    Swistun Inc
We moved into a newer home that was just about 10 years old but had issues with major ice damming and icicles due to heavy snow. This led to water damage inside of the house as the ice was melting and making its way inside our home. I had multiple quotes from several roofing outfits and they just eyeballed the situation and wanted to simply re-do the flashing. Most did the assessment from the street without going on the roof. None offered a guarantee. I came across Swistun on the net and found that they required a fee to assess the issue. I was a bit hesitant but went ahead anyways and i am very glad i did. The owner Casey came out and spent time not only on the roof but also inside of the attic to see what the cause might be. An assessment was made and a very detailed and illustrated solution/proposal was created with several options including ones with guaranteed no-leak options. Construction was done last summer and Casey was there for the majority of the work done. His crews were on time and kept the grounds clean. It was completed within the time frame since weather cooperated with us. He also took care of a gutter leak for free while he had his crew out. Everything looked great in the end as he had to do some construction to widen an exit of my roof valley to provide better drainage. After completion, Casey even stopped by after a heavy rain just to make sure things were draining correctly and made some adjustments to correct a potential issue. Mind you, this was after i paid the bill so it wasn't something i was expecting as a followup. You can tell he has a passion for problem solving. The big test was the following winter. Even after the early winter snowstorm that dropped an incredible amount of snow in a short period of time, the icicles and ice dams never formed. The solution worked brilliantly well! Also on a side note, the process was very easy throughout the entire project as Lori is the main contact person in his office and is very easy to communicate with. Casey is also very responsive. Wish all companies worked in this manner! I wouldn't consider them a bargain comparing to a regular roofer. However, if you want your roof leak situation fixed correctly, this is the way to do it! Swistun is a class act from start to finish!

My gutters on the house I bought were not sized or placed correctly causing problems with seepage at my house and my neighbors as well as causing driveway issues. In addition, the gutter drains were blocking use of a cement pad I wanted to use for trash cans. I needed someone who could understand my weird descriptions and requirements. I had used Peterson before to do some roof repair after a storm, so I called them to get an estimate. I got an estimate right away but as I asked for it so late in the fall (and we got that big November snow), I doubted the work could be done before spring. But in early December, I got a call that Peterson would be out. They came on time, confirmed the work to be done (replace with larger gutters, keep the roof flow from splashing out, move and redirect a downspout). and completed it better than I imagined. As a side note, I realized that a large metal lizard would have to be removed from my deck wall and I would have to have it rehung. When I looked at the completed job after work, it pleased me to no end that the lizard was on the wall I feel terrible that I forgot the worker's name, but it was the extra appreciated touch to having my gutter problems resolved before spring./ The gutters are working great.

We had a small leak in a really high part of our roof. Couldn't see anything from the ground. Called a few places and they said they were scheduling for weeks out for inspections and even farther out for repairs. Ed of C&S said he could come the next day, a Saturday. He took pictures, showed us we were missing a couple shingles, and went to pick up some replacements and fixed it the same day.

Quality work done at a fair price would definitely hire again. Also appreciated Eddie doing roof inspection and letting me know the roof was in good shape and in no need of replacement honesty goes a long way.

    LEAK STOP ROOFING
Chris from leak stop roofing arrived 10 min early to examine my roof for a small leak that had increased and now required attention. After a thorough examination of the area in question, he told me he could not help me with my problem! As it turns out, the roof was in good shape and did not require repair. He explained the problem was the chimney masonry, and it needed brickwork. He actually pointed out the area of most concern and explained in detail the problem that needed to be addressed. Chris is a personable, honest, and stand-up type of guy. He charged me zero for his valuable time and knowledgeable advice.

I did an earlier review when the gutters were installed and the review was positive. Personnel were good and professional but the gutters themselves were a safety hazard on my home. Large slabs of ice formed on top of the gutter guard surface and 50 to 70 pound slabs fell off when they began melting. One smashed my chain link fence down 4 feet. Others broke all my window well covers. I was afraid to go out either door for days after a thaw. I had them taken out and replaced after two years.

The installation went well. The work was done on time and well. The problem was the gutters themselves. I have a cape cod with a steep pitched roof in the front and very little pitch on the dormer in the back. Each of the three winters I had them when snow built up on the roof and then melted, it froze in large, very heavy sheets of ice on the roof. When it melted again 50-80 pound chunks of ice fell off the gutters. They broke all my window well covers and drove a chain link fence down to the ground. I was afraid to go out either door because I didn't know when a large chunk might fall. They built up an ice dam by my front door. When I had traditional open gutters icicles would form, melt and fall off but they were much smaller and did not damage my house or fence. I had them removed and replaced for my safety and that of my guests and family.

I received several proposals and found this company to be the most responsive to my questions and concerns. The work was done as agreed and on time. The workmen were professional and polite. The quality of their workmanship was superior. The work areas were thoroughly cleaned up. I am not easily pleased but this project exceeeded my expectations.

Not sure how the actual 'fix' went - hasn't rained yet but hopefully all is good! However, the rep who came out to provide the estimate showed up a few minuets early (gave a 2-hour window and he showed up before the beginning of the window which is always appreciated), did what I consider an extremely thorough inspection of the roof to best determine the source of the problem. He also inspected other areas of the roof and the roof on the detached garage. The roofer who worked on the leak showed up early, worked hard and cleaned up after himself. The work looks good and I am grateful they were able to fit a small job in before the winter weather arrived. I will update after it rains/snows if there were any problems.

Why Not Complete Home Improvements Inc
I know I am a little tardy in my review, they did the work in May but I wanted to see how it held up and looked after a while. I can safely say that I am as pleased today as I was on the first day. The siding we done to perfection, even around a few difficult areas, the crew was excellent and kept the site clean. They also did a lot of extras for me that I did not expect. The owner Lenny Thorne really takes pride in his work and it really did show. Extremely happy with the results and the look of my home now.
