BRT Home Inspections & Radon Testing
We worked with Dave on two home inspections, actually. He inspected a home we almost ended up purchasing, but there were too many structural issues in the basement that came up. That house had a lot going on being an older home, and Dave stayed for about three hours with us to inspect it. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgable and was always more than happy to answer the many, many questions we had as first-time home owners. When we found the next home, which we ended up purchasing, we called Dave again, and he was kind enough to give us a discount being that the second inspection happened so soon after the first. Working with Dave was very pleasant. He is professional, friendly and flexible with his hours. We're very happy with the work Dave did on our inspection and for the tips and advice he provided. It's good to have the report he generated on hand so we can look back and make sure we take care of all of the little things he noted, as well! We would recommend Dave to anyone who needs an inspection!!

    Moldman
The two techs arrived promptly, worked efficiently and finished the job completely in about four hours, which was surprisingly fast and a testament to their work ethic and professionalism. I got five estimates for this work and Moldman had the best price, methods, and guarantee.

JT came out promptly, did a thorough inspection and a detailed estimate. His son and Marco came out the next week and worked a very long day covering objects and removing the damaged material. Everyone, including phone staff were courteous and pleasant to deal with.. They left fans going and returned two days later to take the rest of their equipment. Everyone answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

    A & B ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRUCTION Inc.
A & B had good follow through from initial appointment to finalizing the quote. They removed possibly asbestos contaminated vermiculite from the attic and the loose insulation on top of it in an older bungalow. They set up appropriate precautions to make sure there was no contamination of the lower floors. The work was done in a day and half. The attic passed inspection with no issues.

    Bluestone Environmental Inc
Great service from the initial estimate to the completion of the job.  They were all professional and timely with all of their communications.  Whether that was arriving on time or communicating they were on their way.
They got the job done as promised and left our crawlspace with a tarp.
I would highly recommend these guys if you're in need of their type of services.
    Thanks guys!

    Bluestone Environmental Inc
I contacted Bluestone on a Monday evening and they got back to me right away on Tuesday morning. They were able to have someone come out the same day for an estimate.
Later that day, Ron stopped by our home to look at our basement. He documented the locations of various bits of asbestos he found. Not only did he give the basement a once over, but he also went around our home to peek in the registers to ensure that none of the tape/insulation was in those area. He explained to us everything that would be involved in the process including that within Cook County, a $200 permit would be required, and that it would me a minimum 10-day wait due to needing a permit. We would also need to have an air-quality test performed before they would tear down their work space, provided by a 3rd party company that would be an additional charge.
Ron sent us an estimate later that day. While it was higher than were hoping it would be, we felt it was within reason for what was needed. Plus, you can't put a price on peace of mind removing asbestos from your home.
We signed the contract and returned it to Bluestone. Kate called me right away to set up a start date and offered to call and schedule the Air quality team to come out on my behalf.
11 days later (due to the Permit wait) we were ready to begin.  William and Kareem showed up exactly when they said they would, we very courteous, and walked through the process with me one more time, including pointing out all of the asbestos they saw needed to be removed. They proceeded to set up their containment area, and remove the asbestos. A few hours later, the air quality team showed up and ran their tests and gave us a clean reading. All of the containment area was torn down and removed from the house. William walked me through the basement showing all of the areas that were cleaned.
Start to finish, they were here less than 5 hours, and if you hadn't seen them here, you would have never been able to tell. The place was left exactly how they found it (minus the asbestos of course)

    Mold Solutions
    It went great!
He was extremely thorough in his assessment of the damage - he went into the small spaces in the closet to determine how much mold was growing back there.  He gave us a detailed explanation of the growth that we had, and also did thermal scans to check the walls for any possible dampness.
He gave us a quote for the work that we need to get done (tearing out some of the drywall and treating the growth).  We are planning on using them for the actual mold remediation towards the end of winter.  We want to wait until the spring rains to make sure there isn't any new leakage.
He was on time, thorough, very professional, and seems reasonably priced.

    Crawlspace / Basement Waterproofing Solution
I liked them a lot at first. He did a good job on the work he did. He also does spray foam insulation and I asked him to do that in the crawlspace. He said he could do it for $2,400 but I would have to give him a $1,200 down payment. I wrote him a check for $1,200 a year ago and he hasn't come back to do the work. My wife and I have both called him several times to get our money back. I paid him for what he did and I was satisfied with what he had done. I forgave him in the beginning because there was lots of flooding in the area. He kept calling and saying that he would be over but he never came. Then he stopped calling. I would still like him to do the work if he would show up. I liked the guy. He had a good personality and was nice to do work with. The original work was good and I liked it. It was a real good price for the original work. I paid between $12,000-$15,000 originally. It was a good deal because itt was a big job and I had no problem with the price.
