    My family and I used Universal Moving Solutions to help us move to our new house in Carbondale. It was an in-town move. The crew showed up on time and went to work immediately. If you're hesitant about paying per-hour for moving services, don't be; the guys who showed up worked at a break-neck speed and I was amazed at how quickly they had everything loaded and moved. They were also super polite, helpful, friendly, and the overall cost of moving across town ended up being even less expensive than I had originally anticipated due to how incredibly fast they worked.        I've used moving services before, mostly when I was in the military, and Universal Moving Solutions is by far the best moving company I've ever worked with. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Universal Moving Solutions
    We sold our four bedroom home in Minnesota, and had everything loaded on a U-Haul truck we rented.  Two men from Universal Moving unloaded the truck into our apartment here in southern Illinois.  The men were great--friendly and professional.  Everything was put where I wanted it, and when I changed my mind about where to put something, they patiently moved it again, including a piano, without complaint!  I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to others without reservation.

    01Moving my mother to another assisted living facility in another area of the state - only 2 rooms of furniture.  Had them come load up the Uhaul.  They were just great.  Jason came himself with a helper.  Very quick, very efficient, and really nice guys to work with.  We will be dissasembling a home in the future with several kids coming in loading and packing things up to take to different states.  I will definitely call him again and recommend him to anyone in the area.  Very easy to work with and schedule.  Thanks Jason!!

    Up And Down Movers
    arranged an out of state move on 6/1. I asked owner Aaron to do a walk-through of home. After packing 50% of my things I asked Aaron to do a 2nd walk-through. On loading day, the truck was too small. Although Aaron promised that the cost of my move would not change, I offered additional money to send my belongings via mail/delivery service. We agreed that instead of my company issuing two checks he would wait for a lump sum of new amount. I contacted Aaron on 7/2 and he said his check was received and he was shipping stuff today. It is now 7/25 and Aaron has not returned my phone call and detailed updates. He will text sporadically. I never requested for Aaron to ?hurry up?; my primary request is to get details regarding the arrival of my property because I travel for business. I have wanted tracking info, a receipt that items were sent w/ a date, estimated time of arrival, and the location I will be receiving my delivery, and the delivery service and number of items being delivered. These are all reasonable things to request. On 7/14, I texted Aaron for an update (because he refuses to answer or return any of my calls) and because I only received 3 small boxes from the US postal. These were items Aaron repacked in flat rate boxes. These boxes had my glass awards, trophies, plaques, and a framed certificate. When I opened up the box, there were only 2 awards that were not cracked/shattered/damaged. Aaron (did not call) he texted that it was postal office?s fault. Aaron mailed items without wrapping items in paper/packaging wrap. He opened and repacked boxes.Aaron has a referral program. He promises you he will mail a check. He told me that it was in mail but haven?t received anything. This was on July 2. I have not received anything. Aaron practices are not trustworthy and he promises things are in the mail that are not in the mail. He fails to return calls or provide proper details/proof.On August 5th Aaron texted me a picture of a check that he was mailing. To compensate me for the referral and a fee I was charged to pick up some of my items he shipped through Grey hound. It is now August 13th and I have not received any check. I am also still missing property. US post office never takes longer than a week to mail an envelope so I think this is just my proof that Aaron is involved in dishonest practices.It is now August 13 and I am still missing property. I received additional packages on August 11th through the grey hound bus station. They charged an additional fee to get my things because they had to hold my items because they arrived while I was out of town. Aaron promised 6 boxes and I have record that he only gave grey hound 5 boxes and I only picked up 5 packages.Once I received my things pn August 11 I called Aaron and texted him (because he will not answer my calls) about where my final furniture piece was and the rest of my property (e.g. clothing and luggage). He is now claiming that I have all of my things. Aaron still has additional property of my possession and has been totally negligent throughout this process.This company is not trustworthy. What makes this move complicated is that Aaron repacked and unboxed items before shipping. This means that I do not have a proper count of the number of items that were received. I just have a record of my missing items but it is unclear how manyshippments my boxes will come in. The scary situation is that he is claiming that he shipped my things. Again, I do not have any proof of any of his shippments because he has failed to provide shipping records. He has also messaged via text in ways which suggests the shippment is all together.Greyhound does not split up your shipments. Whatever you drop off is how you receive items. Aaron has been negligent and dishonest about how and when he is shipping items.Aaron will not answer my phone calls but I have a record of him answering a friend?s phone call +and me calling right after to ask about my property. I did not start receiving text from him until I posted a review on facebook and yelp expressing concerning about not having my things. When he stopped answering my phones calls I became suspicious that this was shady business and that Aaron is being dishonest.I am still missing my property and would like Aaron to safely return my things. He has received his check and has cashed it for 5800+ dollars. He received extra money above the original contract. I have not yet received my property. I guess I should add that I am a doctor. I have nothing personal to gain from this situation. This has taken up unnecessary energy and time. I just want my property and for the Up and Down Movers to engage in honest business practices. It is 8/25 and still missing property.

    They moved me half way across the country in just a couple days. Davie is a small business with just one truck. It was slightly more expensive than the other movers, but I was able to have the same people loading my stuff, driving the truck, and unloading my stuff. They did not give me nearly as much paperwork to document what was moved as I would have with other movers, but on the other hand, my stuff was the only stuff on their truck.

    The movers were great. Two of them came to move me from an apartment
    into a house. I packed my own things, but they moved everything,
    including down a flight of stairs. They also stopped off at a friend's
    house to load some of his things as well. They were kind enough to make
    another stop to drop off our dishwasher that we didn't need any more.
    They charge per mile as well as for the moving itself. They were very
    friendly and took great care with my things.

    We were looking for a reliable mover to move furniture from a deceased relative's apartment in New York to Illinois.  Having great trepidation in finding someone reliable after reading reports from other customers regarding their bad moving experience, we picked Moovers, Inc. because they provided a binding quote, we had a referral from another local moving company with great reviews, and the professionalism and courtesy displayed by the staff.  Bonnie who put the quote together and was our contact person was the absolute best person you ever want to deal with.  Because we had a limited amount of time and had to do this at the last minute, she made sure they could fit us in even staying late at work  to call and confirm with us after she received confirmation from their drivers. I can't say enough good things about Bonnie.  She called when she said she would, she double-checked to make sure the drivers called us right before the move, she was professional and on top of all of this, very pleasant to deal with.  The drivers Melvin and Daniel called promptly when scheduled notifying they were enroute and trying to find a parking spot for their shuttle truck, a feat that is indeed monumental in downtown Manhattan.  They arrived on time and proceeded to pack quickly and efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor and banter.  They kept their cool even though it was sweltering in the New York heat having to maneuver furniture some distance from the truck.  My sister and I had been filled with anxiety over this move but all of this was allayed by the swift professional service we received.  I might add that we got several bids from other movers, some seeming too good to be true.  Moovers Inc. was not the least expensive,  but we felt getting a reliable company during this stressful time far outweighed using a less expensive mover.  Our contract was binding and we knew exactly what we would be paying.  The value given for the services provided was well worth it.  It didn't end there.  I received a call from the driver, Mark indicating our furniture would be arriving in a week.  Mark arrived on time and promptly unloaded each item in a short amount of time while taking care of each piece.  He also was a pleasure to do business with and talk to.  We, Midwesterner's think we have the friendliest people but I would have to also add the people from Moover's Inc.  You will not be disappointed if you choose them to help you move.

    I called Davies Transport for a local move less than a mile from a second floor apartment to a ranch house. I was told that the movers could arrive as early as 10am. However, they did not arrive until close to 1pm. Once they did arrive, however, they moved things quickly because they had three men working the job. When unloading, they were careful to put the boxes in their designated rooms and to arrange the heavy furniture in exactly the layout I had planned. When in doubt, they asked me where I wanted things or whether they needed to make an adjustment of a few inches in the furniture arrangement.
