    Conserva Irrigation
    My journey with Conserva started about a year ago. They came to my newly purchased home to give me a run down of the system, and winterize it for me for the winter. The first trip they made out was the only good one of the whole bunch. In the spring they came out to summerize and start my system. This is when they told me my RPZ would not be able to be put back on and that I needed a new one. Im new to sprinkler systems, and this is an Angie's list certified company, so I believed them. The tech (Scott) came out, and installed the RPZ a few days later. The system worked fine for the whole summer. Fall came, and some one else other than Scott (who had been my tech all since the previous year) came out. I asked where Scott was, and I was told he no longer was with the company. I was THEN told my RPZ was put on improperly and that it was not removable for the winter. OK, wow. So the tech said I should be ok with how it was, but may want to fix it in the future. Wait.....so I need to fix YOUR mistake? I felt slapped in the face at this point. You guys hired this man to work for you, but you will no offer to fix his mistakes? Even after you fired him? Wow. Red flag. So I went back and forth with the office manager, who was always very nice, about getting some one out to make my RPZ right. I was offered $25 off a package, that was it. No one there would acknowledge that this was THEIR ISSUE and that THEY NEEDED TO FIX IT. No way was I going to pay more money for them to come fix what I have already paid for. (RPZ replacement) Finally, after weeks of calling, messages, etc, I got a call back from some one. He was ambivalent to my situation, even though I had left many messages detailing the issues and what had occurred. At no time did he offer to come out and fix the RPZ install, or even start my system for free. He described, over the phone, how to start the system for the year. Well, you can guess what happened when I went to go fire it up for the year. Water shot all over the side of my house and I had a cracked pipe right where they installed the RPZ. Why am I not surprised. I would NOT recommend this company to any one. It would be a waste of time and money to deal with their incompetence, and their disregard for customers. Ive since moved on, and hope this new company will show me how an irrigation business is run.

    I left them a message, got a call back over the weekend and they scheduled to come out the next day between 9 and 11. They were right on time and had it done in under 30 minutes and they're cost was far less than the company I had been using. Not to mention they were super nice and easy to deal with. I'll be using them going forward.

    Naper Lawn Works Inc
    I gave them a call on Friday to set up an appointment for my Sprinkler Turn ON and they said they were going to come next Day and gave me a time window.  They also charged me full amount on my credit card during that call. So Come Saturday, we had to postpone few things to make sure we are available at home and guess what, no one ever turns up. No calls were returned. Complete communication breakdown.  I call them back on Monday and then I was told that the next available appointment was Next week Saturday.  There was no apology or anything of that sort on the call.  I told them to cancel my appointment and refund my money which they did. Complete Disappointment. Very unprofessional.

    Salinas & Sons Lawn Sprinkler Systems Inc.
    Being new to lawn irrigation I wanted to make sure I chose a customer-friendly company that I could trust. When Fabian and Mr. Salinas Sr. came out to look at the lawn for a quote I could tell Mr. Salinas knew what he was doing.  He mapped out where things could go, asked what I wanted and made suggestions for the best solution. (Afterwards, I found out that he has 30+ years experience in lawn irrigation.) After the walkthrough, Fabian said he would have a quote to me that evening. I didn't get the quote but thought since it was spring they were busy so I waited a few days and then called for a status. Fabian had sent the quote the day he said he would but I didn't get the email. We figured out what the problem was and I got the quote right away. Everything looked good so we started moving toward installation.
    Throughout, Fabian was very responsive to my questions and always got back to me whenever I contacted him. Even when I didn't leave a voicemail message he would call me back very soon after I called. I have to complete an association application where I live so I emailed a plat of survey to Fabian and he indicated how the system would be laid out and emailed it back to me. Fabian was available for anything else the association might need and kept in contact with me while the application was being reviewed and JULIE did their survey.
    I was surprised it only took one week between accepting the quote and installation. On the day of installation, everyone was friendly and ready to work. I was glad to see Mr. Salinas Sr. was there and felt comfortable things would go smoothly. The guys knew what they were doing and everyone worked fast and well together. Fabian was there to make sure everything was started and as customer service to me. I asked a lot of questions and watched the installation to see how it was done. Everyone was very nice and answered any question I asked, showing me what they were doing and why. Even though I had new sod laid and it came up very easily when cutting in to lay the piping, the guys made sure everything was laid back down so disruption to the lawn was kept at a minimum.
    After installation, the system was fully tested and tweaked to make sure coverage was correct. We walked through the sequence and timing of each section and everything worked great. Fabian gave me a detailed explanation and setup of the control box which is very easy to use. I can just let the system run through it's schedule or manually run any section whenever I want. It also has a rain sensor so the system doesn't run when it's raining.
    I'm very pleased with Salinas and Sons and will enjoy working with them for support and maintenance of the system. The system works great, is exactly what I wanted and I couldn't have asked for a better company to work with.

    CALL THE UNDERGROUND
    I called CTU on Tues - left a message and was called back Wed Morning.  Service Call/Estimate was setup for Friday morning.
    Javier was out to the house on time.  They checked the area and were able to replace existing heads with slightly larger heads to cover the additional sod in the area.
    This was the 2nd adjustment to a 1 year old system.  I am so happy with this company and their service.  I was afraid that changes would cost hundreds of dollars and changes to the irrigation system (because of my yard changes) have been very reasonable.

    My general interaction with Rain Right Lawn Sprinklers was completely positive. Every time I call, they're always responsive. I know for a fact that the company has only two employees. I was completely satisfied with the service I got with them. What I liked was the fact that they were responsive when I make a phone call to them. I actually rescheduled the appointment and they were responsive in rescheduling the appointment. Every time I dealt with them, it has been a positive interaction.The service they give is what I expect.

    CALL THE UNDERGROUND
    I called this company based upon seeing their service truck in our neighborhood at two different houses.  They called me back the next day and setup an appointment with Mike (the owner) for later that same week.
    Mike arrived on time and walked around our property.  He sat down with my wife and I to explain how their company works.  The estimate was simple enough for us to understand. 
    We decided a couple of weeks later to go ahead with CTU.  They took care of the permit (if needed).  On the day of installation, the plumber works inside while the outside crew begins the digging and installation. 
    End of Day 1 - We had our inside work completed within a couple of hours.  The outside yard looked like a lunar landscape.  We were a bit nervous.
    End of Day 2 -Other than lines of grass that needs to regrow the lawn looks fantastic.  Their crew explained how the system works and I have been able to adjust as needed.
    We had some minor issues during the installation (cut cable lines and stereo speaker lines that I did not mark well enough).  The crew was able to quickly patch up the cut lines.
    I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an irrigation system.

    They were very accommodating. My daughter had used them in conjunction with me years ago. We didn’t really do any price comparison, but it was reasonable. I would call them to open and close the system. I would recommend them.

    Rainmakers Irrigation & Maintenance
    My husband contacted Rainmakers twice to have our sprinkler system turned on and a minor repair done; when they finally called back the first time, he scheduled a time for them to come. I stayed home from work and...no show, no phone call. My husband called them again, and rescheduled for another date. Once again, I stayed home from work, and....no show, no phone call. We ended up finding a smaller firm, Phil's Irrigation, who were extremely responsible and professional. Apparently Rainmakers has so much business they can't be bothered with an individual residence. I will never consider using this company again.

    Great - unlike our experience with another irrigation company, Phil's Irrigation was professional from beginning to end. They called back to schedule right away, and showed up on time. They were courteous and professional. They did find some additional repairs that needed to be done other than the one we had originally called them about. They gave us an estimate on the spot and we decided to move forward with the work. It was a little more expensive than I would have thought it would be, but that is my only complaint..
