Set up a time to give estimate to cut down ash tree, provider did not show up. Set up another time for estimate, and provider was again no call/no show. Finally, after a third appointment, provider showed up to give estimate on tree removal. No good excuse was provided for not showing up to two previous appointments.
Scheduled removal of tree, provider did not remove tree, or communicate anything at all. Scheduled tree removal AGAIN, and still provider did not show up to remove tree, and did not call.
    4 times no call/no show
I practically begged D Ryan to take my money, and he flat out refused in an insulting way. Tree was not very big, this was a slam dunk job for anybody with a chainsaw, chipper, and half a brain. I wasted plenty of time, but thankfully no money.

Provider scheduled work, then cancelled work due to weather without notice. Weather was not a surprise, and at least one day's  notice  should have been given.
Poor communication, weather is not an excuse for that.

WOW! Manage Scapes continues to exceed my expectations. I have used other lawn care companies in the past and never have I had the service, personalization, and gorgeous lawn that I have now. Our yard needed a lot of love after we moved into our new home as it sat empty for over a year. Manage Scapes was a one stop shop. They took care of everything I needed from landscaping to grass maintenance and brought my lawn back to life. I can't even tell you the last time I saw a weed. Very professional and reliable service at a GREAT price. I'll never use anybody else!

I contacted Pine Landscaping and scheduled an appointment for 8/25. Anthony failed to show, nor did we receive a call. Being as we live in a semi-rural area, I have experience with no-shows when they look on a map and see how far we may be from them. Annoyed, I contacted Pine Landscaping the following day, leaving the message that we didn't appreciate being left hanging and if I didn't hear back from him by the end of the weekend, I'd be writing a scathing review on Angie's List.

Anthony returned my call shortly thereafter and explained he left a message at 1:00pm the day before. And, I explained to Anthony that he didn't call my number...but he got the number right this time. Regardless, mistakes do happen and we made an appointment for the following Monday, 8/29.

Anthony arrived in a timely manner and we went over our list, which was given to him to take. In addition to discussing our issues, Anthony pointed out a couple of other items of concern. As Anthony said he was sorry to point these things out but he just wanted to be honest, we were intently listening as we know next to nothing when it comes to plants. Anthony stated he would have an estimate to us in a few days and I wrote down my email address for him...so he had the correct spelling. Before leaving, Anthony acknowledged that he did, indeed, call the wrong number.

Afterwards, hubby and I discussed our time with Anthony and his apparent knowledge. We'd received conflicting information regarding a couple of burning bushes and were feeling confident Anthony would be the one to steer us right with our landscaping. We anxiously awaited his estimate.

After waiting over a week and no estimate, I contacted Pine Landscaping and was told Anthony just mailed a bunch of estimates; perhaps mine was one of them. No problem; I'll wait. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from Anthony. He stated he sent his estimate via emal to the address I wrote down. I didn't receive it; please send again. He said the estimate, if he remembered correctly, was $14,000. I said O.K., and asked if the estimate has the price broken down. What did I mean? Well, how much for the tree removals and the installation of a new tree; how much for pruning of the trees; how much for the new plants...Frankly, I thought to myself, this is the first time a landscaper didn't itemize his bottom line number and I'm having to explain it. Never mind that his estimate is two to three times greater than either of the other two estimates we've received for the same work. Anthony seemed surprised I was asking for a breakdown of the price (oh, you want it that way?), but said he would resend the estimate as requested.

Upon hearing Anthony's verbal estimate, my husband flat out said, and quot;He doesn't want the joband quot;. I have to agree for as of this writing, we've received no written estimate.

Anthony may or may not have the knowledge; we'll never know for sure. But one thing is certain, knowledge isn't worth a hill of beans if you're unreliable. Oh yeah, and Anthony lives a stone's throw away from us.

If you don't mind wasting your time, call Pine Landscaping.

Roman was wonderful to work with. Very conscientious about our budget but talked through possible upgrades to the design including costs and benefits without pressuring us to spend more money.

Committed to calling me back to set up appointment and did not do it. Did not want to cover Dekalb area as advertised.

The price is very reasonable. They do a nice job, and it's a fair price.
