    Boolman Homes
From the first phone call and visit,  I've had nothing but a positive experience with Boolman homes. Communications were prompt. The workers were efficient and professional. I couldn't believe how fast my home changed from a shack to a home again. I highly recommend Boolman Homes for their service.

Bob ALWAYS does excellent work.  He is thoughtful and solves difficult problems associated with an older home. For this job, the shower enclosure was "difficult" due to the acute roof angle.  He took his time working with me to find the best solution for a  problem we had been wrestling with for many years.
In the past he has replaced other windows, replaced a basement ceiling, installed light fixtures, repaired a front porch decking, etc. It is my feeling that Bob has saved us lots of money by repairing things we may have had to replace, had we not had someone who was able to look at an issue and see something that we did not see. Bob is always a pleasure to work with.  Highly recommended.

    Williamson Concrete
Wonderful. Paul and his crew were the hardest working group of contractors I have seen. They moved with perfect timing and professionalism that is not always seen these days. They arrived on time and began the removal of the old concrete immediatly..The crew worked as a team and were very organized. Any situations that needed discussion, were done among the fellow co-workers untill the decision was reached as a group to solve the issue. Paul was on hand throughout most of the construction to ensure that everydone was done for customer satisfaction.Although the weather was harsh that day, wind and rain, his crew overcame these problems using plastic to cover the work area to make sure the weather would not cause issues with the pouring and smoothing of the concrete.
The construction began on Wednesday, Paul stopped by on Thursday to explain the process of the curing and when we could walk or drive our car on the new concrete.
He also explained the clean up process that would begin on Friday. The crew fixed the yard next to the new concrete and sowed grass seed with the new dirt installed. They also arranged the landscape rocks that had been disturbed. When they were finished everything looked like it had before the construction began, actually it was better with new stoop and pad!
I would reccomend Williamson Concrete to any homeowner who may want to beautify and increase the value of their home.
    Good job Paul.

Initially, it was thought that maybe just a few support beams were water damaged - but after additional and detailed review, there were many areas of my porch that were weakened and the entire floor did not have a good support structure.  Bob was able to accurately find all the issues.  It was a big enough job to remove the entire porch floor, re-enforce the support structure and replace the wood porch planking that a building permit was needed.  The city wanted to "OK" any plans by Bob to repair the porch adequately (& up to code).  Bob was fantastic when working with the City - and after a few different plans and drawings were submitted and reviewed, a plan was agreed upon by myself , Bob, and the City.  The porch floor was removed - six new footings were dug and poured, new support beams inserted, and new floor replaced.  This was an excellent job, Bob was easy to work with, and kept me appraised of his progress.  In addition, I was out-of-town for approx one-half of the work time, so Bob made sure I was aware of all and any issues by emailing me photos and video of my project - as it progressed!  This was great and afforded me wondedrfil piece-of-mind.  Bob is highly recommended and I will be employing him again for other projects !

    ReNew Concepts LLC

Prior to this job, I had never hired a general contractor to work on my home or property. I had either done the work myself or hired sub-contractors to do work beyond my abilities (ie ? masonry). I took time in finding someone I thought I could trust and who seemed truly interested in the job. I signed a contract with Renew Concepts in late July. Initially, Mark planned to complete the job by the first week in September. Work did not begin until the second week in August, but this was expected.

Mark started with tree removal and the removal truck promptly broke down. It sat in my yard with my back fence removed for about 10 days with no progress made on any of the work. I believe the tree work was finished at the end of August.

Driveway and yard excavation was next and this took little time. Unfortunately, weeks passed before any concrete was poured. The garage masonry, dry well, and underground electrical work was done during this time. The excavation, electrical, and well work seemed well-done but constituted only a few days worth of work during the weeks that passed.

The patio and drive were poured in two parts. When the drive was poured, no work was performed during the initial curing process. After 2 weeks (I think) subcontractors came in to complete the garage roof and construction for the garage door.

In October, the yard was then graded and the work was more or less done in the yard except for the clean-up and replaced fencing. Mark began construction of the composite deck and completed the relief cuts for the concrete and the drains for the downspouts. This took weeks.

In early November, Mark completed the new fencing at the back of the yard and between the garage and house. The deck was also completed. Final clean-up was done in mid-November.

All this work was of good quality and met or exceeded my expectations. Mark uses quality materials and is careful about his work and the work of his sub-contractors. The main issue, obviously, is that this job took so long to complete. My first payment was in late July and the final payment was Nov. 30. Mechanical breakdowns, illness, and injuries kept Mark from being able to stay on top of the job and time just kept passing by.

I am a patient person in general, but the passage of time wore on my family and me. Frankly, except for the excavation and concrete, I could have done all of the work in the same time frame for less money. Mark did his best to make-up for the delay. He is a personable and intelligent business owner, but seemed to lack the resources to find solutions to the delays. He was unable to find another contractor to fill in when he was incapacitated and had a limited number of employees that he could trust to do the work to his satisfaction.  Note: when Mark came by recently to fix a problem with the deck, he mentioned that he is looking for a manager. This may solve delay problems.

There are other lesser issues with the work, such as multiple rebuilds for parts of the deck, but these were all solved quickly and to my satisfaction. The cost of the work was reasonable and Renew Concepts goes out of its way to recycle or reuse material, making the job a bit more environmentally sound. Mark was readily available by phone and tried to keep me up-to-date regarding delays and other changes. Even though the work took far too long, I never felt as if I were being scammed or deceived in any way.

I checked that I would not hire this contractor again; yet, the work was good enough that I may be persuaded to hire them again on a small job to give the company a chance to redeem itself.

    Siding By Steve
Had used this same contractor previously in 1/2011 to complete the siding job we contraced for as it was half way complete and the original contractor went into rehab. Steve came in and finished the siding job and was awesome! We hired him back in 5/2011 to do complete windows in the house and had also hired him to do window and door frame wrapping on the house as well. Four of our neighbors have used him as well for siding, windows, doors and wrapping and all love him. This is one of the most professional contractors I have ever had the pleasure to do business with as he is honest, timely, meticulous, reasonably priced (not the highest and not the lowest) and takes pride in his work and his word. Would recommend him to anyone.
