    The fan on my fridge was freezing up. Had tried defrosting, but not a complete defrost and not for 24 hours. The complete defrost/24 hours worked. They charged me $59 for the consult. If the problem wasn't fixed, Elvis said they could replace the motor and deduct the $59 from the cost of that job (which was estimated to be about $350). I wish they had told me to do this over the phone and to call back if it didn't work.

    Tech failed to diagnosis the issue. He didn't ask any questions about breakdown. Didn't want to talk to anyone while working. He assumed he knew what was issue. Claimed that there was no error code. He lubed the motor and claimed that was the issue. He didn't clean around the motor or any of the easily accessible areas once the access panel is removed. He charged service call amount and claimed he was "saving us money by not replacing something was wasn't broken". Unit worked for a week and stopped cooling again. Called a different firm and they fixed it and cleaned the motor area.

    My dryer failed the night before Thanksgiving. I called Area Appliance and asked when they could come to repair the unit. They said they could be there on Friday morning. On Friday they called me to tell me they were on their way and showed up about 10 AM. The problem was quickly diagnosed (it had the classic symptom of a motor failure) and they had a new motor in the truck. They had the problem fixed within an hour. The service person (Lou) was friendly, helpful and professional. The price was a bit higher than I would have liked, but I looked up the price for a dryer motor repair online and the price I was changed was within the range specified (though closer to the high end then the low end). I did take a point off my review for price - but more because I think repair prices in general are outrageous - NOT because I thought the bill was unreasonable).

    Tech came, took apart the dryer and cleaned inside the base and talked about likely causes for non heating. Diagnosed problem and reviewed cost quote. Also made sure to check connections and possible causes for noise when running. Was very pleased and also asked about exhaust and went out to dryer vent to check air flow. Found that air flow was severely decreased and recommended duct cleaning be done to improve dryer performance. (cleaning either on my own or through another company) Turned out after buying a duct cleaning kit ourselves that there was a huge amount of lint trapped and removing did indeed improve drying!

    Fine. Contacted via on-line request. Tech arrived within the window, identified the problem, and set an appointment for replacement since he didn't have the part. The 2nd appointment went fine also: arrived within the window, replaced the part and it was over. My one quibble might be with price being a tad high but everything was upfront and overt and the cost for the call was deducted from the price for the part. The cost was what they told me the cost would be. All in all, a good experience and I would use again.

    We called G.S.R. and Svilen was able to come out that same day to fix it. During the initial phone conversation he had asked for the model number to ensure he would have the right parts on hand when he got here, I think this is the first time anyone has actually done that upfront. He showed up within the arrival window, and called ahead to let us know he was on his way and how long it would take him to get there. After looking at the unit he thoroughly explained what the problem was, what the solution was and the price. No signals were going from the control panel to one of the key components in the freezer, which in turn was affecting the upper cooling area. He cleaned the freezer unit of frost buildup on back wall and replaced the control board and the refrigerator is running fine now. We are very pleased with the work and so happy he was able to come that same day.
