Snow Removal reviews in Buffalo Grove

  • Provider is very inconsistent.  Service during 2013-2014 was fairly good, but this past year was a complete disaster.  Consistently failed to show up as contracted, and service was poor when they did.  Will find a new snow removal company for next year.

  • We were travelling out of town, so I bought the $35 package and asked Raeke's Lawncare to remove the snow a day before we are back. We found that the guys did a great job! The drive way was all cleared up, and we were very happy about their quality of service and responsiveness. Thank you, Raeke's Lawncare. I'd love to use you again!

  • Noland Landscaping did an excellent job. The always arived before dawn and did a thorough snow removal in a quiet, professional manner. I will use them again and I can recommend them without hesitation.

  • They showed up promptly, and did a good job, including getting the piled up snow off the end of the driveway. They are also careful where they put the snow, unlike my across the street neighbor's service, who push all their snow into a huge berm in front of my house.

  • They are good. I wish their snow removal was a little better, but they do the best they can. They charge a little more if there is an excess of snow. They are very reasonably priced. I will continue to use them.

  • They do about satisfactory work. Maybe they did not anticipate the frequency of snow this season, but they were quite late for the removal and did not do thorough job. Considering how late they get to my house (after day and a half on one occasion ) it probably is not worth the service.

  • I called to contract for snow removal for the winter. They quoted a price of $35 per plow with a $15 surcharge if it snowed 3''or more. They would come plow the driveway, sidewalk, and walkway every time it snowed 1'' or more. She told me that they try their best to plow everyone's house by 7 a.m. She told me that I was going to be ok for the storm that was forecast for that night. That they would continue to plow w/o the contract as long as I signed it and sent it back as soon as it arrived in the mail. That night we got 10''of snow. At 9 a.m. they had not yet plowed so we called. David Swanson answered and told us that they were really busy with the storm and that they would come around 1-2pm. Further, he said that this would be a one time thing because they had enough business in palatine and rolling meadows. And to go flag down someone doing a neighbors driveway and contract with them. By 3:30 p.m. it was still not done so we called and told them not to come. We did it ourselves

  • Very unimpressive. Price was $25 higher than their ad because I missed some Nov. 1 deadline, which wasn't mentioned in their ad! Because there were only a handful of heavy snowfalls last winter in our area, they only came 3 or so times. Out of those, one time they skipped us altogether! We called, but they didn't come back to fix the error for over 12 hours, after the evening commute! The other times, they left so much snow on the driveway that I had to go out and re-clear it by shoveling. Now I expect some mess from the city plows, but that's not what this was. This was a layer of an inch or two over about half the driveway, and about 3 feet in front of the garage that was untouched and didn't get plowed at all! If you have to go out and shovel your driveway anyway...why hire a plowing service? Plus, they send you annoying junk mail all year long for carpet cleaning, duct cleaning and other services!
