  • He spent some time with me talking, going over the medications I was on, talking about my general health and asking if I had any questions.  He then gave me a very thorough exam, much more than my regular primary has ever given me.  He is a very pleasant person, and one will feel very much at ease with him.

  • All went well as usual.  Any medical visit/procedure is always as comfortable as can be.  The office is pleasant, the staff are friendly and Dr. Yu is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and friendly.  I have been seeing this doctor for 7 years... I had infertility issues and my husband and I wanted to have children (this is how I first started seeing Dr. Yu).  I have two lovely children now, so we absolutely love Dr. Yu and his office for making our dreams come true!

  • Very well organized office. The procedure was in the office, on time and went exactly as I was told it would go.
I received a prompt and complete report. I would refer my friends there.

  • Everything went great.  I will not go  into detail about it all, because I was actually out for it all.  He called me within two days to let me know that everything came back normal and he will see me again in ten years.

  • This eye surgery and the subsequent recovery period was one of the worst experiences of my life. After the initial examination Dr. Weiss recommended surgery for ptosis. While it was worse in the left eye, he assured me that I had the problem in both eyes and should have both corrected. The horrific surgery not only did not correct the problem, it left jagged scars on both of my eyelids that are still visible (5 years later) if I don't wear eye makeup. He made incisions through both my eyelids and I had around 20 stitches in each lid. My entire face was swollen for weeks and he later thought that I was possibly allergic to the silk thread he had used. After realizing that I STILL had a drooping left eyelid months later he offered to do the surgery again. I instead went to Dr Gary Lissner at Northwestern who did another much less invasive surgery on only my left eye and corrected the problem. I was completely back to normal in just a couple weeks. In my opinion Dr. Weiss was also quite arrogant and cocky. I do not recommend.

  • I have been knowing of her for about 4 years. She listens very carefully and is attentive. She addresses all issues concerned. I don't feel like I have a time pressure or that I am interrupting. She starts dialouge to make sure she can help you out as best as she can.

  • Dr. Botsoe is one of the best physicians I've ever had and definitely my favorite. She is everything I think a good doctor should be - patient, warm, friendly, compassionate, respectful, knowledgeable - I could go on and on. When I had a surgery with a different doctor, she knew I would be at that hospital and went out of her way to stop by my hospital room to see how I was doing. There had been an issue during my stay with some poor care I received and when I told her about it she immediately followed up with the staff to address the matter because she cared. More than I can say about the surgeon who's visit lasted about 15 perfunctory seconds.
She always, I mean always, makes me feel like she has time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and genuinely cares about me. Never rude, cold, impatient, dismissive, paternalistic, or condescending. I've never left her office feeling disappointed in the care I received, and I've been seeing her for several years for a number of issues. I have always been able to get in to see her when I needed to, sometimes same day, and usually within a week at most. When she writes a prescription it's faxed to my pharmacy before I leave the office or very soon after. Never had a billing or payment problem. Just a really good person and great doctor.

  • I have gone to her for about six years. She is wonderful. She listens, explaines, and right on the nose with her diagnostics. If I am ill she sees me the same day and it is easy to get an appointment.

  • Dr. Frymark and his nurse were absolutely great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. However, the office staff have room for improvement.  The 'office manager' Anna worked very hard at being condescending and trying to make sure that I knew that she is indeed a better person than I or anyone in her office.  Very difficult to deal with this type of person anywhere, especially at a doctor's office.  Her office made an error that cost me money and caused me problems, and not only was she not willing to work with me, she just barely stopped short of calling me a liar and a deadbeat.  Their actual billing folks are in a separate office and were very easy to work with and good communicators.  If they got a new office manager, I'd be more likely to recommend this practice to a friend.

  • I received a diagnosis of Nephrocalcinosis from the ER, and followed up with Dr. Elahi. I saw Dr. Elahi two times, and a comprehensive test was ordered through Litholink. Throughout my entire experience with Dr. Elahi I was having frequent urinary bleeding and considerable pain. I was unable to stand straight or lift my legs enough to walk and was "shuffling" around. At my first visit (after sitting in the waiting room more than an hour past my appointment time) I provided a CD of an ultrasound and KUB that had been recently performed at the hospital, and she told me she didn't know how to read them and asked me to get the written report. After my initial appointment I called Dr. Elahi to report bouts of severe pain and thick bloody urine with clots. She made me feel like I was bothering her and had no interest in seeing me. She told me it probably wasn't as much blood as I thought it was. I re-visited the ER a few days later because the pain and bleeding was worsening and I reported to her the stones that were found, their size, and where they were located. On my 2nd and final visit with the doctor we reviewed my Litholink report. She said that I probably needed to be put on medication but that she wouldn't put me on medication and said she would explain why, but she didn't even after I reminded her. She said that she was surprised that the findings were contrary to her original opinion that my kidney issue was related to Ulcerative Colitis (due to the make-up of the stones), but when I asked her what was causing the problems I was having, she said Ulcerative Colitis which completely contradicted her previous statement. She said my urine output was very low and that I needed to drink more. I told her that I am drinking 6 to 10 - 8oz glasses of fluid daily and asked if there could be a different cause for the low output and she said no and to double my current intake. She told me to reschedule to see her in 8 months. I objected due to the level of pain I was having and I told her I needed her to address the issue I was currently having, she said I just needed to drink more and probably cut down on my salt. 3 days later I was in such severe pain I thought I was going to die. I was rushed to the ER, and was subsequently admitted to the hospital for 4 days. I had an obstruction from a stone and my kidney was so infected I was told I could die of sepsis if I drank too much and the stone managed to drop into my bladder. I was on serious antibiotics for 2 weeks before the final surgery to remove the stone and clear the debris from my right kidney. After nearly 70,000 dollars billed to my insurance, I now have to pay nearly 2,000 out of pocket. Had Dr. Elahi done her job correctly, I feel that I would never have needed to be admitted to the hospital. Not to mention permanent damage by way of scar tissue in my kidney and ureter.
