E.
I was really nervous to meet with Dr. Moats and to hear the laundry list of work that I would need to have done, but realized quickly that I was in good hands.  I knew I needed a lot of work before I even went in, but what I hadn't expected was that Dr. Moats had a long term plan in place for me so that I would not need to pay for everything all at once.  He explained that some things could wait as long as I was not in pain.  We got the first round of work done and it was flawless; Dr. Moats was gentle, efficient and understanding of the fact that I was nervous.  His hygienist, Annie, was phenomenal as well.  They both did a great job of making me feel comfortable with the work I was having done; in large part because they work as a seamless team and leave you with the impression that you are in very capable hands at all times.  All of the work that they have completed has been painless and perfect. Jennie at the front desk as really great as well- always greeting me with a smile, taking time to review all the intricacies of my billing with me when I didn't understand (which requires a lot of patience- I'm not so bright at insurance questions).  I was also extremely appreciative of how they were able to work with me on being able to phase out my work so that I could keep up with the payments, rather than pushing me to get it all done at once.
I can't say enough good things about my relationship with the Moats Dental staff since I started going there; how they bent over backwards when I had a crown done by a previous dentist crack and needed to be seen asap, how he recommended a a really amazing specialist for my root canal (who was also really talented btw), and how they do all this amazing work with the best attitude you could ask for out of a professional.  My mouth has never felt this good and I will be a client for as long as they'll let me keep coming back.
Who knew that you could truly look forward to seeing your dentist?!
