    Absolute Plumbing
One of the mantles on our outdoor gas light crumbled and needed to be replaced.  I was unable to shut off the gas to the light - the valve had "frozen" and could not be turned.  I called in the AM and they came out after lunch and repaired the valve so I could easily turn it on and off - and they did not charge me anything!!!!!  How can you beat that!!

I used one of my outside water faucets to water some plants early Friday morning and when I went to turn it off, it was stuck in the open position.  I called Absolute Plumbing at 7:30 am and asked if they'd be able to send someone over that same day since I didn't want to waste that much water.  Nick was at my house within 25 minutes, turned the water line off immediately, checked everything out under my crawlspace, then clearly explained my options and how much each would cost.  He then replaced my faucet and had everything fixed and cleaned up within the hour.  Amazing!  I will "absolutely" use Absolute Plumbing again!

I had a cracked cast iron main stack located behind a wall in my bathroom, which I  found and exposed, such that work could more easily be done by a plumber.  I called Absolute and set up an appointment.  They said they would be out around 8 AM on the day we agreed upon.  They didn't show up.  At 11 AM, I called and got an answering machine.  I asked if they would still be coming that day.  I never got a call back and they never showed up.  I took the day off of work specifically so I could be home, and lost a day's pay because of their lack of common courtesy.  The deal is this: they have an alright reputation and I am sure they are capable plumbers, but I wouldn't bother with them if you have any issue requiring real work. The likely reason they didn't show up is because they had easier money elsewhere.  Cutting out a cast iron main stack is dirty work.  Why not just let a person know you don't want to do the job up front?

I called them this morning and they showed the same morning. I needed to have the wax seal on my toilet replaced. As it turned out another part, the flange, possibly needed to be replaced. But the technician was able to utilize the exiting flange and install the wax seal as planned. He was well mannered, knowledgeable, punctual and professional.

Look at our septic system which was to be $95.00 and hour.  He inspected it, and since could not do anything, and admitted he did not know how to address the sand filter issue, did not charge us, but provided some information on who else to go to or how else to handle it.  Which we are working on, but his honesty and not charging when he spent quite a bit of time and giving advise was very helpful, and since then had the county health dept out, who said the system is running, and the initial report from the buyer's inspector was wrong.

I was desperate. I had tenant moving in on a Saturday, and I was in a bind. The supply line to the water heater had apparantly frozen and popped loose. I had another plumber (from another company) out earlier that day who quoted me substantially more and was very beligerant. I was then contacted by Chad, who was there within an hour and a half, very polite, and completed the work within two hours. Even though I was on premium time (Saturday), I felt the work was done promptly and professionally, and was priced fairly.

Sewer pipe drain clean out for $463! I have always used aand w because I liked the professionalism of the workmen. However, their prices have been increasing like crazy. Same job in 2009 cost $125. I was out of town and this was at a rental so I did use them. I could do this same job renting a machine for $60 and 1 hour of my time. I also asked for a quote on a flooded basement pump out-- $500!!

Plumber showed up to sweat one fitting on the supply line to my water heater and turn on the water. He seemed really anxious to get started, but I pressed him for his rate before I would let him do any work. He disappeared to his truck and came back with a price of $545.00! This was going to be for fo about 10 minutes work. When I asked him for his hourly rate, he said he couldn't give me one and that they only worked off of and quot;book ratesand quot;. CUSTOMER BEWARE!

Flange they installed leaked.  Tried to charge me twice when they repaired the leak.  Called the business owner and he removed the charge.  Now have stained linoleum that has bubbled up and come loose from the floor due to moisture damage.
Owner explained that a new part emerged since their first installation that would have prevented the leak.  Common sense would indicate that lead and oakum flanges installed in the 1950's have been replaced for decades without incident.  Truth is they screwed up the initial installation, caused property damage, wanted to charge me twice, and did not accept responsibility for the damaged linoleum despite the fact it was caused as a result of their shoddy work.

    Cousins Total home maintenance
Brad is very cooperative and pleasant to work with.
What I like is that his business is TOTAL home maintenance.
He maintains my yard as part of that total maintenance, but he goes beyond mow and trim, doing creative landscaping and work on my house. Last year, he responded immediately to my cries for help when my basement flooded; he tested and repaired my sump pump and got that working again. He also resealed my driveway and the work was excellent. I have other jobs in mind which require his carpentry skills and his creative ideas. Brad has experience in home building, and is a "man of all skills."
Did I say dependable? Yes, for sure. And he closely supervises his workers.
