Driveway Pavers reviews in Buffalo Grove

I had such a wonderful experience with Christoseal. Our driveway had never been sealed and I contacted them to help us make sure our driveway looked amazing. I reached out to them, they quoted me over the phone while I was at work, and I gave the heads up based on the trustworthy conversation I had. The driveway looks amazing. Thank you!

Not good. Had to call several times to just schedule. We were willing to wait just because they had a good rating. But they seem like they are too busy to return the call. After they did the work, within a week, there were several tire marks in my driveway. We had to call more then 10 times and left messages. Finally, I got them replying to my messages through Angies List message. After after about 2 weeks, they did not inform when they are going to come but they came and applied hot flame to remove the tire marks. Not everybody will be this patient and have this much time to keep calling them. I will not use them again. See attached pics. This was taken after they did the work first time and before they applied heat to remove the tire marks. We had about 6 spots like this in our small driveway.

Our driveway was in severe need of replacement.  We got an estimate from American Asphalt and decided to proceed with them.  They showed up at exactly the scheduled time to remove our driveway.  They were in and out in an hour.  The next day they laid the new driveway and it looked great.  Overall phenomenal service.

    De Hoyos Concrete
We signed the contract with Andy (the owner) on 9/18/13 for the above work. I expressed the importance of completing the work timely to avoid the cold weather. Andy said he would complete the work within two weeks after obtaining the village permit. He completed the front porch and the garage floor by early October. I expressed my disappointment with the stamped concrete as it did not look at all how Andy showed on the pictures. There was no visible stamped color at all. He opened up the driveway in early October. There were some delays due to rain, but there were several weeks where the weather was fine but Andy did not come out to complete the driveway and the sidewalk. We could not use our driveway for more than a month before the completion and two weeks after the concrete was poured. He finally came out with the crew and poured the concrete on the driveway and the side walk on 11/6/13. He sealed the concrete a day after. The concrete did not look right immediately. It looked watery, was dark and there were many large oil-looking and water stains.  We paid him the remaining contract price on 11/11/13. But because of the concerns we had, on the same day, we signed an amendment to the original contract which stated that the contractor would  and fix any damages within one year of the amendment. Andy promised us the concrete just needed time to dry and cure and that all spots would disappear. We made sure we did not pour any salt on our new driveway over the winter. The spots and discoloration stayed during the winter. The concrete started braking and cracking after a month or so. Every single slab was affected either with one or more of the following: multiple cracks, pealing, sinking, flakes, slopping, discoloration. I understand that the concrete can crack ,but I have never seen anything like this. Each crack continued to other slabs w/o being stopped with a joint. The concrete floor in the garage sinked in several places, where now we have an issues with rain water coming inside the garage and is very difficult to get it out. We had several landscaping companies coming to our property to do a quote for the landscaping service, and they all said they had never seen anything this bad. They all suggested we replace the driveway first before we continue with their work. We called Andy during the winter, he said he will come out in the spring. We called him in early spring. After several phone calls, he sent out his field supervisor. He examined the concrete and said that this was a major issue they never had before that Andy needed to come out to examine and propose a solution. After multiple calls and promises, Andy did finally come out in June. He agreed that the concrete was not pored properly to have all these issues. However, he completely put a blame on his concrete-mix company. He said he would need to get them out to examine the concrete and they would together come up with the solution. We told Andy the concrete company was his responsibility, not ours, and he agreed. He told us he would call us back with the solution within a week or two. He left and never called us back. We called Andy multiple times per month during the spring, summer and fall. Finally, he took my call on 10/1/14. He told me it was taking him more time to deal with the concrete company as they moved their operations from Illinois to Kenosha, WI. I told him again this was a bad excuse and the concrete supplier was his responsibility and he needed to fix the problem. He agreed and told me he would call me with the solution in a week. He never called back. I reported Andy to BBB and I am writing this review in a hope that Andy would take the proper action to honor our contract. He needs to either replace his poor work or issue us a refund so we can hire another contractor to replace the driveway and other affected slabs on the garage floor and the sidewalk.

    BP Sealcoating and Paving
We went back and forth several times and they kept saying they would come and would then have to cancel. It was a nightmare dealing with them as they said they were backed up and they never really followed up with me.

All American Sealcoats & Snow Plowing
I called them up after looking at the good reviews on AL. They were in the area and stopped by after 1 hour. I was advised th driveway is in good shape and a layer of sealcoating will help maintain it likewise. Since they didn't have to drive back they offered to do it for less than then $100 they charge usually. They were professional and courteous.

    Barreca Blacktop Sealcoating

I had previously patched all of the cracks and other problem areas on my driveway. The patching material was a dark black. So, the patched areas were darker than the rest of the driveway. I wanted to have the entire driveway sealcoated, so the entire driveway would be a consistent dark black.
I was outside when they arrived and I watched them apply the sealcoating. It looked very and quot;soupyand quot; - not as thick as I thought it should be. It was a lot thinner than the sealcoating that you but at the local stores to apply yourself. But, I don't know what the consistency of commercially applied sealcoating material should be.
When the sealcoating had dried, I was disappointed to see that the patched areas still showed though as a much darker black.
I always patch my driveway before it is sealed. When previous companies did the work, the sealcoating always covered the patched areas and the driveway had a consistent black color. Plus, the other companies charged less than Barreca.

I was willing to pay more to get a great result. I paid more, but received an inferior result.

    Stringer Blacktop Sealcoating
Very reliable company. Very easy to schedule the work and they showed up right on schedule. There was one area of the driveway where the sealcoat didn't adhere properly. Just one phone call and they were back the next day to reseal the area. Will definitely be using them in the future.

    American Asphalt Maintenance Inc
The experience was delightful from estimate through completion. The estimate was the most thorough obtained, and was actually the only one that complied with the Village of Buffalo Grove specifications. They would not even schedule the work until the proper village permit was in place. The crew was punctual and professional. They actually thanked my wife for ordering the work even while the economy is so difficult. The driveway looks terrific, and there is not a hint of a mess anywhere. I really can't think of a negative to the experience other than spending the money!
