    Mario and Sons Remodeling Corp
Horrible. The house is 90% updated, pictures will do better to explain. The project was contracted for an 8 week renovation starting June 12, 2017. Contract stated Mario and Sons would assist in packing and unpacking (they did not) Contract was signed on May 28, 2017, no permits were applied for. Demo took place in June, and no work was done in July... NONE. This forced us to rent an apartment for an additional month costing us an additional $3000 while waiting for permits The job remains incomplete to this day. Mario and Sons failed every permit inspection. We fired Mario and Sons in early December 2017 following multiple promises to finish. 6 months later. My mother's bedroom furniture was taken by 911 Junk. Mario and Sons refused to recognize this fact; This forced us to contact 911 Junk to find out where they deliver their furniture. We found 2 pieces at a resale shop in Chicago. Mario and Sons flooded the basement during the ceramic floor install. This ruined storage boxes and some furniture bases. Sub-contractors didn't get along with Mario and Sons and did not follow through on fixes we requested (see pictures) Mario and Sons would have subs arrive without bringing materials. Materials would arrive late in the evening, and dropped in the middle of the hallways after my 93-year-old mother moved back in. Mario and Sons use ProSource of Elk Grove. Never ever hire anyone that uses THAT ProSource.. Demand they use the Chicago location. Elk Grove lost all of our choices; screwed up the re-order, didn't reorder all the items needed. Never called to double check, AND.. AND... delivered kitchen cabinets via truck without checking if anyone was onsite to unload the truck. We had to unload the truck (the client). Their designer blamed an outdated computer system for ordering the wrong size cabinets in the wrong configurations. REALLY, REALLY AWFUL. Is that enough? There is so much more. About the pictures, I could only add 10, and I have hundreds. First picture is June. All the rest begin in August. New details: The undermount kitchen sink and dishwasher were both improperly installed.

    New Stone Design
I liked their price and I liked the product, the counter-tops are nice. The only problem we have is that the sink scratches very easily. Its not like we are scraping it clean or anything like that, its just with the utensils going in the sink that scratches the sink. The installation went well. I told them which design I was looking for. I asked the owner a number of times to send me a quote and hed send it and it would be incomplete or it wasnt the right information so we had to go through that process a few times.

    Homewise Remodelers, Inc
I called Homewise even before I closed on a house recently because I had a short timeframe in which to complete a kitchen and bath renovation. I wanted it to be done before the school year started. Not only did Mirek work with me quickly, he helped me to understand what we could and could not do in that time. He also set reasonable parameters around cost/budget that were clearly stated from the outset. To start, he met me at the house and walked through everything I wanted. Cost was certainly an issue but so was quality, as the house was very dated and we wanted to bring it up to a more contemporary look. Mirek made great suggestions in the kitchen in particular that enabled our galley space to look more polished and refined than I had thought possible. Afterwards we received drawings and a detailed proposal and budget. It was higher than I had planned to spend, but it was a very fair and honest quote. Nothing in it was inflated or unreasonable. We ended up agreeing to the full proposal. In the kitchen we gutted to the walls, and replaced all cabinets and most appliances and all plumbing/accessories. In the main bath, we gutted an old tub and surround cover and replaced it with an elegant walk in shower with pebble tile base. Also replaced main vanity, counter and light. Cabinets and the granite counters were, frankly, nicer than I thought we'd end up with in this house. In a basement bath we retiled the floor and shower surround. More than all of the wonderful aesthetic assistance I had, the workers that were in my home started early, stayed all day, cleaned up every day, and left the space in wonderful condition, considering the amount of demo and work we had done. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. Also, their work was of a high quality. Things like grout being put in evenly and without cracks, cabinets drilled in evenly, and light installs and plumbing were all done well. We have lived in the space now for several weeks and it all continues to impress me as nothing has changed my mind on the overall quality. I have had renovations done before in other homes and there were always problems, to the point that I dreaded calling anyone to do anything for me. Homewise Remodeling changed that for me completely. I would not hesitate to use them again and have already referred them to several friends looking for home remodeling assistance. Thank you Mirek and your whole team for exceeding my expectations and helping us to make this house into a home so quickly. I am truly happy with everything and grateful for all of your help! K&A Remodeling

Ali, Kamel, and their crew were wonderful to work with.  They arrived promptly every day of the job and used drop cloths etc to keep dust and debris to a minimum.  All work was performed expertly with some very thoughtful touches.  We hadn't expected the baseboard but certainly welcomed it when it was provided.  Communication was excellent.  They kept us abreast of the progress of the work and were careful to ask our preferences where appropriate for installing items.   Moreover, they were very congenial and easy to work with.  Overall, the result was much better than we expected.  We feel we received good value for our money and would not hesitate to call K&A again for any further remodeling needs.  And we certainly would recommend them to anyone else in need of remodeling work.

    Neighborhood Remodelers

We were very pleased with all the work that was done.  Luke, the project salesman, came to our house in mid-March to evaluate what we wanted to be done, and he emailed us a detailed proposal that same day.  He said that they'd be able to start the project in May, and estimated the work would take 2 weeks.  He also left a binder of information including licenses, insurance, suggested stores to buy materials from, and lots of references.  The quoted price was very competitive, and we accepted.  A couple weeks later, the team that we'd be working with came to our house to review the project:  Luke, project manager Bill, and project foreman Mario.  We then bought most of the materials ourselves from 2 of their recommended stores, and those stores were very helpful and gave us nice Neighborhood Remodelers discounts.  The project started in late May.  Mario and his assistant Adrian arrived at 8:00 each morning, and usually worked until late afternoon.  They were very nice, and their work was terrific.  They even did a couple of other things for us, including installing an exhaust fan in another bathroom, and installing a new railing.  The project was completed on time in the promised 2 weeks, on budget, and with little disruption to our lives.  And they didn't leave a big mess for us to clean up.  The bathroom looks fantastic, and everything is functioning well.  We have nothing but positive things to say about Neighborhood Remodelers, and we'd definitely use them again for any future remodeling projects.

We're using them now for a project and so far they're excellent. They're local to me. They're doing an install for me tomorrow. Everything was exactly as I have asked and a little quicker than I even was told. Their timing was even better. My client was very happy with their customer service. They cut the material and my tile service install it. Tomorrow, not only did the cut it but they're actually doing the counter top install. Considering its a small amount, the sales person was very helpful to my client. He took the time. They came out exactly at the time that he said for measuring and understood exactly what I want as a contractor. Their turn around time for actually fabricating and setting up for the install is a little bit quicker than they anticipated. I don't really have a real long track record with them. There was one edge they got to come back and just do a little touch up which is not a problem.

    Masters Kitchen and Bath
Started by visiting their store, where there was a great selection of stones and tiles.  The selection and designs they have in the showroom was significantly better than any of the department stores we went to, and even a much larger specialized stores.  Sanja helped out with selection based on the cabinets and the wall color.  After the selection was done Tomas came out and did the measurements.  He was right on time and a pleasure to talk to and gave us some very good ideas. It really helped having someone with his experience come and not only do the measurements, but give you the suggestions on how to maximize the design.  BTW, I used his company MKB in the past for a complete kitchen install - couldn't have been happier.
About a week later he showed up with the granite and tiles and did the install.  What I liked the most is that they have their own people that come do the work, and not outsourcing it!  The guys were friendly, always on time and done ahead of schedule.  And the work they did was truly exceptional.  After the install was complete Tomas himself came out to make sure that everything is done correctly and up to his standard.  You have to value that!  I can't tell you how happy I was with the install and the final result!  I will definitely use them again!

    4Ever Remodeling
While we live in a comunity known for its large apartments, we had fairly modest expectations of our own remodel, something on the order of - let's just get a kitchen that works! However, the ideas we got from 4ever remodeling went well beyond our utilitarian plans and not by way of encouraging us to spend more but to consider things like the impact of wood grains and cabinet styles
in the context of a 30-year-old building. Throughout, I was given as much advice about wher we could save money on our kitchen as on how to make it attractive.
I had never expected to get the kind of sophisticated design concept that Damian offered for the kitchen.
The end result is perfectly beautiful and functional.
Bumps in the road: altough none of the following had to do directly with the project in question, it was affected by several things.
Much of our wiring needed to be upgraded, old water pipes were blocked and leaked, a water heater died, and the furnace had to be replaced. 4ever remodeling people either helped to resolve these issues or referred us to other tradespeople who in every case,
were well-qualified, thorough and charged fair prices.
We would use this company again in a heartbeat.

    iBuild Inc
I contacted I build for a estimate along with a few other local contractors. We were looking to complete a full remodel to our bathroom and change our tub to a walk in shower with a bench seat. Out of the four companies that we contacted I build was most responsive to our questions and provided some great design concepts as well as having competitive pricing. We choose to hire Ibuild and worked with the salesman/project manager named Tony who worked with us from start to finish. They did a great job and were so clean I could barley tell that someone was even working in my home. The project came in right on time as they had told me during my initial estimate, they completed my project in just under two weeks. They made the purchasing of all the finish work so easy since they have access to all of the key components that we needed to complete our project. One great thing about ibuild is that they are a reseller of cabinets so I purchased directly through them which save me time and money having to work with someone else on design and pricing. I would recommend I build for any major renovations as I'm sure they will take as much care and pride on your job as they did mine. Thank you ibuild for giving us the bathroom we were looking for!
