Nick returned our call within 15 minutes and was at our door a half hour later. He had the necessary part and put it on. Nick has helped us many times in the past and has always been prompt, reliable and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

He had it up & running perfectly again when we thought we were going to have to buy a new one. We have used him for all of our handyman needs for years. Nicest guy... fast service, fair & reasonable price. A+

I contacted Chicago Appliance Service Company around 7:30am to see if they could come out and look at my freezer and by 9:30am they were here. It took them about an hour to finish the job and they were very professional and efficient the entire time.

Adrian came put promptly on time and fixed the problem - it was a broken coupler (as we suspected). But a new issue arose: when testing the repair, he noticed a different sound that could suggest a prohibitive transmission repair in the near future. Of course there was no way for him to have known since the machine wasn't operating before he fixed the coupler. Still, he'd done his job faithfully and we paid him and he went on his way. That afternoon Nick, the owner, sent a thank you email and receipt, and we took the opportunity to let him know about our unfortunate result. He immediately called and set up a time the next day to listen and see for himself, at no charge. We were pleasantly shocked! They both came out again, silenced the noise instantly with lubrication to the clutch, and thankfully it seems that if we need a future fix at all, it will be to the clutch, a moderate repair, and still well worth it for this valuable machine. Both Adrian and Nick explained everything clearly, what they were doing, why, and what our options were, including comparing repair to replacement. (They do recommend one brand of machine for quality, but the capacity is smaller than our current appliance, and we do plenty of laundry). Anyway, we highly recommend Park Ridge Appliance Service on all counts. Not only don't they make them like they used to, it's rare to find a service company like this anymore. Thank you Nick, and much continued success.

Steve O diagnosed problem correctly while using troubleshooting document provided with washer. He replaced agitator hub and cleaned drive shaft, solving problem. He helped us clean outside of tub which had been removed to get to hub and shaft. He had to schedule another appointment for a few days later because he didn't have special tool to remove tub from washer. After cleaning hub and shaft he tested washer, ensuring that problem was solved. Parts and labor warranted for 1 year.

Everything went great. We called and left a message after hours, and he returned our call within an hour to set up an appointment and to listen to our concerns about lint build-up in our dryer slowing our drying time. We did not expect a call-back during off-hours, so that was a pleasant surprise. Nick showed up on time for the appointment and was friendly and professional. He also had an assistant with him. He cleaned the dryer vent and inspected the unit and noticed we had a small tear in the lint trap on the unit and recommended we replace that. He said he could pick up the part for us. We agreed to that, and he returned that day with the part. A little while after he left I ran a load through the dryer and realized there was no hot air coming out of the dryer. I started and stopped the dryer several times and realized there was no hot air. I immediately called him and he quickly diagnosed over the phone what the problem probably was, and then we realized this, and not the lint, was the problem all along. Less than an hour later he came back to our house and charged us only for the part, not a second service call. We were happy with his quick service and response to our second repair issue. We want to make it clear that Nick did exactly what we had requested and paid for with our initial appointment, which was the dryer vent cleaning. Our vent was extremely dirty and there was no reason to believe it was anything else preventing our dryer from functioning properly. (The vent needed serious cleaning.) At no point did we ask him to do repairs on the dryer or look at any other issue with the dryer. So when the dryer failed to work properly after he left it was through no fault of his. He did not have to return the same day, and yet he did. In my opinion, he went above what others would have done. He even suggested we purchase a vent cleaning implement that we can use to do the cleaning ourselves. He showed me how to clean the vent myself, recommending a model from a local hardware store, which saves us money by not having to call him for future service calls for vent cleaning. We appreciate his professionalism and will absolutely use him again for appliance repairs. The price reflected includes new vent piping, a new lint screen, a new access flap, and all service work described above.

The repair itself was quick and reasonably priced. The thermostat needed to be replaced. However, our service tech ran into some delays and did not do a good job communicating his delay and updating his ETA. The service window was 11:00-1:00 and shortly before 1:00 he sent a txt that he would be delayed until about 4 pm. Around 4:30 we had to txt the technician to find out where he was and he provided a revised ETA of approx 5 pm. He arrived about 5:40 pm. A call and offer to reschedule if this was inconvenient would have been nice.

Mike did a terrific job of diagnosing, cleaning mower under carriage, removing oil from carberator and replacing oil soaked air filter and getting the mower to work. Actually works better now than it did originally. It was not an easy fix since he had to clean the mower up before he could work on the repair. Work done as promised and completed on my short time frame. I would recommend
