I spent about 45 minutes there on a Friday, giving them time to appraise the vehicle. Even spent a few minutes chatting with the owner, who happened to come in--he was very personable. We finally agreed on a price. I was to return a few days later to complete the sale. I was not convinced they would honor the offer, so before taking the time to clean out the car and come in, I texted to make sure they agreed on the price. Their response was positive. I came in to complete the sale and to nobody's surprise, they offered $200 less than the agreed price. This place is the stereotypical used car dealer: they are dishonest, and they prey on those who don't know any better or don't have much choice in where they buy their cars. I walked. The accounting manager, Nick, had the nerve to lie to my face about the price HE agreed to three days prior, and had the gall to ask me, "why would l argue with you over $200?" STAY AWAY. DISHONEST LIARS.

I did a test drive in the car and I really thought that it was nice I liked it and we sat down to talk price and I saw it online so I knew what they were asking, the asking price of it  so she done something on the computer goes to another room to get the print out and comes back and sits down and tells me well here is the price which she is showing me is two to four thousand over on what I saw online I think about two thousand over and say we are going to give you a discount on it and show me the exact price that they advertised it online and then says oh she told me this while we were driving too and I just couldn't believe she was really, that I was understanding right but when she did this price list thing and I saw and this is  when I walked out of there she said and then there is nine hundred and ninety five dollars is for the inspection and I said what are you talking about and she said what inspection and she said when we bring a car in we take it as a trade in or whatever we do an inspections to make sure there is nothing wrong with it, we clean it we do an oil change and stuff and you have to pay for it nine hundred and ninety nine dollars I said if you took the car in from someone else you can't sell it if you don't know if there is something wrong with it, your gonna sell somebody a car that has bad brakes and let me drive out like that this is part your getting a car ready to sell you can't just take car an say it doesn't work then bring it back and we'll find  out what's wrong and charge you, in the fact what she is telling me was I should pay what she wanted me to pay nine hundred and ninety nine and then they found nothing wrong they didn't do anything to the car so they expect me to pay nine hundred and ninety nine dollars for what I consider a car wash and an oil change.

She was passing whatever cost to inspect the car that was brought in to them trying to get an extra thousand dollars well I said I didn't ask for this inspection I didn't ask for you to change the oil for a thousand dollars and I'm not paying for that and she said well it's already been done it's non negotiable so I say okay bye and I got up and left.

GOLF MILL FORD "Number One Ford Dealer "Illinois"
I wrote a review about a week ago for Golf Mill Ford in which I described how my GPS had been stolen from my car while at Golf Mill Ford.  When I purchased the car, included in the deal was a tow hitch and roof racks.  I returned to the dealer today and the service department was fast and efficient.  However, upon returning home I realized that one of my floor mats was missing.  Apparently this dealership thinks stealing things from peoples cars is some sort of entertainment.  The rubber cap was also missing from the trailer hitch which they have assured me can be mailed to my home.

When I wrote the last review, someone from the dealership replied bragging about the top notch sales and all of the awards this dealership had received and how they provide great customer care and service.  If you look through the various reviews from the dealership, you will see that they "copy/paste" a  canned response to all complaints.  They don't even car if people complain.

Don't believe anything good you hear about Golf Mill Ford.  They are the most arrogant unprofessional car dealership I have ever worked with.

GOLF MILL FORD "Number One Ford Dealer "Illinois"
I went to Golf Mill Ford to look for a Ford Flex and purchased a Flex with 20,000 miles on it.  I traded in my Ford Transit Connect.  I realized after purchasing the new car my GPS and transponder were still in my van that I was trading in and called Golf Mill Ford to ask the sales person to please grab my GPS and transponder from the trade in and hold them for me.  They said "no problem" this "happens all the time" we will get it for you and have it at the front desk.  The following day was 4th of July holiday and the dealership is closed on Sunday July 5th.  I called the dealership a number of times on Monday, got put on hold, voice mail, etc. and decided to drive over and ask about the GPS and tollway transponder.  I met my sales person who said, I'm sorry, the van went out for detailing, please call us tomorrow and we should have the car back and can get it from the vehicle for you.  I was again assured that everyone is "very honest" and I would have my GPS and transponder back in no time.  On Tuesday I called the dealership multiple times and wasn't able to connect with my sales person so I spoke to the sales manager.  He assured me that they had my GPS and transponder and I could come and get it between 7:30 and 8:00pm.  Although I had planned to go to a concert with my boyfriend, I apologized to my boyfriend about missing the concert and went to get my GPS and transponder at 7:30.  When I arrived I waited for about 20 minutes and no one would help me.  I finally asked for the sales manager and he was on the phone clearly being chewed out by a customer and making angry faces and swearing while the customer was on hold.  I walked over when he finished his call and introduced myself asking for my GPS and transponder.  Suddenly my sales person (who I had been told had the day off) appeared with an envelope containing only my transponder.  I asked about the GPS and they said there wasn't one.  I said of course there was.  It was in the little cubby above the dash board.  They said no, it was empty.  I said then it was stolen.  They laughed at me and said no - you never had one.  I said I most certainly did and I'm going to have to file a police report as it would appear it has been stolen.  A number of the sales people heard the commotion and came over to listen.  They started laughing at me.  I told the sales manager I would file a police report about the stolen GPS and had a good mind to return the car as it is very dishonest to steal from customers.  He said you can't return the car.  I said oh really?  We'll see about that and left the establishment.  I filed a police report regarding the theft and the officer told me he has had dealings with them in the past and they are arrogant a*holes.  He will attempt to recover the GPS.  There are security cameras on the grounds at the dealership as well as at the detailing facility.  In addition, there is a national database and since I had the serial number of my GPS, they would input the serial number and when the GPS is turned on, they will be notified and recover the stolen GPS.
Unfortunately I still have to go back to the dealership as they are to install top side rails and a trailer hitch (thank goodness I got it in writing in my contract).  I'm just wondering how difficult they are going to make getting the parts and work done for me.

I had a Saturn, they were a Saturn deal, and they will maintain them for as long as they are on the road. They did what they said they were going to do in a timely fashion. They didn't push anything extra. He tried very hard to find coupons to reduce the bill.

I am a woman, and was shopping alone for a car. The previous 3 dealerships I had gone to had either ignored me or treated me like I had no idea how a car worked. At every single one their first question was what color I was looking for. Seriously.
I contacted Martin Nissan after seeing a few favorable reviews for them, and made an appointment to go test drive a car. I was met by James Culpepper, who was very straightforward with me, asked me what I had been looking at and what I wanted in a car. He took me out to see what they currently had on the lot and showed me all the features on the car, including opening the hood and talking about the engine (which no other dealership did). We took the car out for a test drive and on returning to the dealership I thanked him for his time and said I would think about it, expecting to get the and quot;what can we do to get you in this car right nowand quot; speech. He didn't pull any tricks and gave me his information and told me to call him whenever I liked.
I ended up liking the car so much I returned on a Saturday to buy it. The weather was good and there were a lot of people there, but James took care of me and got me into the car I wanted. They had one on the lot that was exactly what I wanted but with an accessory package I didn't need, but was a nice bonus. We negotiated for a while - I gave a reasonable amount to purchase the car at based on my internet research and they agreed to it. The only snag was that there were so many people there it took a while to sit down with the financing person, so there was a bit of a wait. I told them what my bank had offered as a financing rate and they managed to beat it. The financing manager was good at explaining what everything meant and was very clear in answering my questions.
With a new car purchase they offer free lifetime oil changes as well as free lifetime car washes, which is a great deal as well as good business sense. I previously had brand loyalty to a different manufacturer, but I think I may now be a Nissan customer for life.

The overall experience sucked big time. I would not trust anything this dealer says. Arrange your own financing in advance, and if you are buying a used car, make sure you check out everything that comes with the car including spare keys. If they sell you an extended warranty, make sure they put their promise in writing to be responsible for repairs in the 30 day period prior to the warranty kicking in and if they keep the car for service MAKE THEM provide you with a free rental.

I would say it was a pretty average experience and I got a good deal. I was totally under the gun as I had to buy a car because the one that I had prior was in a wreck. They knew that and they didn t even try to take advantage of me so I was pretty happy.
