    Nick's Home Remodeling
We could not be happier with the results. From the start we were impressed with Nick and his team. They pointed out big problems with our original plan that all the other contractors we spoke to missed and we worked together to transform the basement into a beautiful space while still retaining a large amount of storage space. Nick brought excellent ideas from his experience and provided options for us to choose from. He caught details we overlooked and helped us avoid mistakes. The crew was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and hard working. What I appreciated most was how attentive they were to our project. There were no delays and everything ended up on time and on budget which is so rare these days. Plus they are just a pleasure to work with. I strongly recommend Nicks Home Remodeling and we'll bring them back for all work on our home.

Bryan was amazing. He did so much work for us. We recently bought a new house and needed a lot things done and Bryan was a perfect guy for it. He installed a new door out of mud room and built a deck, he also built a doggie washing station for us, painted mud room, installed new cabinets, installed external microwave vent in the kitchen , and so much more. He is very responsible and professional and we would definitely hire him again.

Mark was awesome from the start. His quote was very reasonable. The quality of the work he did replacing the front porch and steps there was of the highest quality. We had no idea that the end result would look this good. He followed up with the replacement of the molding to a side entrance door to the garage; the wood was bad, but in a short time, Mark had replaced it, caulked it and was ready for his capstone: The house has a rear deck the width of the back of the house. The steps on the one side were weak and narrow, not only bowing slightly when stepped upon, but tightly-spaced between the railings. Mark disassembled the old steps and found that the steps themselves were too narrow and not built properly. He built new steps -- reusing the old bannisters -- even squaring the wood to a slightly uneven sidewalk -- and wound up with another piece de resistance of master carpentry skill. This man is so good that he should sign his work. We would definitely hire Mark again. His work is super high quality. And his prices are very fair.

    Nick's Home Remodeling
Nick and his team were fantastic! They blew away our expectations. Nicks recommendations were always helpful and spot on for what we wanted. He was very responsive to any requests and questions, even on the weekends. His estimate was accurate, and he did his best to help us save money on materials wherever we could. One of the things we appreciate the most is how trustworthy Nick and his guys are. When you invite people into your home on a daily basis, you want to feel comfortable having them there. They were always courteous and respectful of our family and home. We had a big project and actually missed having them here when they were done! Our basement is beautiful! We could not have asked for more. We will recommend Nicks Home Remodeling to anyone who needs work done. And we plan to hire him again to do a few other small projects around our home.

Andy helped make my remodeling experience pleasant. His professionalism and expertise are top notch. He has done other miscellaneous repairs and maintenance in my home, including replacing my patio door. He does a great job at a fair price.

A door design considered from a different vendor was installed at a greatly reduced price. The door is satisfactorily installed, although it would have been nice if the minor paint fixes on the siding around the door had been included.

Initially when they were installed things appeared to be okay, however, over time I recognized that Robert's company used interior plywood for an exterior porch which was open to the weather and has consequently started buckling-discoloring along with no longer fitting the door frame as a result. I contacted Robert directly to resolve this problem and he initially replied saying he would come by to review but he has not responded for weeks after my initial email to when he was coming by to review and after two attempts from me to contact it appears he is not going to respond further. I had used Robert for a number of items over the past 3 years so given his reputation on Angie's List this outcome was surprising and disappointing leaving me to have to find another firm to reinstall my storm doors again after paying Robert's firm to perform the same service.

Salesperson visited home and was excellent.  Installation crew was outstanding.  Staining after installation was very good, there was a small glitch in scheduling that resulted in a short delay.  One item was left off order, and required us to call back to obtain.
Overall good experience and we would not hesitant to do repeat business.

Well, I'd like to start by saying that Eric is extremely efficient and professional.  He does everything with purpose and perfection.  An example of this is when he was getting set up to do the backsplash in the kitchen.  He was couldn't find the gas shut off to the stove - so he went down to the basement to find it - and realized that the contractors that finished the basement - walled in the valve.  So, he immediately cut away the drywall and installed an access panel so that we could easily get to it in the future.  Eric is just like that.  He wants to do things right.  I can't believe how much different (and so much better) our house looks with the work that he did!  The doors are beautiful, and we can't wait to enjoy the screened in porch come Spring!  He does great tile work as well!

I also liked working together with Eric as he will always offer his opinion on how something should be done - and most of the time, I followed his advice.  However, there were times when I already had a different way in my head and I found that It was easy enough to talk him into my vision - and on those few occasions, he happily did it my way.

I will post some pictures once I finish painting the trim.

The only reason that I gave Eric a "B" in responsiveness was the fact that his schedule is pretty full - and if you decide to go with him - you need to get on his schedule and you might have to wait a couple of weeks - but you will realize that he is a one-man show and the wait is worth it!  So it is completely understandable.  However, if you write him an email, call him, or text him - he will get back to you within 24 hrs - so he is VERY good at communication.

Also - I need to mention that I feel like his pricing is extremely reasonable.

I would recommend Eric for any job that he feels capable of taking on..  You won't be disappointed.

    Home Fixers
After meeting a handyman and getting a quote in early April we decided to use Home Fixers. This was based on the pricing and the person we met Right before our job was scheduled to begin the original handyman cancelled on us because of some personal issues So Home fixers provided another person to replace him We were in a hurry to get this job competed because we are moving out of state and we made the clear to home fixers. the replacement they sent us was a complete joke He rushed through the whole job, did a terrible job on the shower re grout, left cracked tiles in the shower and didn't tell us, left mold in many shower tiles, did a terrible job replacing trim in the front of the shower and left screws out of the new shower door We ended up cleaning up his mess and fixing his shoddy work ourselves We did complain to Alan at Home Fixers and he did send us a 200 check to compensate us as a part refund for the 1000 we spent We did send Alan several pictures of the crappy job this guy did and he did apologize. But at the end of the day he provided the handyman and should have known this guy is an idiot and does sub standard work
