    Ruffles & Purrls Mobile Grooming
This is some of the best grooming we have had over the past 40 hears. Amber just seems to know the right length to cut and how to shape around the head and ears which give our little guy some character, which he is. This is a MOBILE service, she has a van fully equipped for grooming, does not even need a water or electrical hookup, all self contained

They are fantastic. We have gone to them for 13 years. They are a little pricey. The quality is A+ and that makes it worth it. If you need something they get the animals in right away. They are very flexible. They do not have weekend hours. They are always one time. I would use them again. We will continue to use them.

They are fantastic. They are like family. They did the whole check up for both of the animals and we were there for about an hour. For everything!

I did have to bring one of them in after he had a reaction to something, it made his lower lip swell up. The ladies were able to get me in the same day and take care of the issue. I would highly recommend this clinic.

    Frost Family Pet Clinic
We moved to Belvidere, Illinois in July.  Shortly after, our dog Murphy acted as if he was not feeling well.  We checked on line for a vet and based on the reviews, we decided to take him to Frost Family Pet Clinic.
Dr. Frost saw Murphy, as scheduled, and not long into the examination, he suspected Murphy had Cushings disease. We had never heard of the illness.  Dr. Frost took time to explain the symptoms and what would be necessary to confirm his suspicions.  He asked his staff to obtain Murphy's records from our previous vet in the hope that they would not have to redo a recent blood test that the other vet and done.  He did other blood work, took xrays and ran some tests.  He listed options for us to consider regarding Murphy's care.  Dr. Frost was very thorough, and encouraged us to take Murphy to a specialist to insure he got the best care possible.  However, due to additonal findings Dr. Frost referred us to another vet for a second opinion. The vet that Dr. Frost referred us to concurred with Dr. Frost that Murphy actually had a number of serious issues in addition to the Cushings. Anything more that could be done, would have only extended the misery and suffering for our little friend. There was no doubt that we had to let him go. Murphy was with us for fourteen years, and very loved by my husband and I.
We have been to vets that gave you the sense that, while they accepted that people love and become very attached to their animals, they themselves see them strictly as animals.  This is not the case with Dr. Frost.  He is caring, sympathetic, and understands how a pet can transition from just a pet to a much loved member of your family. Murphy's passing was handled with consideration, and kindness. Dr. Frost and his staff were wonderful during this ordeal.  They did everything possible to make Murphy comfortable and alleviate his and our fears.
Shortly after we lost Murphy we received a sympathy card that contained  hand written condolances from Dr. Frost and each of his staff.  Additionally, we received a card acknowledging a donation made by the clinic to the College of Veterinary Medicine for companion animal research in Murphy's name. These gestures meant so much to my husband and I as we grieved for our little friend.
I cannot recommend Dr. Frost and his staff too highly.  They are extremely competent, and knowledgeable.  But they are also kind, and sensitive to their clients feelings and needs - both animal and human.  During Murphy's treatment Sue, the office manager, never failed to call with test results and was very supportive.  The vet techs were careful with Murphy, and tried not to cause him any pain or discomfort.
I have had dogs all my life, and unfortunately, have lost two others.  Dr. Frost is one of the best vets I have ever met.   We are not ready to bring another dog into the family at this time, but will not hesitate to bring any future dogs to Dr. Frost for care.

We waited what felt like forever but when they told us that it was not good news they were very kind to us and my dog. Before we said our final goodbye they provided us with a private room with her so we could be with her before we let her go. I would definitely recommend this clinic because of the way we were treated and the care and gentleness they showed our dog in her final hour.

    State Street Animal Clinic Inc
I moved to this area about 6 months ago and wanted to find a veterinarian. The first one I tried just didn't seem very professional (wearing street clothes, very casual attitude). I next tried State Street Animal Clinic and was impressed with their professionalism. They cleared up a bowel problem very quickly and easily. On the second visit, the problem was my cat's teeth. She does have ongoing dental problems. I was all set to have x-rays and dental done (which can be expensive because you have to have anesthesia for a cat). However, the doctor said that things weren't as bad as I was worried about. He said we could probably hold off for a few months and gave her some meds for her gingivitis. I was impressed with his honesty - he saved me quite a bit of money for now. The office person and assistant I came in contact with were also pleasant and efficient.

They made sure we understood the process before they began. They gave us treats to feed our lovely family pet and water and sat on the floor with us talking about how much we all loved this dog but her organs were failing and no one wanted her to suffer. They let us know what to expect.

I took my Mastiff to Hillcrest Animal Hospital for surgery on her cruciate ligament. I was extremaly happy with the results that i received. I was quoted 1800.00 from a Vet in Belvidere (he would not be doing the surgery himself) but would farm it to another surgeon (whom I would not be able to meet.) At that time i took the advice of a friend and checked out Hillcrest. I had the surgery done. A week or so later my dog developed an infection at home. This was on a Saturday. I took her to the emergency vet in Rockford on morsay drive. They keep her until Monday morning. On Monday morning the surgeon from Hillcrest went over there in his personal vehicle and picked her up (now mind you this is 175 lb dog.) he took back to his hospital, got the infection under control. He keep her until Friday and sent her home with a final bill of 70.00 for this week. To me this does not sound like someone in it for the money. I love this hospital and their staff

Their prices vary. I have an older dog. It's gotten a little bit more expensive because of the age of my dog. I would say that they check-ups was around $200 including all the shots. I feel that they're reasonable. They're very caring. They're very animal-oriented. The people that I deal with are wonderful. Their prices are a little bit higher than some other places. I use them anyway. They're very competitive to others. If I find somebody that I like, I don't switch around. I've had an emergency and there was 10 minutes before they closed and we called them and they took care of my dog. They're very good and very thorough. There have been times when it's been hard for me to afford when there have been bigger expenses. They will say "This is this much and this is this much. This is not required at this time. If you want to come back later." They work with me. They're great. They're there when I needed them. I can get in very quickly. I never have to wait very long if I have to wait at all.

There was something wrong with my pet's eye and they took her in and they gave some medicine. It was costly, $85 for check up and medicine. It was not serious as it was but the drops did help. They're pretty available like if they have an opening, they would get him in. We take our pets there for shots. We like the doctor that originally has the clinic, his name is Dr. Frost. We pretty much liked all the doctors there.
