    COOLEY'S HEATING PLUMBING AC
Mike Smith of Cooley's Plumbing and Heating has completed many jobs at my home since 2009 including all new sewer lines, all new copper water lines, new water heater, high efficiency furnace, all new ductwork, new energy efficient air conditioner, remodeled my bathroom and put in a walk-in shower, installed drainage pipes around my home, poured two concrete patios and a sidewalk, insulated my attic, installed an attic turbine vent, and removed a storm damaged tree from my yard I have been very pleased with all of his work over the last eight years and he has always been honest, professional, and reasonable and made sure I was pleased with his work. If I have a problem with my home, I call Mike Smith first because I know he'll take care of it. Great service!

    LD Mechanical Contractors, Inc
I woke up on January 22 with a furnace not putting out any heat. Called LD Mechanical and one of their service men came out within an hour. He did his trouble shooting, found the problem and got the furnace going within 20 minutes of being at the house.

First of all, there is a lot more to a project like this than meets the eye. Up front, they did a lot of leg work, including two visits to my house (I live an hour away from their shop) just to properly size what they were going to bid. They also helped me with utility company incentives and manufacturer rebates, including helping me with the paperwork for a speciali incentive loan through the utility company. Once the installation day arrived (it took two whole days), they arrived on time, took great care with my property, and did a good job removing the old system and installing the new system. They gave me thorough training on the system and tested it several times before pronouncing it working. I calculate that their total man-hours in my project, including paperwork and non-installation related things, totaled between 40 and 50 man hours, so it was a large project, at least from my point of view.
The work was done professionally. They answered all of my questions and took great care with the installation. I would recommend them for similar projects.

    LD Mechanical Contractors, Inc
I called to find out if they could actually perform the service. A representative was out that week and told me to have the kerosene removed. That was the hard part, getting some one to remove this. I got a hold of Future Environmental in Mokena. They did not return my calls. My mom lives there and when I went up there to visit her I went to their office and they gave me a date they would come down to Lerna to do that. After it was all removed I was to call LD Mechanical and while they did not return my call for several days, almost a week or so. I called again and they set up a crew to come out the following week. They were here on time and only took about an hour to remove the tanks. They hauled them up my basement steps and did not nick my walls and it was a tight fit. They put the tanks on a flat bed trailer and hauled them away.

    DUCT BUSTERS
Duct work had to be replaced: used substandard materials hidden in walls/under floors and damaged them severely during installation. Vents shoddily cut into walls. Copper tubing crimped on air conditioner keeping unit from operating properly. Didn't wrap pipes, so condensation dripped through the ceiling and into light fixtures. Refused to answer/return phone calls. No permanent listed address. Much of work had to be re-done by another firm. Improper installation of a window with extremely shoddy carpentry work inside and outside.

    Rardin Plumbing Heating & A/C
It was physical. The workers were really nice along with the owner of the company. The price was fair. It was not a bargain but it was not absorbent either. They are reliable.

    Varner & Rawlings
Work was well done to include a new plenum and followup inspections. We were pleased how energy efficient the new HVAC system turned out. I highly recommend Varner & Rawlings.
